I'll preference this with the fact that they are building a brand new McDonald's just down the street, so I understand why things look so crappy, but come on... There's no menu at the drive-thru! You have to go to the window and order if you need to see a menu. Ugh. The first cashier appeared to be just going through the motions. Not ride but certainly not happy So i just wanted to get a quick bite for my grandkids. I originally just asked for 2 hamburgers and a fries. But when the cashier said it was almost$10!... I asked how much happy meals were. So for just a little less than 2 dollars more I got the happy meals which gave each kid their own fries , toy and a juice. But still.. almost$12 to feed a 4 &6 year old is crazy. I at least give them credit for serving hot "food". And I do love that they have healthy alternatives. Since I've been in Illinois visiting I've visited 2 McDonald's and I gotta say, I don't get it. Their food is not great and their prices have skyrocketed. Good for an occasional treat for kids, I guess, but I have had my fill of fast food places here. read more

The WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT RESTAURANT. I ordered my food using their app I showed up and there were people standing in the dining area waiting for food. I look back into the food prep area and they were literally opening up every sandwich trying to see what it was and drop in bags 28 minutes after I order my food When my number 1694 was ready I asked if they could check on my food. One of the employees said we don't have your number so I walked him over on them big screen to show him and he said I'm sorry we don't have your food. They didn't offer to make me the food quickly. There was no manager on duty and at that point myself and two others walked out of the door without even getting a refund. I submitted a complaint to McDonald's along with my order number. I seriously doubt I will get any feedback from them. Have you ever seen the Lucille Ball skit or strawberries are being pushed down the line? I do not fault the kids. They were clearly overwhelmed and did not know what to do. However, there was zero management stepping in to control the situation. I would highly recommend against going to this McDonald's until they can straighten things out. I gave one star only because I had to to submit this review. read more

Horrible service and universially slow employees. 1015 AM - The Mrs dropped me @ Kroger and went back because there were 7 cars awaiting to order in drive thru. She went inside thinking it would be faster. I had time to go to the pharmacy, get a few snacks, check out and walk across the parking lot. I walked in and found she still had not been able place an order. We waited another 3 min and finally I asked "Can we order?" (There were 4 other people waiting behind us) - an older woman making coffee drinks piped up "My hands are kinda full here, you'll have to wait". I replied "No thanks, we'll go elsewhere" and we walked out" - she had been inside well over 10 min waiting when I arrived and still had not had her order taken yet. Don't demand raises and talk about being underpaid when you can't manage the staff you have or perform your duties. We went up the road to Hardeez where they were pleasant and happy to take our order, and our money and give us hot food. read more

Worst mcdonalds around. Lazy, rude, irresponsible, woman "manager" as she calls herself doesnt deserve a job. When you call to make a complaint she hangs up on you after nonstop disrespecting you over cold, some hard fries or seemed quite old, after claiming she had a 30 min long line. Lol i wonder why the fries were bad/cold. Use to go up there every couple days even after nonstop being served bad/wrong orders. I dont know if their just lazy or down right stupid. Maybe thats why they leave McDonald's to the non having a school degree type people, maybe they should start making people that work at fast foods get some type of school degree also. haha its bad you have to go to carbondale to buy food. murphysboro mcdonalds deserves to be shut down again yet not another built and brought back open. This place sucks! Sucks sucks sucks! They can't do anything right! My order is always wrong or cold also the place is filthy. It smells like poop as soon as you walk through the front door. You can tell the employees NEVER clean anything. They keep their reaking disgusting trash cans right by the drive through order area so that's all you smell while figuring out what you want to eat. I ordered 2 meals in drive thru on the 30th. While waiting at the pay window, there seemed to be a problem, but the cashier didn't open her window to let me know. After waiting well over 5 minutes at the window, she handed me my debit card and said "I don't know why it shut down on me", then slammed her window shut. Today I see the transaction was sent through twice, so I called to let a manager know. She stated I needed to come in and she would help. When I arrived at the restaurant, I showed her my receipt along with the electronic copy of the dounble charge. She said no problem, and proceeded to do a cash refund. As she's showing me the amount of the refund, it's less than what I was charged. I showed her the receipt again, insisting I be refunded the entire amount as I was double charged. She finally agreed, as if I was causing an issue over a few cents, when the restaurant itself already double charged me for the two meals. A lack of customer service has been an ongoing issue at this store and is definitely the reason for choosing other options for fast food on the future. Get it together, folks. Trying to refund less than what was charged for YOUR mistake?!? So done. read more

This place is awful. Drove thru is slower than slow. They have two speeds, slow and stop. Waited 20 minutes in drive thru for a smoothie and a Diet Coke. Mind blowing how bad this place is.
