I'm never a big fan of McDonalds food with two exceptions,; the French fires and the spot on soft drinks.However, I try to judge McDOnalds within its own sphere and for doing what they do. Some are better than others but as the prices have risen to that of Five guys or other so-called gourmet burgers it hard to give them a pass at such terrible burgers that really cost for too much for the quality. This location is going under som renovations, that doesn't really bother me. But the impersonal touch screens that remove you from the staff makes it all feel sterile and cold, instead of inviting. Last, with the renovation the moved the soda fountain behind the counter and you have to waste time standing around trying to get the staff's attention to get a refill and thy control how much ice you get instead of doing it your way. read more

Driving back late after a funeral, stopped to get fries and a Coke. At our request, they made the fries fresh -- which were piping hot and not too salty, i.e., perfect! The service was friendly. And somehow, McD's Coke is just better, too. : ) read more

Nice, clean McDonalds in Mebane. We chose to order inside since the drive thru line was pretty long. We realized later that the drive thru is efficient and moves reasonably quick. Inside there was no line at the counter with a few groups dining inside. Careful when you walk in since the floor is slick. Each of us almost slipped so it wasn't just our shoes. We walked slow, ordered at the counter, and used the clean bathrooms. Our order was accurate and ready in a reasonable amount of time. The coffee was just a little weaker than usual. The breakfast sandwiches were good and typical. In addition to the drive in and counter, they have several ordering kiosks. Overall, good choice if you are craving McDonalds. read more

I would say this place gave me a vibrant feeling with clean surfaces and service with manners,food was amazing and tasty would recommend.

This is a great McDonald's. Food is always delicious, fries always crispy. Great deals in the app. My only criticism is that they recently moved the drink station behind the counter, so you can't get your own drink anymore. Otherwise, it's great and I eat here often. read more

The trollingwood Mebane one sucks. Service was so bad. The food was wrong. We waiting forever on a mobile order pickup just for the food to be cold and wrong. Apparently you have to test your drink in addition to checking your food. Dr. pepper and Diet Coke are VERY different!!! so I paid for a drink that no one in my house hold can choke down. read more

Customer service. On 5/23/2025 after informing the employee at the drive thru window that my order was incorrect. The mgr on duty told the employee he needed to see my receipt. When I refused to show my receipt ( yes I paid with a credit card so I had requested a receipt when I paid) Since my order should have been on there screen they used to fill it by. I did hold it out so the employee could see what was ordered. The manager said if he not giving you the receipt tell him to pull out of my drive thru. By this time I had already handed the order back to the emoyee so it could be corrected. The manager again told me to get out of the drive thru. I then i asked for a refund. The manager became highly agatated started to use curse words and as he handed my refund to the employee he told the employee to tell me "to get the f#€@ out of his drive thru. Recommend not to visit this location. Just to.put this in perspective I worked at a McDonald's franchise as a mgr for 15 years. No matter the situation the customer was treated with respect and as a guest. This manager lost a $23.00 order over a 4 PC chrispy chicken strip meal along with my future business. read more

We stopped en route to Raleigh to get breakfast, stretch our legs and use the restroom. it was 6:02am. the doors were locked but the sign on the door said opens at 6am on Saturday so we waited. an employee finally came to the door and said we are drive thru only. I advised the the sign on the door indicated the dining room was open at 6 am. He looked at the sign and said "Oh" and left to get another employee. We were advised by the second employee it was a drive thru only location. I pointed out the sign to him as well and suggested they change it. He was rude and indifferent. Do better McDonald's. Rude drive thru. Little boy gave me a 3/4 filled smoothie. I asked where the rest of it was and he said that's how it is and slammed the window shut. I waited for his rude self to open back up the window and told him to please fill the rest of it up. He said "OH MY GOD BRUH!" As though I was having him do his job. I went to pick up my girl mobile order, I pulled up to order, the kid wasn't nice at all, i told him the code and then I added 2 apple pies. he told me to pull up to the window, when I get there he asked what I did order. I told him this mobile order and apples pies, he said I only order apple pies. well I said okay do you want the order number again? he said something I can't remember but didn't take the code then looks back at his girl coworker the they both started to grin and laugh at me for no reason with the window closed Instead helping me? i don't know if I did something wrong? or said something. Let me start off by saying that until a few years ago I had worked at McDonalds for 10+ years, so I usually understand the bigger picture when it comes to slow service or issues, as I can see what caused them. My husband & I came in 10 mins before breakfast ended to order some bagels. We were greeted by a very nice young man when we came in, & a bored looking girl took our order. We had to repeat our order because she didn't get it right the first time, & she automatically rang up sodas instead of asking what we wanted to drink (I.e. I wanted coffee with my breakfast but whatever). We then proceed to wait a full 10 mins while our order is skipped as everyone else's breakfast (& now lunch) orders come up. A manager was the one assembling the orders for front counter & never once did he acknowledge us standing there. When our order finally came up the 15 mins after our initial ordering, he just handed it to us with no acknowledgement of our wait or anything. No thank you, have a good day, anything. On the way out the same young man that greeted us when we came in wished us a good day. My suggestion? Put him on front counter & train the manager on a sense of urgency & courtesy. Then then you wouldn't leave the customer wouldn't be left with a humdrum experience. read more

