Within walking distance from the apartment we were staying at Mercer Island, this instance of the world's largest fast food chain provided me my first meal on the island while waiting for the airbnb to open up, as well as a known entity breakfast for my wife, her mom, and me, the following morning. It was consistent, the mobile app provided some good discounts, and both times, the counter person delivered it to our table as promised. For lunch, got a daily double meal deal ($7), adding extra lettuce and pickles to the double burger for no charge, 4 pc chicken mcnuggets with creamy chili dip (not great), small french fries, and small drink. It's a filling lunch, and I got to get a burger with lettuce and tomato and mayo, which I like. The free wi-fi was connectable and didn't require any PII, though the speed was very variable, sometimes not fast enough to use the app. I ended up staying there for more than 2 hours, using my laptop, and was never bothered. The next morning, my wife, her mom, and I walked over from our apartment to get breakfast. I forgot to take pictures, but ended up ordering enough to fill us up. Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes ($7.99), with good pancakes, scrambled eggs, a biscuit, and a sausage patty. My wife got a medium iced vanilla coffee ($2.69) which she nursed throughout the morning. I got a 2 sausage burrito meal ($9.49), consisting of two skinny egg and sausage filled burrito, hash browns, and a small coffee (which I gave to my mother-in-law). The big breakfast was a far better deal, and the burritos always seem to disappoint. The order was also delivered to our table (when the mobile order is placed, there is a space to put your unique table number on submission), with the coffee already having the requested sugars and creamer. The food was pretty good, just the Chicken Nuggets was a bit dry but still were good overall, and the fries were crispy since I chose unsalted, and the drink was nice and cold but didn't have any ice since there wasn't any ice in the ice machine, and the service was pretty good, the only problem was they almost forgot my drink which I reminded them and they brought it anyways, the ambiance was okay, I would say for a wood McDonald's yeah, it's pretty darn nice. read more

If it isn't and someone intentionally made it look like a location from the late 90's then well, I wouldn't have made that choice but still. Despite its age, it has been well maintained. Here and there I can spot some replacements - a changed out ceiling tile, a replacement fixture. I won't lie as their food is good and always hot. The staff are unamused. I go to this location often but they just lost a customer. Why? Because of the shitty service and attitude of the manager on duty. I had an app deal for a $2 fry and when I tried to use it, it said it had been used in the last 12 minutes (fun fact, it hadn't). The manager himmed and hawed about how there is nothing to be done. First of all, that's a lie. I've had app issues resolved before; they're rare but it can happen. I couldn't even drive to the next closest McDonalds and order within 12 minutes and I hadn't been to that location so it was obviously an issue with their app. Instead of honoring it, she wanted to fight with me over $2, despite me going there at least 5 times a week. I got an attitude, no food, and she lied to my face. I hope that $2 was worth losing $100s of dollars in business a month. flippin these birds at you. I've also reported them to corporate. Absurd. It's always been quick, and one time when I ordered online and they missed my order, the employees were really friendly and fixed the mistake right away. I frequent this McDonalds because I am addicted to fast food. I appreciate they don't have the touch screens other McDs seem to have adopted. However, I would put the "order accuracy" rate at somewhere in the 65%. I am not looking for a custom job. I might add or subtract a single ingredient. This is, nearly half the time, too big an ask. It can also quadruple the time it takes to get my slop. Those dining in will hear the same 3 new-country songs on repeat going on at least a year now. I do not believe a single person working there likes this genre of music. Even for new country, (nu-country?) its a time-smearingly bland trio of female led diddies. If I worked here I would have had a full schizoidal break with reality. I'd be dressed and made up as Maren Morris (I am obviously an obese man) making McDoubles with coin-flip accuracy. The bathroom stinks. Even when it's cleaned (and they do "clean" it) there is an almost tear inducing and permanent sour odor. The flies seem to prosper in it, though. For some reason the original builders put in those urinals that go all the way to the floor and splatter piss all over your crocs. Even an accurate urinator is forced by Bush 1 era industrial design decisions to splatter his crocs in piss. Often the ice machine dispenses water in lieu of frozen water. I thought this might be weather dependent, but it's cool today and I still got the diarrhea version of ice. I expected more from "the Mercer Island lifestyle". With the exception of some order-accuracy information, nothing else here is the fault of the employees. **It is the franchisees responsibility to make sure the building's plumbing functions and that the hardware produces ice.** I have a deep seated suspicion the franchisee is the one making them play the country music. read more

