Good! I got two burgers and an order of the small Cajun fries. My burgers were perfectly done and the workers were accommodating with my needs (I have celiac and Five Guys everywhere are infamously great about cross contamination.) The toppings held up well, even when I reheated my second burger the next day. The fries, unfortunately, fell a little short. They were a little under-seasoned and a bit flat and soggy. They were still definitely edible and decently fine, but I'm used to other Five Guys scoring extremely high with their fries. I hope next time I go they're better, because then I could raise this place to a 5/5! Overall, I'd totally recommend here for anyone who's hungry for burgers and in the area. My Bacon Cheeseburger Burger palace perfect! Dasher fast and fab. Store forgot my peanut butter and chocolate Milkshake. I could tell soon as Dasher handed me the bag it was light! I had to ask Dasher to look first after I tore seal on delivery bag open, I had to ask Dadher to look in bag first. I've never had one of these Milkshake before and was really looking forwards to tasting it. Yea but, hey human being here. I'll call Doodasher tomorrow. Get charges fixed. I like Five Guys. Today was no different. I (5 star) love their fries and I (3 star) like their burgers. I'm a big guy but still, I suggest the Cheeseburger Jr. The meat to bun ratio on the regular has too much meat for my liking. Order one (1) large fry and feed your entire family for a week. These are awesome and throw on some Heinz ketchup and maybe some malt vinegar to mix it up. Eat right out of the bag. The appetizers are the peanuts and they are decent and plentiful. Don't fill up on them even though they are free. The soda machine has 1000s of combination choices so I'll Come right out and say "Mello Yello with Cherry". Be brave! Oh and no, I don't want to try your shakes but thanks. It's fast food but will give you the greasy burger fix you need. Thank you for opening your dining area again to customers. It seems like that has increased my presence many times over the last week and although your prices are still high, I see things on your menu that a lot of other places nearby just don't sell - kosher hot dogs are one of these choices. Although when I come in, I don't sit down or stay long, I do sit and wait and watch my order being filled after grabbing my large beverages from the CocaCola FreeStyle machine - another plus from this place that isn't common in Kingston. I'm trying to cut down on my sugar (cutting down on the shakes) and salt (fry) intake, and have found these machines to be a godsend in this changeover period again. I listen to what's said on the door about wearing a mask upon entry, but I don't feel right the way it's worded with masks and food - since you can't feed your face without removing the mask yet, you can't legally remove the mask without a stiff penalty by being caught and that just not right at this time. I've found the hot dogs to be weird looking (cut fully down the middle and spread almost flat on the special hot dog bun cut specifically for Five Guys), but taste absolutely delicious. Made to taste, and even adding sauces you wouldn't think about if prepared at home, I'm beginning to like them here. A few weeks ago when the dining was curbside-only I tried them and thought they were disgusting the more I'm trying them now, I've re-decided my opinion. Also, what happened to your Five Guys-branded free roasted and/or salted nuts? All three times in the past week, I've been on the lookout for them, but have yet to see them again. Only two (2) stars.....not cause I didn't enjoy my burger (I did) but because my wife's burger didn't come prepared as she had ordered it. Store wasn't even at all busy and I stood right there as the burger was clearly ordered. When the order was done and she unwrapped it, was no resemblance to what she told the guy. After telling him, he gave her the missing components (lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions) and was left to her own to reassemble the burger. Good food, good pricing. Not gonna just jump out and say that its hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. No, nothing like that, but I will rave about how fresh and delicious the food is (for a fast food joint). Menu is pretty basic, hamburgers and fries (hence the name). Even selections for kids with hotdogs and such. Pricing is well within reason, considering you can choose any and all toppings you wish to have on your food (all free and included in pricing). No combo meals here. Just straight out al la carte items. The fries are actually well done, nothing overly salted, or wilting in texture. Fresh, hot, and crunchy. The perfect fry more or less. A "small" is actually rather decent for two people, anything larger than that, you might as well share amongst your group of friends. Burgers are freshly pressed, not frozen patties and are served two per bun. You'd probably be expecting single patties like most places, but they raised the bar with that one. Served on a nicely toasted bun, makes for a great meal. Only disappointment I found from this experience was the extremely small and very difficult parking lot to pull in/out from. Its pretty much bottle necked into one direction in or out, and almost impossible to make it across the 4 lanes of traffic that are traveling both directions from the very busy populous. Other than that, over all good food. Good atmosphere, and I'll probably be back again; or maybe even at a different location. Worth the money to satisfy that burger craving. read more

