Yelp suggests a review might be based on food, service, ambience. To wit: Food: FAIR - but not outstanding. Sandwich was warm. Fries were lukewarm. Drink was cold. Service: OK - especially considering that they appeared to be severely under- staffed. Cars pulling up to order then being directed to move ahead and wait in either the spaces available for delayed orders or also today - just in front of the pick up window. Slow. Slow. Slow. Ambience: I cannot speak for the ambience inside, but I can attest to the chaos outside and herein lies the problem with this McDonald's. LOCATION is slam-bang on the corner of a highly busy intersection, several lanes wide in each direction. Access into and out of the parking lot consists of narrow lanes, barely wide enough for one car and also bounded by large concrete barriers. There are arrows indicating where to drive for delivery and pick up app-based orders, etc. But these arrows do little to help in terms of traffic flow. It is often said that location is everything. In this case, location is the biggest drawback of this McD's -- next to the lack of staff to fill orders. I feel very sorry for the harried staff, who extended as many courtesies as they could to their customers - myself included. This was my second visit to this location. The first occurred during the height of the pandemic when they were "drive-through" only. I was unable to get service at that time and decided not to write a review. I have had a terrible past week. I had major dental surgery a week ago, I had to move from a two bedroom two bath apartment into a one bedroom one bath apartment three days ago (love the new apartment but still in shock at how many cartons I still have left to unpack and figure out what to do with all the junk I brought with me ), the nail tech cut my foot during my pedicure yesterday, and I'm getting a cold. I decided to go to this McDonald's drive up window to pick up an Egg McMuffin this morning. The two ladies I dealt with at each window were so friendly and helpful, it just changed my whole attitude for the day! I don't think many people understand how a little kindness and a good attitude can go very far in someone else's life. They were just so nice, and my Egg McMuffin was cooked perfectly! This McDonald's sits at the corner of Highway 70 and Old Hickory and is your standard location for the most part. Currently they are offering only drive thru, so all my recent visits have been via this variety of service. I usually swing by this McDonald's on the way into the office to scoop up a few burritos...and maybe a sweet tea on occasion. And honestly, I have never had a terrible experience with service or product. Service is usually as expected for the most part, but actually a little friendlier some visits. I can't stand a loosely wrapped burrito and this location is good with making sure the burritos are wrapped tightly so nothing falls out...making them the perfect on road snack :) Wait times can range. I have sat in the drive thru for mere minutes or up to 10 minutes. Nothing insane. Overall, standard McDonald's location that I surely will swing back thru without hesitation! read more

The Land, Sea and Air specialty sandwich is nothing more than a chicken sandwich, filet 'o fish and a Big Mac that you assemble yourself. When they state you build it yourself, it's literal . It's a very confusing flavor and I don't believe anyone expects to tear down a bunch of each sandwich to come up with their gimmick of a new sandwich. Slowest "fast food" EVER! Regardless of time of day. It's crazy how slow they are. Do a better job of making sure your drive thru operators alternate between lanes so I don't get passed up by three people who were in line after me. This location sucks. read more

This location is pretty hit or miss for me, but today's experience was positive. The drive thru attendant Maira (spelling?) always has a positive attitude and is pleasant to talk to. I never expected a drive thru to make my day but somehow it did. The attendants at the other window (whose names I sadly can't remember) skillfully dealt with an incredibly rude customer which honestly takes the patience of Mother Teresa and all the saints combined. Props to them. Oh, and the food was good too. I guess that's important to note. I would have taken a picture but it was too yummy for me to remember to take a picture before I ate it. read more

Why does this place even have an inside for customers? It should just be drive-thru. If you do make the mistake of going inside, be prepared to not be waited on. Be prepared to have the employees turn and look your way but turn quickly back around. Be prepared to have the employees not ask you if you need help. Be prepared to have the employees not answer your questions or even speak to you. Be prepared to see employees on their cell phones and still not come to the counter. This is the second time this month McDonalds has missed items in my order. Drink machine in the dining room is always busted or dispensing flat soda. The only great quality of this establishment are the sweet older ladies who operate the drive thru. Other than that just keep going down highway 70 to Hardee's or Wendy's and skip the headache. read more

Very trashy service, cashier lady has no sense of what costumer service is...she was very hostile when we ordered and was to the point of yelling at us. She got our ordered wrong and was upset when we asked her to repeat it. It's a good thing we had her repeat it back because she got it WRONG! girl in the front refused to give us a large cup because they didn't have enough but it was clearly sitting behind the counter. She ringed us up with a medium size cup instead of large cups and got frustrated when we asked her to repeat the order. After we got our food and sat down, she let other people get large cups. Not to mention the long excessive wait. There was a total of 6 people inside at the time. Very slow service. The restaurant is remodeled and kept clean. Multiple staff members standing outside the door smoking and joking. Inside manager running register, one person at drive thru, one person cooking. One employee eating at a table. Long line inside and out. Took the first bite of my egg m cmuffin...shock, raw egg streaming down my face dripping off the wrapper and my hands. I have never experienced that in years of eating their breakfast sandwiches. Not just a little undercooked...but barely holding a shape n one bite let all the raw yellow and egg white escape. Another reviewer commented that they only accept cash after a certain time which is accurate and whomever the franchise owner is should correct that issue immediately...but it has been terrible every time I've been there so I doubt that will change. MCD Corp should acquire the franchise back, fix it and then sell it to an owner who can actually run a fast food restaurant. Legitimately. Ok, I give this 3 stars as a McDonald's compared to other McDonald's. I eat at McDonald's once in a blue moon - every few months or so - and I always end up feeling guilty about it. I tend to avoid meat, so when I do go I get something like the Egg McMuffin with no Canadian Bacon. The last time I got coffee I was surprised - it was better than I remembered. Still not very good, but quaffable in a pinch. This particular location has some pros and cons - they have extremely slow service and more often than not mess up my order. The people are friendly though, and it is clean inside - it's a nicer McDonald's than others I've been too. read more
