I must say that my food at this McDonalds location at 550 Gray Rd in Macon was the best I have had in the last decade. I was super impressed and called the manager to give her staff kudos. I dont write reviews but I feel compelled to. My fries were so hot and tasted great. All my food came out hot and fresh. I quit getting a large on my fries because I usually throw half away from being lukewarm to cold. I so wished I had a large after tasting how hot and fresh theirs were. We stopped for lunch, ordered TWO happy meals. When they gave us the total, one of the lady managers said it would be about $40 for the two meals. When we asked for our money back, after about 10-15 minutes of arguing back and forth they laughed in my mother's face took the drinks and happy meals and threw them in the trash. needless to say, we left without the food we paid for. They have yet to give us our money back. I don't recommend the location on gray hwy unless you want to donate to what seems to be a charity work gone wrong. read more

I should have took pictures before I threw my food away. This location is disgusting. My sandwich was full of brown, wet lettuce. The bread was so wet. I could not eat the sandwich. I ordered the new chicken big Mac no sauce, no cheese so that means chicken and lettuce, so why was the chicken wet and soggy? The workers did not wear gloves while preparing the food, putting the food in the bag, but was touching their hats, digging in their pockets and steel serving food talking over food laughing I will never spend money at this location. Waited in the drive through for at least 5 or ten minutes. Line started to back up and about 10-15 cars drove away because they were not being answered or served, so I went into the store and was told their system was down and they would be back up in about 10-15 minutes. I waited patiently. I asked for a water and the ice machine is not working correctly. I finally get my food and my cup after the system is up and every single one of the fountain drinks is stale and bad, tasting very flat. I complained about the soda machine and was told they were aware of this issue and that everyone was bringing their drinks back. No options were given in terms of a refund or fix. They were careless. They said they did not know how to fix the carbonation and didn't know what was wrong with it; and that none of the employees knew how to fix this problem... so I asked for a fountain drink from the drink machine in the drive through and was told that one was broken as well -- same issue, same excuse -- They didn't know why. I asked if the tea was good and they said yes, and so I asked to have some sweet tea. They went to fill my dirty cup with tea, and so I asked to have them rinse my cup first. So they chucked my old cup in the garbage, aggressively, then filled my cup up with stale tea. Gross. How you can live in Georgia and get sweet tea wrong is beyond me. The inside store closes at 11. They locked the doors at 10:45. Went home and lo and behold both my orders were incorrectly prepared. Very disappointed in the service. Called the restaurants phone number for the owner and of course their voicemail box is full. This store needs serious rehab. The food is wrong, the tech is wrong, the store is maintained poorly, and every aspect of my interaction with this store marks the worst experience I've ever had at a McDonald's in my life. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. I give them two stars only because of the few times I've encountered good service. Sometimes you get good customer service but most of the time you don't. I can't count the number of times I've went to this location and they either got my order wrong, or the ice-cream machine was down. It's just always something with this location, it really makes me avoid it as much as I can. I would say avoid this location if you can. Like I said, a handful of times you may get what you asked for but don't expect that to happen consistently. Find a better location if you can, go a little further down the street to the McDonald near GEICO or the one on Riverside, You'll be much happier with the results if you do your research first. I do not recommend going to this particular McDonalds. They have piss poor service, and get almost every order wrong, you have to be extremely specific, and speak very clearly. The tea tastes like the urns and nozzles haven't been cleaned in a few weeks. Just not up to par with some of the other ones. I know, it's just a McDonalds, but I'm buying food, and expect to at least feel welcomed and like I'm in a clean atmosphere. Maybe that's too much to ask? I wouldn't go back in there if my mother was dying and only a Big Mac could save her. One employee that worked there was looking at his phone walking through the store and almost knocked me down. I had to wait 3 minutes for the guy that took my order to read all his text messages. There was no ice in the lobby. No tea in the lobby. There was one person in line in front of me and it took about 8 minutes to get a breakfast with no special order. Every table in the place needed cleaning and there were no paper towels in the restroom. My food was cooked properly but tasted like styrofoam for some reason. After sitting in the drive thru for 30 min I was told that they would not honor the "Pick 2 for $3". I asked why the huge sign was still up on there drive thru menu if they do not offer it and why was I not told this when I ordered & inquired about it then? Horrible, horrible, horrible place. I used to go there for their breakfast on Sundays. Then one Sunday there was a long line in the drive through window and I had time to think and notice things. That is, notice things besides the bums and homeless people hanging around outside. I noticed wads and wads of chewing gum spit on the wall along the drive through lane. I also had time to figure in my head how much it would going to cost for what I'd ordered. That's when I caught this dirty, rotten cow. What she was doing is if you ordered several items, she'd overcharge you by sometimes two dollars. Since I had time in the line to figure the price and tax, when she told me how much it was, I flat out told her it was wrong! She reduced the price by about two dollars. Always ask for a receipt. If you pay by cash, they can over charge you and keep the difference. Later I went to another McD's in town, ordered the same thing and found that this location was putting in a tablespoon of this and that rather than filling the order. Maybe the staff was eating breakfast and we the customers were being charged for it? My sister had an experience inside. Bad, bad, bathroom. We're talking outhouse style cleanliness. We all left without ordering. Calling the McD's 800 number I was rudely told that they don't deal with such issues as a franchise is privately owned. Fast forward to today and see how McD's is failing on all fronts and you can see the real story. How they passed their health report is beyond me. read more

I kindly asked for my receipt-"we're out of receipt paper" I then hear the manager tell her-GO BACK THERE AND PRINT HIS RECEIPT! YOU NEVER TOLD ME THIS MACHINE WAS OUT OF PAPER!!" Then after sitting there for 15mins-they ask me to pull forward. As I pull away the window the attendant SCREAMS AT ME!! "Get the hell out of my drive through!!!" I pull forward wait another 5mins- I then get out of my car walk inside- with my receipt, go to the counter and ask for my order(very kindly) the manager looked at the window attendant- and said! "WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE HIS FOOD OUT TO HIM" with attitude and a sucks thru her teeth-"aw it hot out there"... I then snatched my order my order out of her hand!! Went thru the drive thru tonight. Sit at the speaker for 5 min before anyone said anything. When finally someone spoke up, we ordered a happy meal with cheeseburger and go gurt and small coke, 2 large diet cokes. The screen had apple slices. Corrected the lady then she changed it. Sat in the line while the lady in front of us passed food back and forth from the window to her car and so on. I made the statement if that was us, we would be asked to pull up, but not her!!! When we finally get to the window, we're handed a bag full of food ( not our order!!!) we hand it back . The girl who by the way has on a hairnet that she keeps scratching her head and while we're sitting there, her hair is all sticking out from underneath the net ( what's the point?) anyway we get handed our drinks and you guessed it. We're asked to pull up!!! I said No!!! You didn't make that last lady pull up and I'm not pulling up waiting on a happy meal!!!! I then get the happy meal FINALLY!! Only to discover I have a boy toy instead of the girl toy I asked for!! We tried calling the complaint line and you guessed it!!! The voicemail was full and will not let you leave a message!!!
