We obtained our drink cups and the large, typical drink station was nicely stocked with a nice array of soft drinks to choose from. The odd thing to me is that whenever I've eaten at any other location in the past, I think the longest I've ever waited for my meal has been maybe 9 minutes, tops. No matter the time of day or night. We waited 23 minutes for our meals. It seemed that drive-thru is priority, then to-go, then dine-in. The animal style fries were pretty good, though I'm used to it being slathered with more sauce. Thankfully, I was able to get a few sauce packets and gleefully doused to my delight. However, the bun of my burger was so over toasted! The buns were actually hard and crunchy. I'm not used to that. The burger tasted like before but it was dry and overcooked as well. The lettuce, onions, tomatoes and cheese were very fresh and flavorful. My husband had the same experience with his burger as I did. Tables were not wiped down and the condiment station was out of almost everything when we got there. They didn't refill all the cups, chilis, etc. until right before we left. The fries were crispy and delicious with a light dusting of salt. The burgers were so juicy that the juice pooled at the bottom of the wrapping, though never dripping through. Every ingredient and topping seemed to be freshly picked from a garden; the tomatoes were plump and juicy, crispy lettuce, pickles and onions...just a bite of perfection from start to finish. When she returned, she told me that there were no pickup orders. I showed her the email with my order number and told her that I never received a confirmation from them. She went back into the kitchen, then came back and said they didn't have my order, but could make it while I waited - about 10 minutes. I reluctantly agreed and waited. When I got my order, I asked for a few extra cups of sauce. The server was put off, as if asked to perform an overwhelming task. Needless to say, I left the establishment with a less-than-favorable taste in my mouth. 24 hours later, I received a text from them that my order was confirmed and would be ready to be picked up. I texted back that this was 24 hours late and to cancel the order. The reply was that their texting service was unavailable, and to call for questions. I then replied to the confirmation email, hoping that would get through to them. No such luck. The reply I received said that delivery had failed - that their email box was full. I will say that the food was good, and that the server was mainly friendly. However, the whole online ordering system needs some serious revamping. To the point that the hallway to the bathroom was wet as someone was mopping and there was no wet floor sign displayed and we could not access the bathrooms without walking through a very wet floor. This prior visit we ate on the roof and didn't have to eat around cleaning activities. Tonight we arrived at 7:40pm thinking an hour and 20 minutes before closing would be plenty of time to not interfere with closing duties. Immediately upon walking up to the counter, the cashier started taking down many of the fry options on the menu. Once again they were out of the specialty fry options BFC is supposed to be known for. All four of us made our order decisions and began discussing amongst ourselves where we should sit. My mother-in-law motioned toward the middle of the dining room which was completely open. The cashier quickly corrected our decision and asked that we sit in the corner under the stairs near the 12th avenue door so she could begin cleaning the middle of the dining room. This was a bit off putting as we were one hour and 15 minutes away from closing time at this point and we weren't allowed to make a seat selection in a wide open dining room. My parents in law had just arrived from out of state to visit us and we were trying to take them to a unique to Idaho dining experience. We felt like a burden at this point and again it was clear the only concern from the restaurant was closing down the restaurant. To cap off our experience, the entire time we were eating, this same cashier was rigorously cleaning the dining room around us first dry sweeping, then wet mopping and moving the tables and chairs around. I understand that closing business duties have to be performed, but seriously tearing up the dining room an hour before closing and dry sweeping around patrons trying to eat food? Every business has one off experiences that are not up to par for some guests. But when it seems to be a pattern, something should be done to change perception from the the customer. As for the food...the fry oil being used needed changed and overall this location has slipped significantly in its quality both in service and with the food that once made BFC a must do.