This must be the worst McDonalds in the area. The service is beyond terrible. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it came with no mayo, no condiments of any kind except for 3 pickles. I asked why it did not have mayo and instead of offering me a couple packets of mayo, the young man and the older white women at the pick up window just looked at me and said: "the chicken sandwich does not come with mayo". Horrible customer service. The restaurant has not been remodeled since Ronald Reagan was president. Do not go to this McDonalds location! It is the worst McDonald's in the area. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE walked in, didn't get greeted, the place looks really messy and dirty, waited about 7 minutes til someone even acknowledged me. everyone working seemed to be in a bad mood and not caring at all. there was 1 customer ahead of me and after they put their order in, i just waited and waited until finally a lady got the attention of the teller and made them realize they need to do their job and take my order. it was really bizarre i felt like i was in some twilight zone episode where i don't exist or turned invisible. i hope the food is safe cuz i question the cleanliness of the kitchen. i've never seen such unhappy workers at mcdonald's and i would have thought one on mercer island would be top notch but this one's got more like tacoma vibes . read more

When you need some fine dining I take great pleasure in ordering McDonald's while on Mercer island. It's to bad the don't call the Quarter Pounder w/cheese the ROYAL w/cheese like in France. Love those fries as long as there served hot with some ketchup. But it's the QP w/cheese I grab. Sometimes I dine in with my gold plated knife & fork and sometimes I send my butler to the drive thru for me. McDonalds is always a yummy alternative to steak tar tar. This is easily one of the worst McDonald's I've ever been to in terms of service. I live closest to this location but now choose to drive out of my way to a different location when I need my McDonald's fix. In my last visit here, I went through the drive-thru, though the line was so backed up there was zero driving anywhere. It was more like the stop-thru. I finally got my chance to order, was stopped a little short of the window because of the length of the car in front of me, and the employee leaned out the window and said she'd take my card from me. I stuck my head out and said no, I wanted to use a deal on the app and didn't want to risk dropping my phone over a few inches. Eventually the car in front of me moved forward, I scooted forward, and tried to pull up the QR code on the app to use my deal. It wouldn't work, even after doing as the employee suggested and closing out and reopening the app. She could see that I was trying to do everything possible to get the QR code to work but when I asked if there was any way to apply the deal without the code, the employee said no, the only thing I could do was escalate to the manager if I wanted. Her tone was negative and I chose to not hold up the line over $2 savings, but was sorely disappointed in her attitude. This wasn't the first poor interaction I've had at this McDonald's, but it was definitely the one that pushed me over. I've sat at the ordering system and heard employees speaking between themselves and not paying attention to the waiting customer (me), I've detected a lot of attitude in the employees' tones, etc. I don't know if it's because there's high turnover at this location or what, but luckily for them, there's no other fast food competition on the island so they have the luxury of hiring terrible employees who have poor customer service. read more

So I'm stopping in to try the stroopwaffle item they advertise in a clear glass and has a nice flag on top. What I get is from a McFlurry train wreck survivor rejects list of a lump of Carmel and ice cream. There is Carmel smeared all the way up the handle that I need half a dozen napkins to even grab the spoon. It should be illegal to bait and switch the customer with one item very clearly in the freaking picture shown yet I get a sloppy seconds looking, sticky spoon McFlurry that looking absolutely nothin like what I ordered. I can't believe I am reviewing a Mcdonald's, but yeah this place is THAT bad. 1. If you are ordering more than one sandwich, make sure to check your order before you leave. I don't remember how many times they got my orders wrong. 2. On 10/16/2022, after waiting at the drive-thru for 20 minutes, I was told their system was down so they could not take any order. The staff showed no courtesy. I mean, at the very least, they could sell food for cash, instead of turning customers away. 3. Sometime in 2021, I placed a mobile order and later was told by the manager the store had to close because they didn't have enough stuff. I challenged why she couldn't just give me the Big Mac and fries they already made (I could see the food sitting on the shelf). That's exactly what I ordered. She refused and told me to call customer service for a refund. Again, no courtesy. 4. Their fries and chicken nuggets are often over-fried. YMMV. 5. Always plan for 20min at the drive-thru. I dont think they consider themselves fast food. I believe this location is a franchise and the owner just doesn't give a crap. I really wish they go out of business and let someone more capable take over. read more

