We're from out of town and stopped by New Holland Coffee while visiting Lancaster, and honestly everything was amazing. We got the California sandwich and the Wild Mushroom toast, both were super flavorful and so good. The service was 10/10, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The decor... I have no words. It's absolutely beautiful inside. We've tried a few coffee places around town, but this one really stood out. The Caramel Apple Latte was delicious, the Iced Pumpkin Latte was perfect, and even the regular latte was one of the best we've ever had. Such a cozy, beautiful spot. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Lancaster.

Coffee and breakfast sandwich. Both yum.

My wife and I had a whole conversation on our way to Pennsylvania (from Long Island, NY) about the importance of trying new things. Yeah you can stick with the same old stuff you know, but then you miss out on new tastes, new sights, new sounds, and new experiences like New Holland Coffee Company. This Lancaster location started off our small getaway with a fantastic example of why you need to try new things! I mean I will say that nothing about the interior of NHCC seemed new in the coffee shop/cafe realm. The place had all the usual sights and setup, but I did like the heavier wood accents found in the chairs and tables. Plus the little fireplace window they had going added some coziness to the vibe. The positive vibe continued with a pretty friendly bunch of staff members who took our order and delivered drinks (and food) in a timely manner. Nice. What did we order? A couple of macchiatos with my wife getting the chocolate strawberry February special and myself getting a caramel one (both iced...no judgement despite it being in the teens outside degree-wise). Truth be told, I actually wanted a strawberry cold brew also featured on the February specials, but they were running low on strawberry syrup and so I settled for that caramel drink instead. A potential downer, but I appreciated them being honest about how much syrup was left and I did end up really enjoying my own caramel macchiato. Plus I tasted my wife's strawberry concoction and still got my strawberry fix with hers being absolutely delicious (perhaps better than what some local places made for the month, *gasp*). What was also delicious was the egg sandwich my wife and I shared. Delivered cut in half, this egg/cheese/bacon handheld on ciabatta bread (you can choose how you want it, but I went with this carb-enclosing choice) was fresh, crispy, gooey, and a perfect way to start our morning. Yum. Overall, New Holland Coffee Company of Lancaster deserves the accolades. Perhaps they are not one of the best coffee spots I've ever been to, but I will say that we visited two more coffee places in Pennsylvania and neither was as good as this one. So therein lies the downside of trying new things: sometimes it's not as good as you would hope. But if you're not open to new experiences you miss out on finding the new ones that you won't soon forget. Consider this when reading my review and deciding that New Holland Coffee Company will definitely fit the bill as a new positive in your coffee drinking life.

Perfect spot to grab an iced coffee on a hot Lancaster day! Honestly, this saved us from the crazy heat wave that enveloped the area on our Amish excursion. I loved that they had self serve flavored creamer. Why don't more places do this? Yes, I insist on making my ice coffee taste like a milk shake.

Great breakfast nook by the window.

I love this place. Good food, coffee and wonderful cafe vibe. We were staying at the Marriott and had our coffee and amazing egg sandwiches here every morning. It was perfect to order online and then pick it up so we didn't need to wait as this cafe does get very busy. Next time I'm in Lancaster, I'll be back!

Love this spot. One of the rare coffee places in this area that serves savory food! The vibe is awesome too. Great place to study or meet up.

cute cafe in downtown Lancaster serving good coffee. Both indoor and outdoor decor is a vibe and quite cozy. A bit dimmer in lighting than what I wouldve preferred but all good. Food was pretty tasty. We got the avocado toast with nicely done sunny side ups. Toast was fresh and so was avocado. I had a simple peanut butter banana toast which was what I really wanted at the time and did not disappoint. I loved that they have special latte flavors and lots of flavor options. Service was just ok though. Staff that took our orders was quite stoic rather than pleasant. But I guess it was just too early lol Anyway, not a bad spot to get caffeinated especially if you get lucky on street parking.

This place will become an annual tradition for me. Half a block from the hotel, not as busy as the hotel Starbucks during events but super busy enough but with food options. Coffee just as good as Starbucks too. Staff is very friendly and opened right at 7 am. Fake fireplace is centered and very inviting. Whoever thought of the placement of it must be a genius interior designer! The macaroon is appropriately tasty but don't expect to feel like you're in France. Lemon vanilla chip scone is reasonably flavorful and cold brew is spot on.

New Holland Coffee is a cute shop in downtown Lancaster. The setup is very homey, lots of wood inside and a fireplace burning right in the middle. Despite having already had my caffeine allotment for the day, I went in and ordered something anyway. The coffee was great. I loved that they offered a number of alternatives (including soy which a lot of shops have gone away from). I ordered a latte with soy milk and it was very smooth and creamy. The price was reasonable and, despite the amount of people in line and only one barista working, the service was pretty quick. Why not five stars? New Holland had a number of holiday/specialty lattes on their board. I love to try local coffee shops specials to experience something a bit different. I asked the barista if any could be made vegan, she said she could add vegan milk but she didn't know about the syrups. In other coffee shops across the country I've been able to get this question answered. Either someone working knows, or they find out. At New Holland, I was not able to get this question answered. A great product, good service and a reasonable price gets New Holland Coffee a new fan. Clearly marked vegan items or, at least, someone who can talk to me about their options would make New Holland Coffee as good as it gets.

