I know this is not a wonderful restaurant by any stretch of the imagination with respect of the name, Restaurant... But, I think the food is exceptionally good for the price; and the guy that works at the counter normally when I go in there - is exceptionally friendly and good at what he does! I go quite often to this restaurant because I think it's good. I always leave cookout feeling great about what I've eaten , and a very good value for the money; and I just enjoy eating there. I've had small issues here in the past, but nothing to stop me from going back. However, my biggest pet peeve is crap service. I get to the window in the 2nd drive thru and there are 3 people at the register....all 3 on their phone. All 3 not paying attention. I was wondering why I kept having to repeat my order to the guy. Good selection of options. We would go back but it's fast food so it has those fast food issues. The fries are probably the worst. I always ask for it to be crispy, multiple times, they'll say okay, multiple times, and it comes out raw and soggy. Every time! Never fails. I love cookout but the people at the drive-through couldn't get an order right if you wrote it on the back of their hand. 8 out of the past 10 times I have been there, they have somehow messed up my burger. I order the same thing every single time, a big double burger tray with everything on the burger except tomatoes or pickles. It's fast food not gourmet so didn't give it 5 stars. Service was quick and cashier was pleasant and helpful. My husband and I both got the tray. I had a double burger with a street taco (nachos) and coleslaw. There coleslaw is really good with not a lot of mayo which is the way I like it. My husband had the double burger with a cajun chicken wrap and a chicken quesadilla. He said all were very good especially the coke float he got as his beverage.. I had iced tea which was brewed tea. Our 2 meals with tax were about $12.55. Good price for good food which was freshly prepared and hot. We have never gad bad service or good at this Cook Out. Also, the place was very clean! read more

This was disgusting. I have never thrown out an entire meal before today. The burger was missing the cheese and toppings I ordered. The dry chunks of brown fat that was left made me realize the beef here is not edible or even shaped like a burger. The "taco" was literally Doritos and beef served in an open doritos bag like literal garbage from a garbage can. My wife says that's a thing. I can't believe anyone would serve that. It's not even one of those weird taco bell experiments. It was supposed to be a chorizo taco. Worst Cookout I've ever been to. The service is slower than I've ever seen, 45 min is to slow anywhere. I waited 35 min just the other day for a milk shake, and there wasn't that many customers for the wait to be so long. I use to love Cookout. I've been to this one twice and not impressed. Due to covid19, it's strictly drive thru. Ordered the bbq plate. After receiving food, parked in the parking lot to eat. They forgot to include a fork. Luckily there was no one at the take out window. Was able to get a fork. The bbq was terrible. It was burnt and scorched. Was not able to eat it. By that time the drive thru line was very crowded. Tried to call manager to tell him bbq was bad but website offers no phone number. Only way to contact them was through website. It said they would respond quickly. That was 7 hours ago & nothing. Probably will never eat here again. Too many other places to eat at in this area. Ive always been a huge fan of Cookout and this one was a long time coming. The food is very consistent I know what to expect. Their hamburgers are all chargrilled and amazing. One of the best kept secrets is their Lexington style barbecue. The meal deal is the best deal in fast food; you can get an entree and two sides. Two sides,like a crispy chicken wrap or a corn dog! This is honestly the worst Cook Out I've ever been to. I feel like everyone in the area were super happy about this opening. I don't usually write reviews for fast food because I don't really expect much but this place is horrible. They have messed up my order several times. They will give me something not even close to what I actually ordered. Last week I went and it was about 10pm. I went through the drive through and it took them about 4-5 minutes to even begin taking my order. Then as I was ordering she completely disappeared. Then I said "are you ready for my sides yet?". Then a completely different woman snapped back at me and replied "we need a minute, please". Well I mean at least she said please but there was so much attitude in that sentence.