The Mercer Island McDonald's is truly by far, LITERALLY the WORST McDonald's on probably the ENTIRE planet. The orders are off every single time I go there!! It blows my mind that a fast food restaurant could be this bad. I don't mind restaurants with a diverse staff, but please, if you are going to work with the public then you should know how to communicate with it. Plus I go to this Ron's a lot because it's really right down the hill from my house. I can run down from my place to their front doors in about 60 seconds and that's no exaggeration and they go through staff like it's nothing. The turn over is crazy! There is one employee that's been there a really long time now and thank goodness because she's the only one that knows her ass from her elbow and she's not even manager yet! Her name is Jane and she's good. Polite and doesn't screw up your orders. She really should be manager by now. Unfortunately, I'll keep going there because like I said it's right down the street from my house and it's the only fast food joint on Mercer Island. So alas i'm stuck going there hopefully someday I'll actually get some confident employees. oh, and one final thing I always go to the drive-through because I drive down there even though I can walk, but I never go in. I know at least I've been pretty sure it was last time I went there. The inside restaurant of the restaurant is always very clean. The most arrogant food establishment I have ever tried to dine at. If you're able to access the dining room, the food is standard McDonalds. The problem here is about 80% of the time they have the dining room closed. They do have a sign they can post on the entry that is visible from the parking lot, but they are so disrespectful to their customers that often that is too much work for them, so they allow you to park, walk to the locked doors, then motion you to go around to the drive thru. With that attitude of management, it's no wonder they are unable to properly staff this location.....just horrible!!! read more

I look on my app and it was cancelled and a short woman with brown hair and slightly bigger build was just staring through the window just smirking. The lady at the drive thru literally wouldn't give me back my credit card after paying, and just kept saying she had given it to me back. No, we looked, we checked the lane even just to see if we dropped it somehow. Not under the chairs. I parked and verbatim said "Hey, we can't find our card anywhere, may you just check again to see if it was there" and she refused to. So, I don't know what to do next. Been here several times, pretty much a typical McDonalds. However the service was poor; which surprised me. McDonalds typically train their personnel well; and strive to get them focus on the customer. These people really didn't give a rip if I stayed or left. They were too busy trying to look busy while visiting with each other. Pretty sad. It was about 11 am, so I suspect there was no "real" manager around. But regardless, these guys need training on what service means. read more

This McDonald's is very clean and the employees were very diligent in keeping up the overall maintenance of things. I ordered the McBites because I have been seeing posters of these things for months and been wanting to try it. I wanted the smallest one, but the cashier gave me regular size and charged me for it. The McBites didn't live up the hype. The package read, "Make a meal out of these crispy bites" but the pieces have so little chicken in them, that it would hard to make a meal out of them. Also, the statement: "you will experience a delicious new way to love chicken" is really pure propaganda. Don't get me wrong. The McBites were tasty and not a bad product. But you just don't get very much for $2.99. The sauce holder on the package was fancy but the novelty wore out after a bit. And since the pieces are so small, you can't get too much sauce on them. So eventually, the sauce would be too heavy for the package to support and cause it to tip over unless you had it in a car cup holder. But eating and driving sounds like a bad idea so I hope that's not what McDonald's envisioned when they designed the package. read more

No salt means no salt -- I'm not asking because I want hot fries, but because I need to limit my salt intake. So please do not give me extremely salted room temperature fries. I asked for a big mac as well, and got a burnt quarter pounder. I didn't know it was possible to go 0-2 on one meal, in an empty restaurant. This is the best McDonalds on the planet. I live on the Island and probably eat fast food 6 or 8 times a year, so I don't get here very often. When I do, I always behave the same thought... the World would be a better place if every restaurant were as clean and efficient as this one. And one more thing... shouldn't McDonalds get some credit for serving $1 soft drinks?
