I definitely regret this visit. I paid $45 for a burger the size of a simple McDonald's hamburger, chicken tenders that looked like frozen tenders, a larger fry and a chicken ranch fry thing. The burger was mid. The bread and meat tasted frozen. The tomato was larger than the patty. I regret not getting a double patty. I finished the burger in 3 bites. The fries were hot and ok. I should have saved $3 and split the regular fry with my daughter. My daughter's friend's ranch chicken fry dish looked ok, but there were more fries than toppings. What set the mood off is that they decided to mop the floors with what smelled like fabuloso right beside us. So there was a strong mop smell radiating. I was confused because someone had cleaned the area before the man brought the mop bucket over. The way they were cleaning the floors and restaurant, you would have thought they were closing for the day. Matter of fact people walking in couldn't decide if they were opening or closing. I even asked if they were closing. No, they just decided to do a major clean while people were dining. The bathrooms have security codes. You have to go get someone to unlock the doors for you. They will not give you a code. Instead of mopping the front of the restaurant, they should have cleaned the bathroom. I don't know that I will ever visit this place again. Walk through to order and see a mess in the dining room. They weren't extremely busy but you should never be so busy that you cannot clean up a mess. Although the aesthetics could have been much better, the burger was good. Fries could use a splash or two of salt. Had to actually salt them ourselves but I guess that is better than over salted fries. Prices, burger was $7.66, fries $3.96, and drink was $2.99. Not crazy prices but not cheap either. My bride mentioned something about it to the gal taking our order and the poor cashier just clammed up and started shaking her head (her boss was standing behind her). The dining area was so cold we chose to eat outdoors where at least the sun was shining, but even the tables outside were a mess, not cleaned up or wiped down after previous patrons. The wait for the food wasn't awful, and the burgers themselves were okay, but the appearance and atmosphere of the entire place (indoors and out), lack of heat on a cold day just left a sour taste to my experience. Tried to order on phone app but never went though so had to order when we arrived at the restaurant. Service was average. I think you need to take into account many restaurants aren't with a full staff just part of our times. After Covid this is very typical. I stopped in for a hot dog​ and chili​ fries which was a bad idea. I waited for my food longer than I ate. My hot dog was poorly made to the point where everything fell apart. Also, they could have a wayyy better setup for the lids like maybe a lid dispenser or something of that sort. The young lady who took our order looked like she didn't want to be there and kept looking at us as if she needed us to tell her our order within 40 seconds of us being there which okay sure, we all can't be smiles and giggles all the time and she has a job to do but it is kinda disheartening to people who are going to try something for the first time from your business. Maybe "can I help you with anything from the menu, need any suggestions, take your time, etc?? Their menu has a good variety but the food was not so great in my opinion. The fried pickles were mushy and maybe they were supposed to be but me personally, I like my fried pickles extra crispy and the cheesesteaks were decent, not the best I've had but not terrible either. The fries come plain which is fine but they aren't any better when you dress them up. Definitely not worth $38 for two people... way overpriced. This place isn't perfect, but it's your best option at the Tanger outlet complex in Mebane. (Anybody wanna spot me some dough to open up a Chipotle franchise or something here?) The only other restaurants are a Subway and a pizza place, so it's nice to come in the Wayback and have the fresh, made-to-order options. I always go for a turkey burger and choose from among the toppings. Usually I get a salad with it, but they don't really have a side salad option--it's full-size and too much food with the burger. So this time I got fries on the side and they were a little bland. The turkey patty was smallish as well, but it had great flavor and seasoning and their topping options offer a good range. The place can get busy and it tends to be kind of a slow-moving line, because everybody has to study the menu to decide on their toppings if they don't go with one of the pre-set options. This can cause some traffic tie-ups getting back and forth to your table to pick up your food or refill a drink, since the cashier line goes straight down the middle of the space. But the staff is unfailingly friendly. There's an outdoor seating area with a playground, for those foolish enough to bring children to a shopping center. It's nice to sit out there in good weather, so long as the kiddies aren't playing too loudly. I should mention it ain't cheap, but given the blandness of the other food options at Tanger, I wasn't too horribly bothered that the value for money isn't spectacular. read more

First time here. Picked up my daughter and she chose the place. Low ratings but I didn't dive into what the issues were. We are continuing to explore anyways as Mebane is new territory. The place was empty but since it's a weekday, figured that was the reason. However there was a group of three people eating. We were greeted upon entry which is good. We placed the order with the cashier and she was somewhat friendly. She seemed young and probably that's why not very customer service oriented/ experience. I asked about something on the menu and her reply wasn't a great one but again, chalk it up to inexperience. The food was good though. We got the kids burger and a veggie burger. Situated in a newly opened tanger mall between Greensboro and Durham, this is only one of the three restaurants located in this mall. I wasn't feeling really hungry and wanted something light for a late lunch after having a heavy breakfast, we came in here only saw burgers and fries on the menu! We were happy to see that they had salad there as well, and the only choice there was, was a caeser salad! So we got two of those, one crispy and one grilled. Our salads came with two fountain drinks came out to be $27 crazy! Mind you that it was only a shallow dish with a few lettuce and a pice of chicken. The salad came with lots of sprinkled cheese and burnt croutons, but it still satisfied our small appetites. My grilled chicken was actually moist and my bf's crispy chicken was crunchy.
