Very creamy cheese, almost mayoey in texture. It took some adjustment on my first try, but I got used to it quickly. Strong flavors overall. Very enjoyable. -- Matto: Tried (on two different visits) on a grilled seeded roll, this packed Prosciutto, Soppressata, Sharp Provolone, and Hot Cherry Peppers. Bold flavors from the coldcuts, sharp cheese, and perfectly toasted bread, all in the right proportions to enjoy every flavor and texture. This was spectacular and will be a repeat sandwich for many visits to come. Excellent sandwiches. Nice people. Easy ordering via Toast (they don't have a website). Limited hours-- weekday lunches only-- and hard to spot, but in the same parking lot as the convenience store. I'm a big fan of sandwiches around, and I'm always on the lookout to add spots into my sandwich roster. In my opinion, after my experience there today, I can confirm that I plan to be back at this establishment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were friendly, and the inside of the place was clean with nostalgic Italian wallpaper of different advertisements that we don't really see anymore.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Best thing about this place is that the sandwiches speak for themselves. Two sandwiches were ordered, one off the standard menu (Tutto) and another off the Fall/Winter menu (La Gabagool). There are red metal high tables with no seating. I went with 10. Polastro ($12 plus tax), which I chose seeded Italian bread and hot pressed. My sandwich was all set in 5 minutes. The Polastro was amazing which had thin slices of roasted chicken, provolone, garden greens, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, Italian aioli on warm crusty Italian sub bread, soft and chewy texture. I finished my big sandwich in the parking lot and I thought about running back in the shop to order another Italian sandwich, which would be the 4. Tutto for next time. Today I got the La Burrow on a seeded roll. Maybe the best sandwich I have gotten here so far! Perfectly balanced flavors, plenty of meat and cheese and the Calabrian Aioli just put this one over the top! I was passing through and didn't remember to call ahead. At 12:00 the owner said it would be about a half hour, but 15 minute later I was on my way. It looks like the majority of orders were called in and there were loads of orders ready to go. Really delicious food. I got the La Bomba and it was wonderful. The toasted focaccia was toasted enough to be crisp but not too hard and the pesto and garlic aioli were tasty. For personal preference, it was a little heavy on the meat but I'm sure a lot of people would love the amount of meat. It is certainly enough for at least two meals. Location: right next to Richdale's convenience store on Rt. 20 in Northborough near Brilla. Same parking lot as Richdale. Hard to see. Gardina: zucchini, roasted red pepper, spicy eggplant, sun dried tomatoes, burrarta, aioli. Tacchino: turkey, bacon (thin, crispy kind), greens, fresh tomato, Calabrian aioli. This sandwich is gigantic, filling, and flavorful. Calabrian peppers are a little smoky and sweet; there's a bit of a kick but not too much. The prices seem reasonable given the quality of ingredients. You can definitely save half a focaccia sandwich for later, or split it with a fellow carnivore. The staff is very friendly. Sandwiches, salads and wraps available. This is also a coffee shop with a full selection of Italian espresso shop coffees. They also have a small selection of premium aged meats and cheese spreads.
