My husband and I had limited time for a quick lunch so we opted for a non-sit down restaurant. It's been YEARS since our last Raising Cane's visit so we decided to give them another try. This location is in the Target parking lot and a little weird to get to... not a big fan of how difficult it was to park. I quickly downloaded their app thinking that we'd get some kind of free item for doing so. Nope. Thought they'd have some sort of point system where you accumulate points for free stuff. Nope again. Weird. It's literally there to order food. Probably will delete it since we don't come here much. Nonetheless, we both went with the 3 piece meals. They were EXCELLENT!! Loved the crinkle fries, the tenders were hot and crispy and the piece of bread was fluffy and delicious. I remember not liking the Cane's sauce last visit but today I thought it was GREAT. krisp-ity, Krunch-ity, Deliciousness! One of the better fast food places in the small town of Lake Jackson. Very consistent as far as freshness and quality. I've witnessed him yelling at employees in front of customers, including myself, and displaying disrespectful behavior toward guests. His conduct creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere, and I would not recommend interacting with him. 2. Lack of Cleanliness Cleanliness at this location is seriously lacking. The bathrooms are consistently dirty, the tables are rarely wiped down, the floors are often messy, and the self-serve station is poorly stocked. For a restaurant, this level of upkeep is unacceptable and reflects a lack of care in overall operations. 3. Rude Employee Interaction There is an older employee--possibly named Missy or Miss C--who has been noticeably rude on several occasions. Her demeanor comes off as frustrated and disengaged, and it often seems like she doesn't want to be there. It makes for an unpleasant customer experience. 4. Low Food Quality The food has also been a major letdown. The chicken lacks seasoning, the coleslaw has been slimy and stringy, and the fries are often unsalted. I've had Cane's in other locations and never had issues like this--the quality here doesn't represent the brand well. 5. Negative Drive-Thru Experience My experiences in the drive-thru have also been poor, particularly with a woman named Sarah. She was consistently rude--rolling her eyes, displaying bad attitude, and rushing through interactions. On multiple visits, she got my order wrong and pushed items I didn't ask for. Unfortunately, there are a few other staff members who behave similarly. 6. Positive Staff Shout-Outs Despite many disappointing experiences, there were a few team members who truly stood out and deserve recognition for their outstanding attitudes and professionalism. Luke, who I believe is a manager, consistently impressed me with the way he handled both customers and employees. He maintained a calm, collected, and respectful presence no matter how busy or stressful the environment was. I've seen him step in to help his team instead of just giving orders--he leads by example. He doesn't raise his voice, he doesn't talk down to anyone, and he actually listens. That type of leadership sets the tone for everyone else and shows that he genuinely cares about creating a better environment for both staff and customers. Hiram has also left a lasting impression. He's not only kind and polite--he's also incredibly sweet, engaging, and genuinely seems to care about people. He takes the time to interact with customers, ask if everything is okay, and make sure orders are correct. He always greets with a smile, and his calm and warm demeanor adds a much-needed sense of comfort to the customer experience. You can tell he takes pride in doing a good job, and it shows every time. Leah is another highlight of this location. She's kindhearted, respectful, and always willing to lend a hand. Whether it's wiping down tables, checking on customers, or assisting those with mobility challenges, she does it with genuine care. I once saw her bring food to someone in a wheelchair and take a moment to chat with them--it wasn't rushed or forced, it was thoughtful and sincere. She brings a truly compassionate energy to the place. There are also a few other employees whose names I didn't catch, but they showed similar kindness and professionalism. They greeted customers with warmth, kept a positive attitude, and made the environment more welcoming overall. Haven't been to one of these in years. Hasn't changed a bit. Super tiny menu. Tofu flavored chicken. Secret sauce is still just peppery ketchup-aise. Store was clean. Employee was ditzy but polite. Sucks. Asked for salt and pepper and received one packet of each. Had a total of seven French fries in the container. Appeared the chicken had been cut into thirds as the pieces were a lot type more around than a finger. Never again will this place get my business. read more

We wanted to try a something different so came here. Upon entering the lobby is small and loud. The gal behind the counter was friendly and helpful. We had a hard time hearing her and ordering cuz everything is so loud and over-exaggerated here; the acoustics are horrible. Don't plan on having conversation while you eat if there is 3 or more tables of people here. Our food came out quickly. The chicken fingers are chicken fingers,nothing more, nothing less. The fries are pretty good, the cole slaw is really good but the Texas toast is excellent. Come for the toast, not the chicken. First time eating here, chicken fingers were good. Crinkle cut fries were delicious, Texas toast was great. Good customer service and happy and friendly crew. My son didn't like the cane sauce on his sandwich and the manager remade his sandwich promptly and even included more fries. Looking forward to another visit in the future. read more

The tenders were fresh and were at right temperature. The service and speediness, I would have to give 5 full stars to. The only negatives I really have is I believe the price is a little steep for what you are getting. The tenders are up their in quality, but the side orders need help. Tonight was my second visit to Raising Canes and I have to say, I love their chicken fingers!!!!! They are nice and meaty. Two is my limit! The dipping sauce is zesty and you can see the black pepper, which I like. It doesn't take much to give your bite a zing! I also love the ice, it's that small pellet style ice. That's one of my most favorite things in the whole world! The register was acting up tonight and I thought we had just won the lotto! Lol. The poor cashier didn't have any idea how to make change correctly. The manager told him to do the math and the kid didn't have a clue how to do that. What a disservice we are doing to the youth nowadays. I wanted to take time to teach him just how easy it could have been to resolve this situation but instead I decided to keep my mouth shut and watch. With the help of a second manager he finally made the correct change. Bless his heart and shame on today's businesses for not teaching cashiers how to make change! Thank God they are open on Sundays! Canes will always hold good memories for us. It was the first meal we ate in our new house in TX! Once spring came around a late evening - to the beach and glorious sunset found us a little bit hungry. The chicken here is moist but not greasy the breading stays put. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers used to be the place to go. When they first opened I couldn't get enough of their toasted bread and the flavor of the chicken strips were amazing. As time has past though they only toast one side of the bread (very disappointing) and the flavor of the chicken has become some what rather disappointing. I'll still eat there but I won't order extra toast ever again, and I'll take the strips home and add more seasoning to them. So sad cause they started out so strong. I fell in love with Cane's long ago when traveling through Louisiana on business. I would make it a point to know which cities had Cane's. Now, we're lucky enough to have one here. It has reduced my fried chicken visits to almost nothing. I'd rather have this non-greasy, tender chicken cooked to perfection every time. Umpteen years of visits have never produced a bad piece of chicken. It's perfect road food, too, unlike fried chicken. Their 'Texas' toast is superb, and I actually make a copycat of their dipping sauce to keep in my fridge. I'm not a huge fast food buyer, but I go here, now, more than any we have in B'port.
