BIG ARCH review: The new, limited-time sandwich debuted 3/2/26 but I tried it a day earlier. Basically the love child of the Big Mac (pretty much the condiments) and the Double Quarter Pounder (the patties), with a bolder sauce, both cooked and crispy onions, and a newfangled bun. -- The Bun: Way too big, even for the double patties, and way too dry. Poppy seeds in addition to sesame. Odd flavor, like a science experiment. Not good. Bad, even. -- The Sauce: Bright orange, thick, and somewhat spicy, like a cross between French and Thousand Island dressings with some hot sauce added. Very good. -- The Cheese: Three slices, though I think they goofed and only gave me two. Whiter, thicker, and cheddar, so more flavorful than their usual. Good. -- The Patties: They seemed thinner than the quarter pound patties, but after a half hour in their plastic steaming drawer, who knows. Even after that drawer time, very dry. Make that very, very dry. Not good. -- The Onions: The cooked ones got lost in all the other condiments and the dominant bun, but the crispy onions stood out, but for the wrong reason. Artificial tasting and unpleasant. Not good. Bad, even. -- The Lettuce and Pickles: Way more lettuce than on a Big Mac, but the same. -- The Price: $9 and change before tax for just the sandwich, and $13 and change for the meal. Seemingly high for fast food, but everything's double these days, so who's to say. I'll say this: it's only a little bit more than a double quarter pounder, and you're getting extra cheese and extra condiments, so not as unreasonable as McDonald's often is. It was a fun experiment. ONCE. And once again, McDonald's new creations don't address the quality of the ingredients, especially the beef. It's more like putting lipstick on a pig. -- The Fries: At least the fries were good. Lengthy, crisp, and hot. As for this particular McDonald's: Very modern inside, with comfy seating. But good luck finding your way in and out of the parking lot. And you may need to circle a few times before finding the drive thru. There used to be a time when everyone knew that Five Guys was better, but the price difference was enough to stick with McDonald's. Nowadays, that gap has almost closed. I try to choose neither, but if forced to choose between the two, I'll choose Five Guys over McDonald's, and there's one in the same plaza. read more

This review is for the new McDonalds on Boston Post Road that just opened this week 07/31/26. I was so excited to have a McDonalds so close to our house..that is until I went there... Walking in I was shocked - I-there is no sense of welcoming - the place seemed to me to be cold and off putting.There was a counter but no menu sign and two young ladies standing there - no registers - If you want to eat you have to order from a computer kiosk. And if you want a discount you need to order from the app from your phone or scan your membership from your phone. After several attempts to try and order we gave up and while walking out the ladies then asked if they could help. we opted for the drivethru. The only word I understood from the kid at the drivethru was "McDonalds" the rest he mumbled - Success!!! order placed - drive up to window #1 and pay - window #2 get yer drink - window #3 food - yay - apparently you have to ask for napkins and ketchup..who knew??? would I ever go there again???? not a chance - Ray Kroc is probably rolling over in his grave. read more

It's my own fault. What was I thinking going to McDonald's in the first place. When I got to the office I opened my breakfast up, no pancakes and everything is cold. Never go here. The only use for this overpriced crap of a building is parking for Canes, which obviously been its only real use as they have a ginormous sign saying McDonald's only. read more

