We haven't been to a McDonald's in awhile, especially during Covid... we passed up Burger King and Whataburger to come to this McDonald's for breakfast before a softball tournament. We didn't realize that despite most restaurants opening their dining rooms to at least 50-75% capacity, McDonald's is still operating at 0% dining capacity. We found this out AFTER unloading our 3 kids and made our way into the restaurant. BONUS, someone was washing the sidewalk right outside the door and we got to walk through slippery slop to get inside. Double BONUS, the restrooms are closed. Nothing like making a stop after a long drive to grab breakfast and make a pit stop and not be able to use the restroom. So we ordered our food "to go". No video boards up, just a paper one taped to the plexiglass at the register. Order included a "big breakfast" meal, sausage McMuffin with egg meal, couple OJs, and a few extra hash browns. Food came out fast... drinks on the other hand, took at least an extra 5+ minutes. We just stood there as our food started to cool while waiting for our drinks. THREE additional people behind us received their food and we all just stood there waiting for the drinks to complete our orders. The lady behind us got so antsy, she actually spoke up. She ended up getting her drink and was out the door while we still waited for our 2 large black coffees. The odd part was, the lady who was expo-ing the food orders kept pumping out the food and never stopped to just grab the drinks to complete the orders. The guy at the register had to finishing ringing in all the walk in orders (probably 5 orders) to then be the one to get the drinks. Just odd. To top it off, even with the poor execution of service, the staff weren't friendly. No apologies for the wait. Just a "HERE YOU GO." Very disappointed with McDonald's not opening their dining. Nothing like eating hot cakes on your lap in a vehicle. Next time we'll go to Whataburger and dine-in at a table. read more

Oh for crying out loud, how hard is it to warm up precooked patties? It was chewy. How's long did it sit on the flat top? The quality control has been going down for years, but this is ridiculous. The one item that y'all specialize in and it's screwed up. It was replaced quickly, but seriously. That was sheer laziness and not caring. And your bathroom was not only flooded but a ton of flies buzzing around? What is wrong with your bathroom? Y'all need to wake up and pay attention to the details. My most recent experience with this establishment was disappointing. I used the self-service kiosk thinking that it would be faster and more convenient. Indeed, it was fairly quick and easy to use; however, it took over 30 minutes to receive my carryout order because the employees were mostly prioritizing their drive thru over their lobby. I do understand that the drive thru is usually busier than the lobby. However, customers in the lobby were literally being IGNORED by the employees on the other side of the counter, and by a couple/few employees who were just standing around chatting. One customer actually yelled out to the crew "Excuse me! Can I get two large drinks!?" because nobody helped him at the counter after he had been waiting about 10-15 minutes. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurant that has succumbed to poor quality service and disorganization. read more

I live in Angleton and go to the mcdonalds there all the time, it is very standard, bad service and wrong orders but when I stopped by the Lake Jackson Mcdonalds I was in awe, they were very professional and even welcomed me and my sister in, on top of this they asked us if we needed anything snd refilled our drinks for us, I know this sounds like what you'd expect from and resteraunt but this was a mcdonalds! The service is great in the mornings at least. Every time they are consistent and helpful for my grandparents. I mean every buisness has flaws but the mornings here are the best. In my opinion McDonalds fries are hands down the best....or at least they were. I have to say I haven't eaten at this McDonalds in a long time. The drive thru is always extremely busy so we decided to dine in around 7:30 p.m. The inside looked like a bus load of football players hit it after the game and left in a hurry. The place was so nasty. The soda area had spilled syrup all over. It appeared to not have been cleaned since the lunch rush. The floors had spilled food and icecream. I know I know it's my fault for not just turning around when I saw this but I proceeded anyway. We ordered 3 combo meals. My wife and daughter had the Mcrib and I had the mushroom and swiss. Lets start with the french fries. Limp oily and nasty, but on the up side they were hot. I was so disappointed. My wife found the Mcrib to have to much sauce. My mushroom Swiss burger was barely warm and was very dry. This McDonalds has really gone down hill. Hope the manager reads this and take actions to correct these problems. read more

I had no problem calling them up to kindly rectify the situation, however the "manager" that answered the phone was cold and rude and demanded that I drive another 15 minutes to fix it after they had messed up the order. She did not take kindly to my simple request to solve the problem and automatically assumed that I was coming back after they shorted me items on my receipt. It is not my responsibility to make sure the order is correct when they tell me, "Everything is in there, have a nice night." So when I had called, the woman on the other line had a stern tone and not at all apologized for the disservice but instead asked if I wanted the missing item or a refund, saying either way, I'm coming back. This is unprofessional and downright deplorable for the manager to be unpleasant to a paying customer who did not receive all items purchased. She had even asked for my name and I had responded to her request and I asked her why, and she said, to make sure you come back. Unsure if that was a threat or not, but I'm going to chalk it up to poor people skills and possibly poorly trained managerial staffing. I will rather go to the BK next door. read more
