My father went inside to order some breakfast, and experienced a racist encounter where he was ordering, but then the white lady who was taking his order was acting as if he was Hispanic and that she didn't understand him. Today had just went in to get a iced coffee and hopefully breakfast but, let's just start with the drink. 1 it was not busy. Dine or Drive thru. Staff just standing around. Waited ab 10mins for my coffee to have no ice mind you. Not even busy. Could've just went to the soda dispenser and did it myself but then I wanted to taste it before I did it. Tasted like it's been sitting for more than 10 mins. Then asked the lady if she can remake mine and then she presumed to say do you want me to put ice in it for you. Then walks around grabs another cup full of ice and says they're was no ice in thay cup we served. Someone in the back says oh it melted. Then after she gives me another cup of ice in then takes the coffee and pours it in the Ice one and just says sorry ab that. Like I could've done that myself but, the total disrespect of the way she handled it. I've worked on joi ts like this before and you what we do. We remake you one to your satisfaction and to ours. Really hate going to this Mc. Donlads not because of the place. It's the staff. 4 years living here in Lake Wylie and all I want is a simple correct order with no problem. Like why is it that this place is failing. Mc. Donalds was a nice place back then but God people if yiu do not like your job or take it serious please leave. First off I want to start by stating that I worked at this particular McDonald's during a shift in management. However that does not excuse the extremely unprofessional behavior of in particular the management. I faced this unprofessionalism as both a customer and as an employee. I have special needs and was very straightforward and honest with the management staff about said special needs, however I never received those accommodations that was verbally agreed on. There are constant health code violations ranging from touching ready to eat food with bare hands to just picking entire sandwiches that were dropped on the floor. Personal feelings aside this McDonald's franchisee is extremely lackluster in service quality and doesn't adhere to all of the health and safety guidelines. As a father from a parental standpoint I will never let my son eat at this establishment. read more

I've been to this location many times. The food is the same as any other location but the service and accuracy here are below standard. My most recent visit was for breakfast. I used the drive thru and my order was accurately displayed on the screen. I didn't bother checking my order before I left because I had a been simple order. I received one breakfast sandwich correctly (minus the extra cheese I paid for), a breakfast sandwich that wasn't correct, and I was missing a hash brown. I called the location and spoke with a supervisor to let them know if the error. They couldn't care less. I'm sure my order would have been fixed if I went back, but I didn't think it was worth it. This was just the most recent visit. One evening I ordered inside and it was a long wait. The cashier decided to do one order at a time; she wouldn't assist the next person in line until the previous customer received their food. There wasn't a staffing shortage, either. I have had more negative experiences here than positive. I'll continue to visit this location, but I always do it during off-peak times. read more

Been up since 11 last night puking up whatever they served me. Against better judgment I ate most of a cold burger instead of sending it back. This location's milkshake machine is always "down". Either the employees are liars and don't feel like making milkshakes or the owner needs to invest in a new machine. He missed stopping at the first window at the drive thru and evidently there is no one competent enough in the entire place to just take the payment and give us our food. Not at the second window , not inside, not even the manager.... I mean seriously McDonald's, WTH! Get your act together! This McDonald's is by far the biggest laughing stock of a "fast food" restaurant I've ever seen. On multiple occasions I've stopped in, famished; I pull into the parking lot hoping they have their act together but every-time I leave more disappointed than the last. Trying not to succumb to a harsh day of hard working Manual labor, (obviously nothing these adult-children know about who stand mindlessly at the counter like their barred out of their minds). I order a simple meal of the number 7, 2 cheeseburgers. Nonetheless, I wait in the line for an outstanding 12 minutes, 12 minutes of mind numbing agony watching these workers enrage customer after customer because they're handing out the wrong orders, missing items, or being incredibly slow. I finally am rudely thrown my order through the window and it is slammed shut in my face. Cold burgers missing cheese, smothered in ketchup bun to bun is what I was presented with. Absolutely repulsed by the service and terrible way my order was treated I just threw the order away, I had lost my appetite. Every table in the place was dirty so we were limited on where to seat unless we wanted to clean the table. They need to dedicate someone to clean up after people. I typically drive the extra five minutes from my house to the location in RiverGate, as that location seems to be much better. I've been living in this area for several years now, and I just made my first trip here (most likely my last). There was a super long line at the drive thu, and it seems that there always is, and we went inside for what we thought would be a quick trip inside. All we wanted was to split 1 McFlurry. There were a few people who were waiting in line to pick up their food, and it seems that they had been waiting for several minutes. The girl was fast to make our McFlurry, however we realized why it was so fast once we tried a bite or two -- the toppings were literally dumped on top of it and not mixed in. Maybe it has been too long since I have ordered one, but I could have sworn that they used to be mixed in. Oh well. I'm not even a McDonald's fan, but now I know to probably just go get a Frosty if I'm having the rare craving for something sweet! I went through the drive thru and was ignored completely. They started taking the order of the person who come clearly after me, so I went inside... once inside I waited with another guy who clearly had been waiting to order, and was told that we needed to place our orders on kiosks... the elderly gentleman said that if they can't take his order he's going elsewhere and walked out. I tried for a few minutes to place my order on the kiosk. I work on computers so I'm not at all illiterate to how technology works, and even with 20 years in IT, I was unable to pay for my order and also unable to even send the order through. The manager on duty said there was known problems with the kiosks, then finally took my order after they completely ignored the inside customers and even after being told the kiosk had known problems, others who were waiting were still asked to order from the kiosk... After getting my order 15 minutes later, the fries were slack.. .this is outright theft considering how much you charge... Also the food was nasty and you could tell had expired from it's normal sitting times... I did frequent this location but you are losing my business. read more

Ordered 2 Strawberry& Creme Pies one Monday afternoon via drive-through. I unfortunately received 2 very burned, dry, unfresh pies with no visible expiration sticker. After taking a bite and realized they tasted worse than the looked, I came back thru and spoke to a young male and informed him of the issue. He took the McD bag with a disgust/aggravation look on his face then proceeds to scream "Chris, Chris!!!!...the girl at the widow said the pies are burnt and disgusting asking for some fresh ones, what you want me to tell her?" He then informed me that it would take around "13mins" for a new set as to which I obliged, then proceed to park my car and wait in the designated waiting spot. Then some came to my car, I assume to be the manager who asked me to move my car and go park "somewhere, anywhere, cause it was going to take 15 mins for the pies to cook" literally what he said. I was little taken back and was actually afraid to resume my order thinking someone would probably mishandle my food for asking to have the lies replaced. So after waiting 15-20mims the maintenance guy...!!!! Yes I said maintenance guy brought my food out to my car. I know this was a no deal as I worked for McDonalds for almost a year while in nursing school. So no I will not be returning to this location, not I won't recommend this location, and yes these pies will be going into the trash. Why Macdonald???...It's not that hard SMH. read more

This has got to be the worst McDonald's around. Was there last night 10/19/2018 around 7:00 and did not get out of there till 7:45 and that was take out, went in because the drive thur was back up all around the building. The manager that was working had the worst attitude I have ever seen in a fast food place. I have given this location many chances to improve and I just don't see it happening therefore I will not be going back. I was standing in the lobby there were at least 5 different people that were in the drive thur that had to come in for the orders being wrong. They were even getting the orders wrong on the inside over stuffing bags therefore they would not close. I would like for my bag to close if that means using an extra bag. After a year of declining service, I think this Company store is improving! Previous complaints addressed with Corporate customer service included cold fries, cold sandwiches, overflowing tarter sauce on the fish sandwich, lousy attitudes, overflowing garbage cans inside and outside, snail's pace through the drive-in window.