I ordered food from Doordash from this McDonald's. One of the order was for a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and no pickles. What I got was a Hamburger with pickles. Even though on the receipt they have it correct. I contacted Doordash and they refund me the cost of the Quarter Pounder. I went to the McDonalds location on 173 Washington street in Hudson MA and first did they're did not have my mobile order of 2 20 pieces and 2 doctor peppers. So I ordered it again and they charged me more than 37 dollars when it should be closer to 25. They then told me they couldnt give me the money without a card even though I purchased the order with Apple Pay. The managers name was Sebastian he was very difficult for no reason. McDonalds occasionally has poopy butthole service making us wait in the number 1 waiting lane often and fricken messing up our order some times. I came here already pretty upset because the line at Wendy's was long. When I went through the drive through, it was fine. I asked for a medium meal and didn't get the fries. I went back to ask for the fries and was told I never ordered fries outside the meal, I told them I was missing the fries apart of the meal. With a lot of disrespect, the lady literally threw the fries in the bag and threw them out the window into my car. The fries all over and when I said thank you, she turned the other way and rolled her eyes. I try not to go to McDonald's often but if I'm in a rush and I pass one, I jump right on it. At this location I got just what I wanted without having to send it back. The fries were super fresh and NOT TOO SALTY!! Surprised huh... Because I was surprised. I got a deal on the baked apple pies, 2 for $2.00 and they weren't OLD, I don't know how many McDonald's I go to and I get old dried out apple pies that are hard and barely seem to have any filling. Fast food is expensive anymore so to find these kind of issues is very disappointing. I am not sure if there is new management or ownership, but I am highly disappointed in this establishment. When my wife and I moved here last year this was a top notch place, but in the past several months this place has gone done hill fast. One thing I did notice was that the "normal" crews were gone. Not just the absence of one or two people but a whole crew. Ownership best figure out how to change things around because this place is headed to hell in a handbag. Cleanliness- Bad- when i began coming here 5/17 this place was kept very clean. Now it appears that no one is cleaning the place at all. Food Quality - Mediocre - Sometimes you get something fresh but most of the time it seems like it is a "leftover". Order sweet tea last night and it tasted like it had fermented. Just a gross taste. Timeliness- Bad- This is a fast food joint right? Well expect to wait at this place. Employees have one speed "SLOW". Accuracy- They cannot seem to get it right. You order an everyday item on their menu and you end up with the wrong item or an incomplete order. Anyways, less I digress. It may be a good idea to have someone who understands English doing the drive thru. Pulled up just to get a coffee with hazelnut and the lady on the other end just kept saying "cream and sugar? You want cream and sugar?". No matter how much we said yes she just kept saying that. So we decided to go inside and the lady at the front didn't know how to make a hazelnut coffee because the computer didn't have a hazelnut button on it. I said you just put a pump of hazelnut in it and she said no the machine does it so we can't. I was like okay do you see those pumps of syrup just put a pump of hazelnut syrup. She was like oh okay. At the drive thru, the first advertisement I saw was for a bacon burger. Unfortunately, I was told that they stopped making those. Why did they advertise it then? Problem 1. Waited a few minutes at the window because they ran out of fries and had to cook them. Problem #2. Put fries in the bag side-ways so half of all the fries spilled into the bag. Problem #3. I ordered a small drink and asked for a small cup since they forgot to add it to my meal. The employee gave me the most dirtiest look as if I was the reason to why she doesnt have a dad.. Without a word, she slam the cup on the counter. Gave me a lazy dirty look then walked away. I eat breakfast at this location 2 or 3 times a month over the past 6 months. The drive-through is pretty busy during breakfast, but I have yet to have a problem. Cashiers and pickup window folks are consistently friendly and my order has been correct with each visit. McDonalds has my favorite breakfast sandwich, biscuit with bacon, egg and cheese. I'd been to this location a couple handfuls of times over a few years, mostly because they are 24 hours and desperation fast comfort food...well...except this one. Hit or miss quality. When it's a miss, it's quite total. The more rare hit is still about 8 points sub par for McD's chain standards. To the point it does not taste like the same food I've had at others. In some ways it's classic mismanaged McDonalds type issues. Fries are typically undercooked, partly mushy, then left too long under the heat lamp so they dry out to hard points, too little salt, burgers hastily assembled and inconsistent, underflavored like they are deviating from the special recipe to cut costs. Or also too long under the heat lamps. Hash browns also typically undercooked, eggs and beef are typically well overcooked to thin pucks...sure does not look like the picture anymore does it? Anyone that has been to the golden arches on a Wednesday knows this type of "uh oh two people called in sick, one quit today at McDonald's now they are behind on food prep/ordering, darn it, never caught up all week, resorting to half trained folks to do the work, sure gonna be some sad emojis leaving the drive through this week, oh well, hope they don't write Yelp reviews" scenario...but this get's worse in lovely Marlborough....much worse. Things that are every once in a while undercooked on a bad day elsewhere are hardly cooked at all in Marlborough. Temperature and texture tells the story: this food has been sitting for a good long while beyond average before it got to you, every time pretty much, and it wasn't prepared all that well in the first place. Don't get an apple pie here unless you have easy access to a microwave to actually cook it...or do...if you like uncooked cold crumbly crust with partially crunchy apples in tepid sugary goo that is drying out. It used to say Hot Apple Pie on the box when they were really good, deep fried, and really bad for you...remember? People getting burned because they did not read the box...now they apparently fear to cook (or bake) them at all to avoid fresh lawsuits. Time before last I got an egg mcmuffin that had some kind of hard plastic crunch terrible texture in it. Horrifying really. I almost vomited. Spitting it out back into the bag, promptly threw it away, could not bring myself to actually investigate what that was, just wanted to pretend it did not happen, go home, and make some food that was not disgusting but took longer. Couple weeks later, figured I'd give them one last try, desperate and starving after a long night...or more early morning to be precise. And possibly because I hate myself. This time I checked the sandwich, thinking I was paranoid, bad food lightning can't strike thrice in the same place...guess what? I was rewarded with a vision of a large dead insect in the folds of my breakfast burrito. Something that may haunt me for a few more months. Again, almost vomited, a dry heave because I noticed the bug before I took a bite at least, stomach was empty...this time. My stomach is strong enough to survive what this branch (now dreaded as the worst location I've ever been to and stupidly went back) has been putting me through to this point anyway. Two times, weeks apart, I got these experiences. Imagine what you might get...and not notice until you feel a little nauseous and don't know why? It passed after a trip to the bathroom. You are probably fine. This branch should probably be reported, by rights sued, and thanked for successfully getting me off of fast food for several months, possibly for life. I am eating better and feeling more healthy. I hope the owner of this franchise reads this...I'd like to thank this absentee big mac chief of semi-profitable disgust personally. With a breakfast sandwich I prepare for them that they have to take a big old bite, no matter what I put in it. Firstly, this McDs is not open 24 hours in the dining room anymore. According to the sign posted it closes at 11PM and opens??? (No time given) I used to come to this McDonalds a lot and the food and service was always great, but there were issues outside and having almost got in a few accidents refrain from visiting anymore. If one is coming from Rt 20 west, you can enter and park or get into the drive through lane. That is all fine, but if one comes in from the other entrance, Northborough Rd, that is when there is trouble. Almost all that go to the drive through from here go straight into line and not around the building. This basically blocks cars in from exiting properly as there can be a line across the exit. some cars even enter to the left ignoring the arrows. It is a disaster waiting to happen. I have pointed this out to managers in the past, but they all ignore it and do nothing. A few appropriately placed posts (to prevent cars getting in line from Northboro St) and some signage would solve the issue, but they seem not to care and instead would risk an accident.