Went to this McDonald's at 11am while it wasn't busy. Ordered a quarter pounder deluxe meal. It. Was. Perfect. Fries were perfectly crisped and melted in my mouth. The burger looked straight out of a commercial. Cheese melted perfectly. It was SO juicy and delicious. As someone who frequents McDonald's more than I'd like to admit, it was the best I've ever had. I'm not sure why, but the whole place smelled like vomit when I walked in. Not sure if it was the water they used when mopping? I had been driving for awhile and stopped to make a bathroom trip and stupidly decided to get a bite to eat here too instead of making another trip to stop somewhere else. There were 2 girls at the counter, one was waiting on someone, the other just standing there with her hand on her hip. I wasn't sure if she was open because she just looked at me, but never greeted me or tried to acknowledge that maybe I could come up to the counter. So I walked up and asked if I could place my order and she nodded her head and seemed like I was bothering her. She never said a word other than asking if my order was for here or to go. I was digging my money out and was not sure if she was ready for me to pay, because she never told me the total. She just was looking around....so I swiped my card then she handed me my receipt. I'm not sure why it's so hard for employees, especially at what seems to be every McDonalds in the country to have manners. I've worked in fast food...you greet your customers and THANK them! Not that hard! It's also annoying the policy that they won't hand you your drink cup anymore until you get the food. The 2 girls behind the counter were standing there literally waiting for people to walk in the door and I had to wait almost 5 minutes to get a cheeseburger & small fry and THEN get my drink! At least let me get my drink while I'm waiting on the food so I'm not wasting time!!!!! The only reason why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because surprisingly the food was good. I have stopped going to this location completely. The drive in is always painfully slow. I have experienced a number of problems including being out of a particular item, only being able to take cash and equipment is broken so we can't prepare it. The final time I went by, after the usual long wait in line, was that the milkshake I ordered could not be made because the machine had just been shut down for the night. Avoid if possible. The worst drive through service, ever. Had to repeat the order three times for the person to understand what I was trying to order (bagel with sausage (not bacon), egg, and cheese). When I pulled through (2 lanes, mind you) they tried to charge me for the wrong person's order, then tried to give me the wrong person's order, and then gave me my order and after I got home, I realized it was wrong. The person had finally got the order rung up correctly, but the people fulfilling the order didn't pay attention at all and still gave me the wrong thing (bacon). I have noticed that most Mcdonalds restaurants have gone way downhill in customer service, and the food is just slapped together. Going through the drive-thru is simply a nightmare if you want what you actually ordered. Do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else if you actually want good service and a correct order! read more

While we do go to McDonalds from time to time, I will never darken the doors of this restaurant. A while back my son went through the drive through. As part of the order I wanted tea, no ice. When he got to the window she recognized him and said let me get a different tea. When he asked why she said she spit in the first one because she didn't like it when people said no ice. When I contacted the manager he didn't believe me and called my son a liar. He had no reason to lie, in fact he didn't want me to call. He was in shock when he came home and I had to pull what happened out of him. He is the type that always gives people the benefit of the doubt and does not make this kind of thing up.