For a place with "coffee" in the name, I expected better coffee. The coffee was almost flavorless and transparent. It was so weak. Maybe someone didn't make it right, but it was a bad first impression. I got the honey goat cheese toast which was large and really good. I loved the bread and the combination. I wish the cheese was spread on so it didn't all fall off, but I liked the flavor a lot. The beau got quiche, which was fine, with a side of turned arugula and salsa. Is eating salsa with quiche a thing? I've never heard of it. The interior was nice and clean. The service was fine.

I recently decided to turn in my CDL and head back into the office, which allows me more time to get my workouts in and perfect my look. Normally, when I pick up something new, I do a lot of research; I dive all in. I'm glad I "dived into" coffee. When you're a truck driver, you usually hit truck stops where the coffee isn't great. However, being diverse and cultured, I started trying coffee in Latin communities. I noticed they used special machines, which sparked my interest. I eventually started visiting specialty coffee shops. Most of the places I get food from don't open until 10:00 AM, but coffee shops are open much earlier. That's how I found Passenger Coffee here in Lancaster. I knew it was going to be a great spot the moment I walked in; it was clean, inviting, and smelled amazing. A friendly employee greeted me with a smile, and their pastry display looked great. I told her I was new to coffee--only about two months in--but that I was enjoying trying different kinds. I explained how I normally take my coffee and mentioned that the last time I had one, it had foam on top. She gave me a small coffee to try, as well as one with foam (a latte or cappuccino). I think that's all I want to drink from now on! I used to make fun of people who said, "Don't talk to me until I've had my first cup," but now I finally understand why. I highly recommend this place for the excellent customer service and the cleanliness of the location. The pricing is affordable, too. I hope my review helps!

Introduction:…read more Representing 2018 in alphabet series, O is for On Orange. The letter O only has 5 of the 8 possible years represented in the alphabet series. Interestingly, 2 of them are in Lancaster County, PA. This was prior to my parents moving to Lancaster in 2021. In March 2018, my girlfriend of that time & I took a day trip to Lancaster. I lived in Montgomery County, Maryland (near DC) at the time, and we were meeting up with a friend who was living in New Jersey kind of in the middle. We agreed to meet at On Orange at 12 PM on that Sunday, March 25 since we were driving from far away, and I think they were doing a day trip too, but possible they stayed a night in town, not sure. Also, On Orange closes at 1 PM too, so even more reason to be punctual. My g/f of then was notoriously late & took a long time to get ready. She was taking too long to get ready, and I knew we needed to leave if we even had a chance of making it on time. After a while I said I don't want to do this, but I will leave without you & meet my friend (& his girlfriend). I started the car and texted you have 1 minute to come out, and if you aren't out, I'm leaving without you. My timer reached 0, and I slowly was driving off, but I saw her shuffling with her coat and what have you leaving, so I waited. We got in the car, and I rushed off. If that weren't bad enough, my g/f said we needed to stop at her bank to get cash. Of course, there was none right within route, but saw a location right off I-83 in northern MD, Hunt Valley, but we wasted more time to get off the freeway, for her to go to her ATM, & get back on the freeway when we were running significantly late. I said we are running significantly late as it is, so why are we wasting more time. She claimed in case there was something she wanted to buy in Lancaster, but that was not the primary purpose, but I'll get to that at the end. I was panicking on the significant late, and that the restaurant closes at 1, and I drove above 100 mph at times on I-70, which I think was the only time I've ever gone that fast on 70, and maybe only 4 times ever in my life reaching that speed. Experience with the Restaurant: This is street parking around here, which was free meters on Sunday. We got a decent parking spot a block away. We walked in at 12:50 PM, which was 50 minutes LATE and 10 minutes before On Orange's closing time of 1 PM. My friend & his girlfriend were already done eating. He said that they had their stomach set for eating at 12, and there was pressure to order since it's not a huge place and pretty busy. I was annoyed with my friend for not waiting for us, but I get it because let's be honest, my g/f fault on that one. Server was cordial, and my g/f & I quickly ordered. Food came out quickly. We ate quickly, and my friend & his g/f watching us eat. Food was delicious, and they were quick, but to be fair, they were closing in 10 minutes, so they were motivated to get out of there. I got a pancake & egg dish as I recall. This was a top notch brunch. In spite of the negative experience of being so late because of my g/f, the experience at the restaurant was excellent. Conclusion: After brunch, we looked around downtown, Amish Farm (see my 5-star review of them written in April 2018), etc. and was overall a nice day with the 3 of them albeit very cold. After we left, I took the back road from I-83 all the way back to Germantown, MD where she lived to see something different and to save a little gas too since it's pretty direct going that way. My g/f was complaining about it taking so long getting back. I knew she was meeting up with a friend that night. But what I later realized, she wanted to stop at an ATM that morning really because she needed cash to pay that friend for cannabis that night. So, she disrespected everyone's time for this. I guess on a positive at least she wasn't cheating on me with that guy and really was just for pot. In conclusion, I thought On Orange was top notch, and they were accommodating to our time schedules.
