My partner and I stopped in for brunch on a recent weekday morning. There was no wait, and we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the pace of the service flowed well throughout our meal. The restaurant is clean and cozy and the seating area can accommodate different sizes of dining groups. I ordered the Elvis Crepe from the Sweet Crepes section of the menu and a side of Hash Browns with Southwest sauce. They were both delicious and filling, and it was a good combination of sweet and savory. My partner got a Savory Crepe, which he also enjoyed. The only disappointing part of our meal was the iced lattes. We both ordered different flavors - one Nutella latte and one with strawberry syrup. We couldn't taste any of the flavoring in them at all. Had our server not told us which was which, we would never have been able to tell. They just tasted like plain lattes with no added flavor. Especially disappointing considering you pay extra for the flavored syrups. What a gem! We loved this place so much that we came back two days in a row during our travels. The gluten-free and vegetarian crepes were absolutely delicious, and the custom drink Kenzie created for me was one of the highlights of our visit. Great experience! Second time here for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! I ordered the everything breakfast (crispy bacon) and a green smoothie (without protein powder). Green smoothie tasted healthy and very refreshing. Just what I needed. The crepe came out pretty quickly. It was HUGE (so come hungry). I was so tasty, I appreciated how much it tasted like a NYC bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The service was amazing, friendly, accommodating and attentive. We were seated outside this time and it was still pleasant though I prefer inside seating. Went as a family of New Yorkers to this place for a quality breakfast at an early hour, and it was worth the trip. Fun fact, I've never had a crepe prior to this visit! I'm not as much of a fan of thin pancakes with Nutella and strawberries (contrary to my daughter who had that exact meal - and ate almost all of it, a real win in our book). The French toast crepe, though, stuffed with eggs, bacon, and sausage, drizzled with syrup, called my name, and it was so good, I personally requested going back again the next morning! It's OK. Have been here previously for smoothies, which were good. Came back today for breakfast. I had the pickle chicken crepe....delicious. Perfect balance of chicken, pickles, onions, etc. My husband had the classic crepe with sausage....not so great. The sausage tasted like the same sausage they use on Digiorno's frozen pizza. I was visiting for the weekend and found Rachel's Cafe. The crepes could be made gluten free, and they were delicious! The ingredients all seemed very fresh. I had a gluten free crepe with ham, Swiss, tomatoes and red onions. I wasn't expecting the crepes to be as big as they were, but it worked out great because I could take some of it to go. I also have to make a special mention for the pumpkin latte; it was lovely -- not too sweet and just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. The service was wonderful too; everyone was very friendly and attentive. Lastly, I absolutely loved the Parisian theme of the cafe. You don't often find French inspired restaurants in this neck of the woods. Ambiance - love the homely vibe that they've gone for. Was comfortable, unassuming, cozy yet classy. Now the food Rodeo crepe - I got this one. After the 1st bite I felt like I got a spiritual experience. All the flavors came together at the right time. The service was positive. Our meals were unacceptable. There was no flavor, a few small cubes of cut chicken. One of the meals was incorrect, as black olives were left in the order. The server removed one meal from the bill. However I would have prefered the meal to be correct with more flavor. I found Rachel's Creperie via a blog while researching our trip to Lancaster. I'm so happy the blog included Rachel's because it was really fantastic. We got three crêpes, the Blackbird, the California, and a Nutella crepe with added bananas and strawberries. Everything was very fairly priced, and we were able to pick up our food for takeout within 15 minutes. There were some outside eating areas, so we ended up eating there as well. There's ample parking, which is nice the restaurant was very busy, so come early if you would like to sit down on a weekend for brunch. Everything was very delicious! Serving sizes were large. I will most happily eat here again in the future if I'm in Lancaster! read more

Went here with my husband for the first time on a Saturday morning around 11 am. It pretty busy but we got seated right away. We are from out of town and Rachel's was on our list of places to check out in Lancaster. I ordered the French toast crepe and he ordered the Oyler. Both were reasonably priced and very good, although I enjoyed the Oyler more. Each bite of the Oyler was just super flavorful, and I like how the crepe was stuffed throughout. The servers were good but it did take a really long time for us to get two crepes (like close to 30 mins) which was kind of disappointing, especially since we were getting so hungry. read more

One of my favorite places in Lancaster! My family has been going here since Rachel's first opened at the Queen street location. First off, all the crepes are amazing and there is so much choice to match everyone's flavor profiles. I always build my own to get exactly the ingredients I want. The infusion concept is somewhat new (in the last 5 ish years) but it adds so much flavor to the crepe. Their coffees are excellent. I love the seasonal menus, definitely try at least one thing on that menu. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the crepes are really filling, we normally take 1/4 to 1/2 of our crepes home especially if you get meat in it. Also the ingredients are really well distributed throughout the crepe so none of this meat on one side cheese on the other (burritos have this problem all the time). If you can save room for a sweet crepe because they are delicious, especially anything with fruit and creme. Also get the Parisian sunset smoothie, and thank me later! Service is always pretty good and food comes out fast after you order. It can be a bit noisy inside and outside (on the street) but overall ambiance is always pleasant and lots of people enjoying good food. Overall, this place is on my list every time I am in Lancaster. If you only have a couple of meals in Lancaster you won't be disappointed if this is one of them. Definitely recommend! read more