All of our burgers are cooked well done and juicy (or something of that nature) says the sign next to the register. "Well done" and "juicy" tend to be placed in the oxymoron category when dealing with burgers. By well done, Five Guys must mean "crispy, delicious outside with a moist, slightly pink center" and I am baffled by how they do this. Beyond the excellently cooked burgers lies the toppings and the excellently prepared bun. Ketchup, mayo, mustard, barbecue sauce, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, pickles, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, etc etc can all come with your burger for no extra charge, just choose what you want. Along with the toppings you receive two patties. Proportionally speaking, this is a great decision on the part of Five Guys since two patties compliment the abundant toppings perfectly. What this burger does miss is a signature special sauce along the lines of In-n-Out or Blue 9 down in the city. But sometimes simplicity beats all when it comes to burger and I'd rather the focus be on the meat instead of a sauce that masks the mediocrity of many burgers. But before you even get to your burger, you must fish through a sea of fries in your brown bag to reach the treasure of a meal found below. I ordered a regular size and was given multiple scoops of perfectly cooked fries. Cripsy on the outside, tender, real potatos in the middle, definitely some of the best fries...ever. Could have used more salt, but I do enjoy how the establishment allows the costumer to make that decision regarding salt intake. If it wasn't for the price (I paid a solid 8 bucks for my meal), Five Guys could come to southern California and wipe that smug smile off of In-n-Out's face. I tried this place after hearing a lot about it and was not so impressed. I requested my burger be cooked to "medium", but it was overcooked, dry, and not so tasty. The fries were a mushy mess, not done well for a place that only cooks burgers and fries! It overpriced as well, IMO. The atmosphere inside was raucous and chaotic, run by teenagers. She kept on messing up and even after I thanked her and she rudely sucked her teeth n walked away multiple times when I was talking to her. I loved it here! The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Before I ordered my meal, I used the restroom. It was one of the cleanest I've used in a fast food restaurant. The next thing I noticed was the staff. They were friendly, professional, and it was obvious they got along well. The manager was making sure things were getting done because I could hear her telling the staff what needed to be done. Our order was fast and everything was nice and hot! I ordered a Little Burger with everything except ketchup and lettuce. It had mayo, tomatoes, grilled onions, pickles, mushrooms, mustard on it. This is only my second time at a Five Guys so I didn't realize all the toppings they had. Glad they assumed I didn't want the sauces, peppers and relish because I would have hated that. The mushrooms were a nice surprise and so was the mustard. My friend got a Bacon Cheeseburger and loved it. Lots of bacon!!! His chocolate shake was great!! Fries were hot and crispy!! As we were sitting there, the place filled up with high school students and we then realized they were part of a chorus. They were there to perform Christmas carols in the restaurant for a charity and all sales within a certain time period went to the cause. They were wonderful singers. So...Five Guys. A chain burger place that gets raved about pretty much anytime someone brings it up in conversation. I had tried them before, and thought they were good but because they were a chain, I automatically assumed they all would taste the same anywhere I went. And so I sort of forgot about the one in Kingston. Man was I missing out. It turns out not ALL Five Guys are created equal. The one in Kingston is a GREAT location. For some reason unknown to me, the burgers are juicier, meatier and all around better tasting than any I've had before. When I crave a burger, this is what I want. I apparently associate "burger" with "Five Guys" now. Worse things have happened I suppose. I'm kind of also obsessed with their cajun fries, although they always give me SO MANY FRIES. I'm not really complaining, I just can't eat them all in one sitting since I usually have already consumed a burger the size of a toddler by the time I get to the fries. On another note, am I the only one who still gets giddy when I walk into Five Guys and realize I can put whatever toppings I want on my burger with NO EXTRA CHARGE?! Let's face it, this is the best fast food you're going to get in the Ulster County area. Burgers are always fresh and delicious, the hot dogs are tasty, the potatoes for the fries are delivered new every day, and the choices for toppings are broader than you get it most places. They always add an extra scoop of fries to the bag so unless you're extremely ravenous you don't need more than a regular order which is actually enough for 2 people at least! The regular burger is a double stack, be aware. The junior burger is enough for one person, especially if you load up on veggie toppings. The only fast food burger chain I know to be better is In n Out burgers and they're not coming here anytime soon! read more
