a dirty toilet in a stall
    Shawn S.

Restrooms are terrible and asked for cleaning chemicals just so I could use the restroom to clean stall and they told me just wait for the guy to clean them 45 mins goes by still nobody to clean them and I get the attention of the manager once again which seems like I was being avoided and ignored for my request for a clean stall she developed an attitude telling me to wait or use paper towels and water WTF water doesn't disinfect piss and shit on the toilet and this whole time I have to go and willing to clean the stall myself and then I get the comment from the lady that they can't all be that dirty and I opened 4 stalls and consistently they had piss and shit or one or the other all over the place so I'm not going to sit there and open ever single stall in Hope's to find a clean one when they are supposed to be on top of this since it's a travel stop rest area Update waited 1 hour later went back in to try and use restroom still in same filth and man claiming he just came out from cleaning it and will share pictures no cleaning was done and was told I'm freaking lying on the condition of bathroom and manager refused to look at pictures taking workers words I went to the family restroom and the door wouldn't lock and the manager told me are you fucking kidding me push the dam button it'll lock and no it wont as soon as you release pressure it pops out

This McDonalds was very quick to get through in a roadtrip. There is a big parking lot for it and you can pay with card

Very very very unhealthy food. Better to spend a tad more and get real food that won't harm your health over time.

It's unassuming and as original a menu as you can get within the burger genre. The vegheads in our party had to settle for grilled cheese and fries, because that's literally all they have without meat except for the three bean veg burger, but they were EXCELLENT. The meat-eater really liked his Yard Burger, which was a ton of stuff piled on top. But you can also get just a plain hamburger and a plain cheeseburger, nothing else added! The bread and buns were really fresh. The vibe here is industrial chic, but I think this is unaffectedly so and perhaps unintentional. This location is squirreled into a kind of shotgun-shack retail space, very narrow -- just enough room for one layer of seats opposite the counter and kitchen, so you can see all the action. No frills, but not shabby at all. This location has entrances front and back, which was good for us and allowed more light than you might expect to come in. Excellent restrooms. We quite enjoyed it and wished we'd had the appetite for shakes. Some unusual items: first off, they have a lambburger. Lamb is fabulous or at least it was before I was made into a veghead. It's really great they offer it. The other great unique item was Harney and Sons ICED TEA in a bottle, which I've never seen outside of Millerton NY (where Harney's is located.) One of us had the black tea, the other green tea. It was not overly sweetened, and was just really high quality. I'm not sure I've ever quite had an iced tea from a bottle quite this good. The staff were also wonderful. All in all such a pleasant experience we are now going to plan our travels up and down the Northway with this place in mind, as long as we have a carnivore in the party.

It had giant pictures of frozen, sugary beverages that reminded me of my childhood coke slurpee addiction. These beverages are called "Frozen Cokes" and "Frozen Fanta" (blue something or other and cherry). Pulverized ice, sugar, flavoring and some kind of color for $2 - any size. I got off the Saugarties exit and drove straight into the drive thru at this McDonalds. Moments later and just over $2 gone (think the tax was 14 cents), I had my "Frozen Coke". My inner child danced and I got back on the road. Then, a little over a week later, I was on my way to NJ and stopped here with my fast-food loving companion to both use the restroom and grab actual fast food. The review on the Big Mac was good and I did eat some of the fries (hot and crispy - the way they're supposed to be). And, of course, I had my frozen coke. So, if you're gonna hit a McDonalds, this one seems to be pretty good.

My family spent several days at a rental home a mile or so from Gracie's and, naturally, had to…read moregive the local diner a try. Gracie's is an elevated diner experience...all the breakfast and brunch things you could want, but up a couple levels from a classic greasy spoon diner. Not dissing the greasy spoon diner experience...love that...but this is based in that historical experience, with an overall nicer experience in terms of food and atmosphere. Also, before we get into the specifics, here are 2 words which would bring me in from just about anywhere: Donut menu. Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. The biscuit was good, large, and perfect with butter and honey. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week. She was friendly, enthusiastic, and never made us feel rushed. If I found myself in the Hudson Valley again, Gracie's would be a definite destination for me.

This a worthwhile place to pop in for a good meal in a nice…read moreriver view location. There are plenty of pleasant surprises on the menu for all sorts of diners. Our server was friendly. I hate to leave a harsh review but I see others have had the exact same complaints and this isn't my first bad experience here. Once we sat down and had our sandwich orders taken it was at least an hour till our food was out. I had to go to the kitchen after about 45 minutes and they said, oh, it is right here and brought out the bread/ biscuits app someone had asked for. Bread = 45 minutes. The rest of the entrees then trickled out slowly one by one ensuring half the table were done eating before the last salad finally arrived. We had assumed our server's shift had ended because I never saw her again in the restaurant until I went up to get the check form the cashier. She thenpopped out from somewhere to take over printing out my check. I suspect we were auto-gratuitied looking back but she never mentioned it. I failed to check and was just dying to get out of there It seemed like there were lots of staff but where are they and what are they doing?? . People at tables were just rubbernecking around looking for someone. No one was on the floor. No one was out in the tables. No one was watching food, timing, drinks, turning the tables, etc. It was busy when we arrived but almost empty by the time we left. We were there for over 2 hours. I wonder if there are systems in place that were created out of inexperience and are now the sunk cost way of running things. Are there sections? Does the hostess know how to manage pacing? Does the server understand timing and to check the tables? I don't mean to sound pedantic, I just don't think there are people here who understand that the job is to manage the flow, "but was it busy?" Yes, it is supposed to be. If you cannot serve someone, you need to wait to seat them. If you can't handle the tables, close a section. Just filling tables and figuring it out is unfair to diners. Thank god you can go to the front to get your check or we might still be there. :( No owner response needed

For my main course, , I had the Asian rice bowl with teriyaki beef. I chose the seasoned rice, and it came topped with cabbage, carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, broccoli, bokchoy, cilantro, and egg. I had mine with Teriyaki Sauce. The bowl was huge, and it was delicious. The meat was tender and had a good flavor, the veggies, and the rice were done just right, and I like the addition of the egg. Everything played very well together. It was rich, but not overly so. There was a lot of food, and I took some of the dumplings and the rice bowl home for later. I had a soda, but they also offer Boba tea, beer, even soju, among other things.. The price was very reasonable, especially for the fact that I got two meals out of it. I will be back. Thank you.
