These new fangled machines are confusing as hell!

Ok, so came here about 8:30 am on a Saturday morning for coffee and a couple hot chocolates. Not too many customers thus far. From all the construction in and outside of this particular McDonald's, I assume it was a newly constructed restaurant. I think it is McDonald's # 601,684,201,232,209,877th restaurant around the world. Very impressive! The certainly serve billions and billions and BILLIONS!!!! So, upon walking in, I was greeted by a cashier who immediately directed me to their new fangled electronic ordering device. See my pic... I was asked if I know how to use it, I said no.. Mainly because I was still a bit tired and didn't want to use much thinking so early on a Sat morning. So, I stated what I wanted and I think the cashier was still in training mode, because it took a while to order a couple coffee's and hot chocolates. You really have to have a couple things whilst using these electronic devices... 1) Patients and 2) Time. You spend more time hitting the "back" button then actually ordering what you want - at least this is what was happening during my visit, because one false option, and you "Think" you're ordering a few beverages and what you actually get is a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, with no cheese, extra bacon, no pickles, Big Mac sauce on a English Muffin. It's complicated. Then you pay and get your ticket and wait for your yummy treats. I guess it's only a matter of time before electronic devices completely replace human's.

I had a client in need of seat, and an outlet for his portable O2 in a standing room only Butter & Bean. So, one of the staff hears my plea for help and Jessie, the owner comes out. She makes arrangements for not only a seat near an outlet but grabs an extension cord to allow for some movement. The patrons in the entire cafe made way for Jessie and my client. I ask if we can just chill for an hour or so, till he gets charged up and she wouldn't hear of it. "Stay as long as you need to", she said. So, I bought my client a coffee and a sandwich, which was amazing, bought some coffees for those that made space for him, and invited the entire bus group to join us and support Butter and Bean. And we sure did. The food and coffee were great, but the spirit, the vibe and the whole experience I needed to share. Oh, did I mention it was Black Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1230p!!! Who does that??? Well, Butter and Bean does! So, get great coffee and really good eats, and support a business that we will proudly support in every way.

This time around I made a point to visit the outlets and was trying to find a coffee/breakfast spot to go to and this was the perfect location. It's literally in the outlets and it has a decent food menu and large drink menu. They have a regular menu as well as a specials menu. They cook food to order as well which was perfect. They had 3 people working - one cooked, one took orders and one was making drinks. We didn't have to wait long at all for our order. I ordered a Cinnamon Toast Crunch chai from the specials and it was delicious. My mom had a drip coffee and she really enjoyed it. We both ordered breakfast sandwiches and they were very good - the triple b - and added bacon. The croissant we got on the sandwich was very good! The garlic aioli tasted great but honestly could forgo on a breakfast sandwich probably . The eggs were cooked perfectly! Overall there's plenty of seating - a nice cozy vibe and it was clean inside. Lots of dessert cases and to go options. All around it's good if you're running in to pick up something quick but also you can sit and stay awhile and enjoy your food and coffee! Definitely check it out if you're shopping - or even if you're not!

However, I wanted to try a bagel from Courthouse Bakery, but they were closed even though they said they open at 7:00 AM. So, I did a quick Google search and did my research--as most people do not--and found out that there was another bagel spot right around the corner that also sold breakfast and coffee. Just like a New Yorker, I didn't drive my car; instead, I decided to take a walk to the other bagel spot. Well, I must say, I am not impressed. However, the score for this place is a 3.7 out of 5, only because it's a nice location, the employees have smiley faces, and the place is very clean! I recently decided to turn in my CDL and head back into the office, which allows me more time to get my workouts in and perfect my look. Normally, when I pick up something new, I do a lot of research; I dive all in. I'm glad I "dived into" coffee. When you're a truck driver, you usually hit truck stops where the coffee isn't great. However, being diverse and cultured, I started trying coffee in Latin communities. I noticed they used special machines, which sparked my interest. I eventually started visiting specialty coffee shops. Most of the places I get food from don't open until 10:00 AM, but coffee shops are open much earlier. That's how I found Passenger Coffee here in Lancaster. I knew it was going to be a great spot the moment I walked in; it was clean, inviting, and smelled amazing. A friendly employee greeted me with a smile, and their pastry display looked great. I told her I was new to coffee--only about two months in--but that I was enjoying trying different kinds. I explained how I normally take my coffee and mentioned that the last time I had one, it had foam on top. She gave me a small coffee to try, as well as one with foam (a latte or cappuccino). I think that's all I want to drink from now on! I used to make fun of people who said, "Don't talk to me until I've had my first cup," but now I finally understand why. I highly recommend this place for the excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the location. The pricing is affordable, too. I hope my review helps!

We chose this spot simply because we passed it several times during our vacation, as it sits right off Route 30. I headed inside while my family stayed in the car. Although I knew the building was fairly large, I was not expecting just how many tables and seats were available. From that standpoint, it felt much more like a sit down restaurant than the coffee shop I was anticipating. That said, they did have a designated area for ordering to go, which is where I headed. After looking over their winter specials, I tried to order something with peppermint for my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of peppermint syrup, which was also what I would have ordered for myself. I ended up getting my wife an iced mocha while I went with a hot coconut latte. My coffee ended up being decent. The coconut syrup was easy to taste, but it did not overpower the coffee itself. My wife's drink looked good with whipped cream and crushed peppermint on top, as they still had that available, but she was unable to drink it due to a stomach bug. The bottom line for me is that I might head back here again in the future. While I do not know that I would go out of my way just for coffee, it seemed like a nice place for a sit down meal.