We walked here around 10:30 on a Thursday. We were seated right away. It's a fun and lively spot with lots of decor. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor seatings - we chose to sit inside. Coffee and peach/mint lemonade came out right away. The lemonade has a stainless steel stirrer with a straw attached. Appreciate that they don't use single use plastic straws! We ordered the citrus crepe which was piled high with oranges, Orange Curd, Nutella, Fresh Strawberries, and Whipped Cream. It was sweet and delicious. Veggie omelette has dill-Infused Crepe with Eggs, Swiss cheese, ,Bell Peppers, Diced Red Onions, Mushrooms, and Tomatoes. It was delicious. I'll definitely get this again. Rodeo omelette has eggs. After ordering via phone, we arrived to the cutout window and texted a number to inform the staff that we arrived and are ready to pick up. The staff is courteous and timely; this cafe's emphasis on efficiency is superb. We've never had a bad meal at Rachel's, and this cafe is our go-to for a filling, enjoyable meal. What I liked best about Rachel's; the overall vibe. Parking wasn't That bad, but we did get there at around 9:30 and discovered an empty parking space in the lot, as was described on their website. Yes! Back to the "vibe." Since it was such a pretty morning, I decided to eat outside, on their covered porch. I glanced around and witnessed smiling faces - couples, families, girlfriend outings; many seemed delighted to be out in the open air, happily eating their crepes. I was aware that it was a risky move, ordering the French Toast crepe, but I did so with abandonment, plus; the waitress hyped it up - stating that the unusual combination worked (savory cheese w/ sweet crepe). I also misread the menu. I thought the bacon and/or sausage would be arriving as a side and not a component of my crepe. The combinations of savory cheddar w/ bacon, within a sweet crepe, played havoc with my tastebuds. "Danger, Will Robinson!" Sadly, I tore into my crepe - dissecting the cheese and bacon, in hopes of seeking something pleasing. This was not the case and in the bin, it went. Ray's Famous Crumb cake was lemon. I happened to be in downtown Lancaster on a Wednesday early afternoon checking out the shops on Queen Street, and I needed lunch. My first thought was a brew pub, but on a Wednesday at 1 pm, none nearby were open, so I discovered Rachel's, and I'm glad I did. Rachel's serves savory and sweet crepes and is generally open for breakfast and lunch. I tried the recommended vegetarian Santa Fe crepe with hash browns on the side. It was excellent. Very tasty, good sized, and with a tangy sauce. I wasn't planning on desert, but c'mon how often do I get to have crepes?! So I had the berries crepe, which was also delicious, filled with fruit and topped with whipped cream. So I blew my calorie budget for the day, it was entirely worth it. I had a few Americano coffees as well, and they were both nice. Rachel's offers both outside seating on a porch, and a reasonably sized, but bright interior space. I sat inside. It feels like the bustling cafe that it is. All staff that I interacted with were efficient, friendly, and the whole vibe of the place is upbeat and welcoming. Rachel's is the kind of fun, funky, creative restaurant that evolving urban spaces want and need, but can't always attract. Lancaster has Rachel's and it is better for it. read more

This was my first taste of Lancaster city as I just moved here and boy oh boy... What a heck of an introduction. This place is super cute; lovely interior and a big patio for those who want to eat/drink outside. But enough about the environment... This place could be in a small shack for all I care cause the food was BONKERS. My wife and I ended up getting 3 different crepes because we wanted to try different savory and sweet options. The crepe itself has so much flavor; very milky and smooth yet a substantial bite as it has a crunch. We got the oyler and steak& eggs crepe. They both are super delicious. Oyler has an overwhelming hot sauce taste (tasted like Texas Pete) but if you keep chewing, it does blend. The steak and eggs are a perfect balance in my opinion. They use ribeye steaks and each bite, you can taste good quality meat; super delicious. What I appreciated about the crepe is that the filling is literally to the end. The end of the bite had just as much as the first bite. We also got side of hash browns and it was very flavorful. The dessert crepe is so good... Crepe at it's finest with that milky taste and you at Nutella and fruits... Cloud 9. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with everything. It does slow down a bit when the place starts getting packed but, overall good. I need to come back to try the coffee and drinks. I saw on the counter a cup of matcha and I really wanted it. You could tell the owner of the place invests a lot of time into decorating the restaurant. It has a certain character to it. I had a chance to order the Thai Chicken Crepe and let me tell you, it was truly unique. I have never tried anything like it! Since it's thai, you have to think peanuts. The combo of rice and peanut butter was absolutely awesomely delicious . The crepe is HUGE so I would not rush ordering dessert yet ( I was super full after having one cup of decaf coffee and the crepe ). Everything was delicious and definitely worth every penny. I didn't know crepes could be savory, but Rachel figured it out and has made a bunch of really interesting menu options that consist of chicken, veggies and sauces. #TEAMSAVORY. I got the blackbird; it was pretty tasty, but it was kind of bland. I think I'm spoiled by my South Philly Mexican food. I added some hot sauce, which helped a lot, and used as much salsa as they gave me, which could have used some more flavor (see above). This place is bumpin even at 8:05 am so make sure you get here early or else you'll be waiting in line. We waited quite a bit for our food too.
