This place is disgusting, very poor service. People just sitting there, not doing anything, just looking at you. Management is a joke as well. Shut down this place as soon as possible. Someone should call corporate on this place!

Triple Cheeseburger with extra onions, added after I kindly ask for no onions.

A true little tea shop, which also sells plenty of ingredients (like rose petals) if you want to make your own blends. Bought a few teas to take home as well, but sadly they were out of the tea I liked the most, I believe it was something like mango turmeric. There is nowhere to sit! But you can order a cup of hot or cold from any of the teas they have. Wish this was closer to me!

Lisa was friendly and offered to assist me, but I was not in for a long shopping day that day. A day or two later, I used some of the tea and was greatly impressed, so much so that I made the trip from my home on the southside to Mequon to get a 4 ounce bag of it. My husband joined me on the trip and picked up some high-quality cinnamon. This will not be our last trip. Hope to see you soon, Lisa! Make sure you have the time to peruse all of their wares and if you have a moment you can sit in a comfy nook to check out The Food Network. If I have the time, I'd definitely check out their spices and get inspired for my evening meal. Next time, I plan on trying the sweet onion sugar as a glaze for my next ham. The hubs was impressed with their salt and pepper selections.

When i walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff seemed super nice, and were diligent about helping all orders ahead of me pretty fast paced. I've been dealing with a lot (hence the appointments mentioned) so finding new food places (and food places that are GOOD) always serves as a pick-me-up. I ordered a tuna melt, muffin, and hibiscus iced tea...that tuna melt was so good I completely forgot about taking a picture of it. But the banana chocolate chip muffin and iced tea were also some of the best morning goodies I've ever had. If it wasn't so much of a hike from where I actually live, I'd probably be an everyday regular here. Definitely delicious and would recommend visiting.

Could there be a better reason to stuff your face full of bread? Friendship Cafe and Bakery hits like home with a mixed staff who are warm, friendly and really are overjoyed to be at work. Some of which are actual graduates of the 12 month employment training program Friendship runs for adults with disabilities to get placed in amazing work environments to support themselves and make (guess what) FRIENDS. The cafe makes coffee drinks, refreshers, teas and other beverages along with every baked good you can dream up. Muffins, cake pops, cookies, cakes, bagels, strudels and delicious loaves of bread. This place also caters any mealtime and touts being able to provide menus that can be: nut free, Kosher, gluten free and dairy free. Customization is key and what they're there for! The distinguished Head Pastry Chef, Tara Forosisky-Benito, puts all her passion into her baked goods and breads. She's worked on this particular sourdough starter perfecting its makeup for a little over 5 years! And to make sure that the kitchen is always performing at the highest quality and speed, she's always 20 steps ahead in terms of prep and early mornings. I got a peek inside the kitchen after I heard all about their nonprofit mission and you could see the creativity popping and the drive to support some of the fellow employees was apparent. Oh, did I mention there's an art studio space, too? As if they aren't doing enough, they host art and little workshops like the popular "Art and Baking" for kiddos in the Fall. This cafe is remote work friendly (free WiFi!), has delicious drinks and baked treats all while supporting an important cause. Will definitely be making a bunch of trips back!

I have not only worked but have been in the food industry for over 15 years. many of times the establishment itself doesn't change, it's the people coming in and out. Depending on the customers mood they can also shift the energy in an establishment. If there is a place that may not have many workers but take in more than what they can handle it can shake up some things. This location seems to be smaller yet takes in a high volume of people. That can't not only be overwhelming for the customer but more frustrating for the staff. Drive, mobile, walk ins, and those who come everyday at the same time expect service to be the same every time, trust I know. It seems this location deals with a lot of entitled people who have an issue with waiting for anything. I would say more staff will equal less complaints about this store.

My husband had the eggs Benedict and was somewhat disappointed because he likes a traditional Benedict with an English muffin and Canadian bacon, which they don't offer. We checked in through the app, which said a 15-25 minute wait. It asked if we wanted to check in via GPS, and I selected yes. After 20 minutes of the app still saying we were number 4, we went inside and were seated immediately: don't know why they have gps check-in enabled if they don't honor it: but I was glad to be seated. The waitress came over quickly and got our drink order. The drinks (juice) came up reasonably quick, and tasted fresh. She took our order, and the food came up remarkably quick. The presentation was excellent. When we were half way through our meal, the waitress dropped off the bill without asking if we needed anything else. My husband noticed the price didn't match the menu. We got the waitresses attention, and my husband told her the price was off. She responded by gas lighting him, and saying the menu pricing matched and was he was wrong. She did say she would grab him a menu anyways. She didn't grab a menu, but came over and said we had the only menu in the restaurant with wrong pricing and she apologized, then stood there looking at us. We asked what was going to be done to resolve the issue. She said she could ask a manager to look at it, which we told her okay. The manager came over and talked to us. He gave us half off one meal but didn't know if the discount code would work. It didn't, so we took our receipt up to the front. They called the same manager over. He did add our discount. The woman at the front apologized, not to us, but to the manager for the inconvenience. My husband asked why she was apologizing to the manager. She was confused. The food and building were wonderful. The attitudes, integrity of the pricing, and the lack of compassion to our feelings being replaced with the attitude we are nothing more than an inconvenience, made this a terrible experience. If they fixed the problem without us having to constantly push the issue, this would have been a 4 or 5 star rating. When we were leaving it looked like they were changing the menus to the ones with the correct pricing.
