They absolutely don't care. Cold food and horrible service and took over 15 minutes for a BigMac combo. Don't waste your time

She provided recommendations and shared with me the specials offered at the time. I ordered a custom made beverage, hot Toasted Marshmallow & Butter Cookie latte with oat milk; I topped it with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. It was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect sweet treat to warm me up on chilly winter afternoon. The cafe also featured a very cute book cellar that had the neatest items!! You can definitely tuck-away in this cafe to get work done, you can meet with friends for a coffee date, or even just chill and have a cup of coffee, a pastry and indulge in a nice book. If you're in Abingdon, VA, it's absolutely worth checking out!

But the real reason we come back is Hunter. He makes amazing cocktails and is genuinely so much fun to chat with. We honestly come here for him and his drinks. Sitting here right now, Hunter is working solo and just handled a sudden rush of about 30 people rolling in, all with total proficiency and professionalism. No stress, no attitude, just great service and great drinks. If you're looking for good food, creative cocktails, and a bartender who makes the experience memorable, Wolf Hills Coffee is it.

I stayed in Bluefield and he lives in Princeton, but he met me here since it was on my way to Cherokee. This leg of the trip was to drop off some cash for Mr. Bob. A lot of it. No, not that kind of money. Clean money. Anyway... The staff here is super friendly, the atmosphere fits the area, and the place has some charm. It looks like the prices for the sandwiches are very fair, but I got a bagel, and the price for one bagel is too high. However, this is more of a sandwich and coffee shop; it's not a bagel store. I definitely recommend The Grind. I'm not really a morning person so I don't know what Bob was talking about half the time, but that's just me. Definitely recommended!

It is next to the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum, so stopping here after a visit would be super easy. There were plenty of specialty drinks on the menu, and they trended towards the sugary direction. There were plenty of families enjoying the space, and options for kids and adults. My drink ended up being sugary-sweet and I probably would have asked them to dial it down if I had realized. On the plus side, they were able to get drinks out pretty quickly, in spite of there being quite the crowd. The space was clean and modern. Also, the bathroom was clean and very much appreciated on our road trip. I probably wouldn't sit and enjoy my drink here, due to the high traffic (at least when I visited). For a quick stop in, it's nice. I'll be sure to order better next time. Solid spot!

Coffee Shop No. 492 Camp Coffee Roasters…read moreBlowing Rock NC April 9 2025 Camp Coffee Roasters is a little coffee shop in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, a charming little mountain village. The downtown area sits about a mile from the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway (connects the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina to the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia). Camp Coffee Roasters has a cozy vibe and an obvious appreciation for the outdoors. It might have something to do with their neighbors; Footloggers, an outdoor store. Be sure to climb the stairs near the front door of the coffee shop. They lead to a loft, overlooking Footloggers, where you can relax in a wing back chair or get some work done at a table near a window. The barista was friendly and made a respectable cortado. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

This time, however, my mom and I were extremely disappointed. We were served by a young man who seemed to be the owner's son, while the owner and another young man stood behind the counter. He forgot to ask what sizes we wanted, and when I got my Campfire Cold Brew, it came without cream. The menu clearly said: Cold brew, marshmallow, Hershey chocolate, and cream. I thought maybe it wasn't my drink, but the young man confirmed it was. When I asked if it was supposed to have cream, he said no, but that he could add some. I double-checked the menu: "It says it comes with cream." That's when an older woman suddenly appeared, glaring. "There's cream right there," she snapped. I'm guessing she was his mom, given her signature mama bear energy. Sorry, lady! I was just trying to make sure I got what I paid for, especially since two small coffees cost $16. Anyway, if you're looking for an adventure, head to Camp Coffee. You might not see a wild bear in the mountains, but you just might meet one behind the counter
