We got 2 delicious sandwiches from their seasonal menu: La Caprese Poiastro & the La Bomba. Right when you walk into the place, you're hit with this delicious smell. The type of smell where you automatically say to yourself - oh yeah, this place is gonna be good. The sandwiches were huge & packed with so much flavor in each bite - heavenly. The spot is beautifully decorated, the menu is on your right in big clear letters with the prices. It is ran by this lovely couple that has a cute portrait of themselves in The Simpsons version on the wall. The owner is very friendly, helpful, informative and patient if you're a first-timer here and have no idea what to get! Come and please try this place for yourself because if you don't, you're simply missing out.

I'm a big fan of sandwiches around, and I'm always on the lookout to add spots into my sandwich roster. In my opinion, after my experience there today, I can confirm that I plan to be back at this establishment. The staff were friendly, and the inside of the place was clean with nostalgic Italian wallpaper of different advertisements that we don't really see anymore. Best thing about this place is that the sandwiches speak for themselves. Two sandwiches were ordered, one off the standard menu (Tutto) and another off the Fall/Winter menu (La Gabagool). The quality of the sliced in-house meats, along with other fillings, and the airy focaccia bread is what gave this place into my sandwich shop roster. All of it was tasty, didn't give me the overwhelming feeling of being full, plus the assortment of beverages to choose from made the experience a bit more memorable/enjoyable too. I'm really excited for the next time I come to this place, and hope that if my review/opinion of Tazza Caffe & Paninoteca brings you in for a sandwich, you have a similar or better experience than me, because this place has the making of greatness now and into the future.

Located in tucked away next door to the Richdale Convenience in Northborough (Center). Tazza Caffe & Paninoteca offers a selection of signature Italian paninos, piadinas, insalatas, coffee, espresso, mochas, lattes, and hot chocolate. They also sell snacks, Nutella, and small desserts. I stopped by Tazza Caffe to try out one of their Italian sandwiches. It took me a moment to decide. The space is order at the counter and there is a pickup counter for online orders. There are red metal high tables with no seating. I went with 10. Polastro ($12 plus tax), which I chose seeded Italian bread and hot pressed. My sandwich was all set in 5 minutes. The Polastro was amazing which had thin slices of roasted chicken, provolone, garden greens, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, Italian aioli on warm crusty Italian sub bread, soft and chewy texture. I finished my big sandwich in the parking lot and I thought about running back in the shop to order another Italian sandwich, which would be the 4. Tutto for next time. However, I had to be someplace and headed back on the road.

In a world of $14 sandwiches that leave you feeling hungry, Tazza defies the status quo. Wow!! I ate half of my Tazza Club and am completely satisfied. It was exceptionally delicious. Stuffed full of fresh ingredients. The spread is just the right amount of spicy. The shop is run by a super nice married couple. They had samples of focaccia and cheese with cherry tomato and balsamic on top that were outstanding. Definitely recommend supporting a business like this!

Well this was an exciting discovery. New sandwich shop in town, Tazza Cafe and Paninoteca. Lots of great Italian sandwiches, salads, and coffee options. I had the "Valencia" - Roast beef, spreadable sharp cheddar cheese, garden greens, tomato, and Calabrian aioli. Absolutely delicious. 5/5 I can only compare this sandwich shop experience to a really good first date. I'm so excited, and can't wait for our next encounter. Hope one of us doesn't mess it up.

Have to agree with the other reviewers. This place just does it better. Got a salad and chicken ceaser sandwich. The sandwich was amazing. Customer service was fantastic as well. Place was pretty busy when we were there, but they kept up with everything really well. Want to come back to try their other offerings.

As a self proclaimed sandwich queen I had to check this place out! It's a small adorable shop, with super friendly staff and lots of additional snack and drink selections. The portions are HUGE, considering the cost you get so much BANG for your buck. My sandwich was absolutely delicious and it was big enough I could break it into two days worth of lunch meals. The antipasto was one of the best salads I've gotten in years. Packed full of deliciousness, just the right balance of meats, lettuce and dressing. There were red peppers and artichokes thrown in as well and to top it off non-pitted olives (my personal preference). If you're looking for a delicious sandwich that will last a few meals - head to Tazza Cafe! A few notes: - apparently they don't have a phone though one is listed on some sites - I found it difficult to find on first pass but it's your first right after a liquor store if you're coming from Wegmans

Simple menu. Fresh ingredients. Winning combination.

Where do I start? This was a great experience from the moment I stepped through the door. The people behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The place was spotless and had the atmosphere of an authentic Italian sandwich shop. It turns out that it really is an excellent authentic Italian sandwich shop. The food was delicious. Absolutely amazing. The roast beef was incredible. The cheeses and aoli fresh and vibrant. And the bread is also fresh and delicious. I will be back soon and often. Next time I will take pictures of the food. Once I unwrapped the sandwich I forgot about pictures and tucked right in. The best by far. Truly a gem stashed away in Northborough.

And he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer ... Fantastico, Bravo, Stupendo, My first time eating at Tazza and it will not be my last. Gave my father in law a half of my second sandwich to Try and this 80 year old Italian man says this is on of the greatest sandwiches he had in his life!

This is the Pavorti sandwich and we highly recommend it!

The atmosphere is so welcoming and warming, really creating a rejuvenating and calming atmosphere with their relaxed and friendly service. All homemade, the dessert menu here is not one to skip! I love everything about my experience dining here and appreciate the work and care that goes into this establishment at all levels. I highly recommend you give it a try, it's really just a lovely place to be and deserves all the appreciation I can possibly give it! I DEFINITELY will be back to try some more of their teas and pastries!

The afternoon tea this time was a little fancier and pricier than the last time we came. Unfortunately, we did have to wait quite a while for our food to come out this time as well (they were understaffed and having some issues in the kitchen). Again, do not come here if you're in a rush. The ambience is like you're at grandma's house. It's cute and there is no music, so if there are loud conversations around, it does get somewhat loud easily. My husband was the only man in the entire restaurant (I think he was last time too!) so it's a very woman-centered space. The teacups and placemats are all adorably mismatched. We got the oolong tea and the earl grey with peach, and both were nice and strong brews. When the food finally came out, it was like going to carb heaven. Everything is made from scratch and I loved every single one of the scones (there were plain, lemon, blackberry, and butterscotch oatmeal) served with jam and clotted cream. The little savories were also delicious and we particularly enjoyed the artichoke croustade. The cucumber dill ones were nice palate cleansers. The sweet offerings were all delicious (and mostly fall themed) and the only one that was too sweet for me was the snickerdoodle cupcake with maple frosting. We had to pack up some leftovers because we were absolutely stuffed. I think this is one of the most authentic afternoon tea places I've been to and I would come back.

The atmosphere is quiet but also bright and enlivening, aiding in productivity without being overly distracting. I love the setup of the cafe with comfy couches and chairs for lounging sprinkled among typical tables and benches for working or having a meal! Also, they have a free chess board for playing with friends over coffee which really speaks to the relaxed communal vibe of the place. Overall, I loved the energy, but I didn't expect to also love the matcha as much as I did. Being that it's not something they're known for and the drink was on the cheaper side compared to other matchas, it was actually incredibly smooth and creamy (just pretty sweet so be prepared). Only other negative I could mention is that service wasn't overly friendly, but otherwise, it wasn't terrible either- it was quick and helpful, so I definitely enjoyed my stop here and look forward to returning to try their other menu items!
