I was the first customer in line this morning at 4:30am and was told right away on the speaker to wait as they had just opened. I told the man that was working that was perfectly fine. When greeted at the second window for payment, the man working had very short responses, could barely make eye contact and did not greet me very kindly. He took my card for payment and gave it back and proceeded to ask me to pull ahead as "I have to turn on the fryers because I literally just opened", which he already made me aware of over the speaker. I pulled ahead and felt bothered by his tone and responses. When he walked my food to the railing I was told to sit at, he quickly gave me my breakfast in the bag without even looking at me and was quick to walk to the door. I then had to tell him that he did not give me my drink and he said "okay" and walked inside to retrieve my drink. When he returned he gave me my drink, again with no conversation, no apology, no eye contact and walked inside the building. I felt like I was such an inconvenience for being a paying customer. I was patient and understanding at first and I had absolutely no attitude towards this man to deserve the treatment I was given. read more

I dont usually bother to go through thr troubles of writing a review, but this instance it is warranted. An individual, locally, posted a picture of their box of nuggets that included a staff members chewed up gum. The GM was very quick to retort, but not in a way I'd deem acceptable or professional. He proceeded to lash out at the disgruntled guest while ranting about how hard he works and how negative reviews are a slap in the face of his efforts. There was no apology, no offer of correction; just some flex about his self perceived work ethic. As a GM of another local establishment I was appalled and embarrassed for our industry. This young man clearly holds himself in such a high regard that neither he nor his staff are to be accountable for any lack lister experience. While this was not my own experience, it was posted in a community group page for all to see. I rarely have issue at that particular location and the staff is usually great, but your toxic manager may just leave a bad taste in my mouth that rivals that of the cold stale fries I often receive. read more

They always be getting shit wrong... the food is good and fast. The employees are nice and seem like just a bunch of high teenagers who really don't give a shit, which I personally like. But every time I have came into the place this past month; there is always a group of children that are screaming... they be running of the couches and shit... I went in yesterday afternoon to use my coupon for free fries and the manager was extremely rude about it because I had a few other people with me with the same coupon form the app. "Only one per person" that's what he said we said yeah we know. The manager appeared to be Mexican and obviously didn't care about his customers. I told him through the window that he was a bad manager and then we pulled to the next window to get the rest of our food and then he ran out to that window, we pulled off and went to a pick up area to get our other fries. I'm surprised he didn't come out there and start yelling. That was the face he was making told me everything I needed to know. Very bad customer service. *the cashier didn't even know how to put in our order and we had already been told to pull up and everything still wasn't ready. read more

As usual McDonald's in many areas have gone done considerably when it comes to food and service. I don't know why I thought it would be different in a smaller town. But I ran into the same issues that I normally run into when it comes to McDonald's. Both drive-through lines were compacted with customers. It moves fairly well. I ordered a caramel frappe with no whip cream and they gave me a frappe with whip cream anyway, that is if you want to call it a frappe considering that it was watery like chocolate milk. Then I ordered a medium french fry. Is it too much to ask for my Fries to be hot? I guess it is because I only sat at the window for a few minutes to receive my order and my fries were ice cold. I just really don't know what to think of McDonald's anymore, maybe I just didn't think of it at all. read more

Went to to drive thru after parent teacher conferences. Had ordered everything for everyone and then I ordered a 2 for $5 McRib. The girl says, "we don't sell those anymore". I'm looking at the poster right by the menu. I tell her," the sign says you do." She's says I'm wrong and asked if I wanted to talk to her boss. I said "yes". They have never got my order correct. I have no idea why this place always has a line flowing out into Main Street. The only possible way would be because they are so slow. Worst McDonalds in 50 miles. It truly is a shame that Newton has never enjoyed a decent McDonalds. read more

I have had cold fries before but this time my Quarter Pounder Cheese burger was COLD! Just how long to the burgers set in the warming tray? They may want to see if it is even working because as I have said my burger was cold....not even warm. I am really disappointed. read more

For a fast food restaurant where speed and convenience are priorities and employees get less than they deserve wage wise, this McDonalds does an amazing job. I've been here various times over my my 9 years in the area and yes they do sometimes get things wrong, but generally they are willing to correct a mistake if you are polite. Compared to other McDonalds, this one is more consistent in their offerings and in general seems more competent. It's not a sit down restaurant and its role is evolving in people's lives - mobile app orders can be iffy sometimes, but they tend to handle them as well if not better than other McDonalds in the area. read more

My mother who is in a nursing home requested McDonald's Quarter Pounder with cheese from McDonald's in Newton I went and picked it up for her and when I got it to her it was totally inedible when I took it back the manager looked at it said it looks disgusting then looked me right in the eye and said there was nothing she could do I told her I would never be back to any McDonald's and she just Shrugged her shoulders she could have cared less she told me that's just the way life is sometimes read more

Never have I been to a McD's that consistently gets to-go orders incorrect like this place...out of six visits, five were incorrect to the betterment of the house,. Seems like this may be status quo for this business as they can give less product, make more money and hope no one complains. I thought franchises were checked by corporate for gross negligence. Three times ordered double quarter pounder with cheese and three times got singles...two were in single box, last was in a double container AND without cheese. What part of DOUBLE Quarter Pounder with Cheese is confusing? Breakfast was no different...paid for more, got less. Needless to say, I do not go there anymore. I see the poor reviews, but it was the only thing as an option at 5am. Staff was super nice, bathrooms were spotless (for a fast food restaurant). But to top it all off, upon receiving my food the sandwich looked promo picture worthy, perfect experience all around! read more

I have gone during the first shift and third shift and I will have to say that third shift has done more than anything to make sure things are handled right. They never messed up an order unless it's from the one's that I was personally close enough to hear what was going on. Some try to get free food by saying it's made wrong and eat part of it before realizing you have to return the wrong thing back. That's something they have in restaurants and it's not something you normally would try to do keep the old wrong order to get the new order to have more food. It just doesn't work that way and there are customers late at night that will go through drive-thru and harass the staff and demean them. I'm sorry that isn't something one can deal with trying to get all the orders right but customers don't have the right to be mean and vulgar if you want to be that way towards McDonald's take it up with corporate and leave the poor workers out of it seriously I haven't had a bad order if you want bad go to Orlando Florida now they charge you more near Disney and Universal like you need to be rich to go there. No one there on 3rd shift has been mean unless they were mean to first and it's hard to not be trained to deal with ignorant customers that just want to yell to get some free food as compensation. Though I haven't had anything wrong up there when I go there to get away from the things I can get away from since they are all helpful and will talk with you and won't yell if you are nice and respectful towards them it's common courtesy. No complaints from me. Besides if they do get your order wrong ask politely and they will help you out I know third shift will not sure about first or second shifts since from the times I go there only one is running around with the managers while the others are busy talking about a text they just got.. smh read more
