Sports bar right here in garrettsville, great food my favorite is the smash burger and wings. It's got a few pool tables and plenty of TV's to watch your favorite sporting event on. Ambiance is just a casual sports bar, staff is friendly and quick to put your order in or get your drinks refilled. They have weekly specials come check them out. read more

awful service, we walked in, saw no staff except the bar tender, we said hello to her and then were completely ignored even though it had a total of probably 8 customers hanging out, she was not busy, so we ended up leaving. I'd say go to Sean's Pub next door, way better food and service read more

Food is good, my go to is fried pickles and the fast food smash burger. Drinks are good and fair priced, bartenders are super sweet especially my girl Paula she keeps us entertained. Free pool! And a lot of tables. Can get pretty busy on good days and then can also be empty on others. read more

First time here. Walked in and got the usual looks from the locals. Settled in to a spot at the bar. Bartenders very attentive and enthusiastic. I ordered the black and blue burger mid well. It was medium. I ate it anyway. I was imaging more blue cheese bc the menu said "topped with chunky blue cheese." It was a lighter blue cheese dressing with no chunks, but it was still good. Definitely a nice place for this area. Lots of jovial and comfortable customers who are definitely repeat customers. Great conversation at the bar. I'll be back for sure. read more

Slim's has a great selection on draft, always the same favorite domestics but also always changing craft selection. Bottled beers are always cold and they have great happy hour prices including a power hour where a domestic bottle only costs $1. The food menu ranges from wings tossed in homemade sauces to 1/2 lb burgers to pulled pork sandwiches. Great place to have a beer and catch a meal while watching the game! read more

Gotta love Slim's! This bar/eatery is huge. The bar itself is a wrap-around bar and could probably seat 20+ people. Their restrooms are small and it's not usually very tidy when I'm there :-/ But they have 4 pool tables that you can play for free- one located by the bar and 3 more off in their own area of the building, several TVs, an electronic jukebox and KENO, a very large dance floor, a lounge area with couches and coffee tables as well as a big screen TV, and a high-table seated area. They also have an outdoor patio. Although mostly a bar, they do offer a variety of very good food provided by neighboring Sean's Pub. Slim's is not really a place you'd go during the day as it is more of a bar environment than a "bar and grill" type environment. It's mostly a townie bar, but the type of crowd it attracts on any given night kind of depends on the occasion. On a typical Friday or Saturday night, you'll usually see mostly townies and a smaller group of college students if it's August-May, probably from Hiram College down the road. The college kids can get wild sometimes but they bring a fun, refreshing feel to the bar. But, like I said, it depends on the occasion- there are a few times I've been there that it was almost completely dominated by college students. The service is great all the time. Sometimes you'll go there and there will only be 10 or 12 people there, other times the bar will be packed with 40 or more people, but the service remains consistent. The bartenders are very nice and catch on quickly to what you like if you go there a few times. Very large selection of liquor. The have DJs sometimes and they also do karaoke sometimes. Never again! When we walked in the door, we didn't know whether to be seated or wait for someone to seat us. After 8 minutes of just standing there, the bar tender said, "Can I help you with something?" Our server was nice, but out of the 4 in our party, 3 of us received wrong items. Slim and Jumbo's has always been my go to hang out spot but recently I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. Not only do I consider myself a "regular" as I've been going there since they opened, I also consider myself to be a loyal customer. Customer service is the key to a successful business and unfortunately Slim's is allowing their customer service to slip through the cracks. Usually my bartender is Kelly and she does a great job. She's super personable and constantly wears a smile. My last bartender was the exact opposite of Kelly. Her name was Chelsea, blonde hair, and not only was she rude, she was incredibly dismissive and made my party feel as if we were an inconvenience to her. She had all the time in the world to text on her cell phone, however, receiving refills on our beverages seemed to be an issue. The lack of hospitality and crude us timer service I received from Chelsea was enough to ensure that I will NOT be back anytime soon. Customer service is the one thing that will make or break a company in today's economy. It's terrible that utter laziness and a lack of effort can cost a company; a loyal customer, their reputation and obviously, money. My bartender made me feel as if my money wasn't that important so I will be sure to take it elsewhere. read more
