Well to start i walked in to the floors being so so so slipper, i almost fell! Anyways i went to do order and the kisok was working hasn't been working for week. With how many times i've gone there and there hasn't been atleast one thing not working or not available. So after i tried multiple times to work it i went up to the register and of course nobody was up there. I sat waiting patiently for almost 15 minutes, and when someone comes over they were the only there that was being kind saying i could order. Then her manager comes over and yells "breakfast time is over ended two minutes ago". Id been wait very patiently and couldn't even get what i wanted. Could there be a perfect McDonald's?? If so, this one - of the hundreds I've ever been to throughout half the country and abroad, from little kiosks in bigger stores to two-story stand alone restaurants - this would be it! What's supposed to be crispy, is crispy (i.e. fries, hash browns). What's supposed to be warm and soft, is warm and soft (i.e. burgers, McMuffins). What's supposed to be cold & sweet, is cold & sweet (i.e. sweet tea). I think they follow the McDonald's recipes exactly the way their supposed to be cooked - at least every time we've eaten their food! And this store's staff is always so friendly, respectful, and courteous. Always with a smile. Our dog even knows this McDonald's and gets excited when we pull in because they always give him a treat at the drive-thru window! Nice touch. This store is very much 180-degrees opposite of your typical Cleveland area, inner city ghetto McDonald's with those apethetic "Pop Copy" employees working there. (If you don't get the latter reference, search YouTube for Chapelle and Pop Copy - it's actually quite amusing... when you aren't actually dealing with them in real life!) My ONLY complaint (other than being in the dinky 25 MPH revenue-collector "cops" mispronounced town of Man-ah-way) is that they aren't 24 hrs. I went there for a simple lemonade. They told us they didn't have lemonade so I asked for fruit punch no ice. It took him a while for a simple fruit punch no ice. He opened the window and said "sorry I keep putting ice in it, is it ok? Because I had to wait for 5 mins I said ok. The drink had no flavor and it tasted just like ice. I went inside later to do it myself because I personally don't like ice. And all the doors were locked while there were still customers. The customers looked at me and started saying cuss words. From giving customers the wrong dipping sauces (or forgetting to bag them altogether) to not putting the correct amount of ordered and purchased food in the bag, the McDonald's in Mantua, Ohio is the most consistently bad fast food experience I've ever had. For instance, today I ordered (and paid for) Double Cheeseburgers, but received McDoubles instead. To add insult to injury, I ordered a Double Cheeseburger with only ketchup, but received one (a McDouble) with just pickles. Oh, and there were no dipping sauces for the McNuggets I ordered. Now, one may think that today's misadventure was just an outlier in an otherwise reputable fast food establishment (mistakes happen from time to time), but that simply is not the case. Mistakes like this tend to happen more times than not, with a 30% success rate rate over the last 10 personal visits. In fact, most people I know who frequent that restaurant say pretty much the same thing. How does a business like that, with such a horrible local reputation, stay in business? This McDonalds used to be one of the best around - always fresh food, hot and delicious. In fact, most of the times I drove past as it was one of the only "good McDonalds" in a sea of mediocre fast food places. Unfortunately, the years have not treated this establishment well. Noticed that the quality was going down over the past few years culminating in a terrible experience this past weekend. I recently went to this McDonald's as I do frequently. I had a mobile coupon to scan, a young girl tried to scan it and it did not work, so a young man tried to scan it, it didn't work again. It was a Mcdouble for $1 normally $1.39. They would not honor the coupon, told me I had to pay full price. I said I will coupon price. I feel deeply violated. The amount of emotions that arose from my experience at this chain restaurant is indescribable. First, the line was longer than a male adult film star's anatomy. The fact that there were no more two employees to help slay the crowd of hungry and distressed customers was completely unacceptable. However, the absolute worst part about this whole experience was that the ice cream machine was smashed. The time read 11:54 and 33 seconds in the evening and I was on a late night dairy craving. Do you mean to tell me that my needs cannot be satisfied at this hour? ACTUAL tears from MY body hit the floor. And, unfortunately for my friend, THEY WERE OUT OF ARGUABLY FAKE DEEP FRIED CHICKEN BODY PARTS. That strangely delicious fake meat product is what they're known for! Their ice cream machine was already smashed but now I have to deal with the lack of chicken product! So disrespectful.
