On a busy Friday night we had a group of 15. I had called ahead of time as they don't take reservations to provide a "heads up". We were greeted with open arms despite the fact that we had such a big group. I had never been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant before, and honestly my expectations were not very high. We waited for about 10 minutes for our tables but that was no problem because the store and decor were so fun and interesting! We were given two tables side by side and two servers. They took our drink orders immediately and were great about refills. We ordered quickly, but our food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. We. were. starving. Thankfully the food finally arrived and it was DELICIOUS! All of it-every single thing. Special shout-out to the hash brown casserole, the apples, and biscuits. We come here almost every Sunday.... We use to get some random girl or some random guy as our server & it was always horrible. They would always forget about us & only bring out half our food.... (& they still work here.. I see them when we still come. How?) We not only LOVE the food, but AMANDA MILLS is the best server we have ever had. The last 5 visits have been concerning. I grew up going to this location and you would know the staff by name and they would consistently keep good help. The last 3 years I've noticed a huge decline and no one stays anymore. This one server we had twice but she was terrible and we have tried to explain things to management and they brushed it off. Also the app sucks and we couldn't get the app to work to redeem a free desert. Well after being embarrassed trying to get it to work we were about to give up and just pay, one of the associates finally just said to take it off for us. I went there on Friday, the 30th, it was super busy. When we got seated, it wasn't very long before our server came and asked what we wanted to drink, and what we would like to order. After ordering, it took over 30 minutes to receive our food. We ordered a plate of pancakes and the double sampler. When we got our food, the eggs that came with the pancakes were already cold, the pancakes were somehow under done but also burnt at the same time. My meatloaf was not very hot at all, and they had forgotten my fried chicken. It took another 20 minutes after getting our food to get my fried chicken. After all of that, we waited another 15 minutes to see our waiter again so I could get a to-go box, before ultimately, we just left it there as she didn't show up again. I've been to several Cracker Barrel's across the country and this location specifically is one of the best I've been to. My only complaint here is that the blue haired waitress is pretty rude. Terrible experience. My wife ordered grilled catfish as a healthier option. It came out on an oil slick - they must have intentionally added oil after plating because it's not possible for it to get greasy if it was on the grill. We complained to the waitress and she said sorry about that. Later the manager came over and we complained again. He said they had a new cook and he would check to see if he was following the instructions. He also promised it would be better next time but did not comp the meal. Well guess what. There will be no next time for us. As we were leaving we overheard a customer say "this food is terrible" in a very loud voice, so we were not the only ones. Also it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive at lunch so had no time before I needed to get back to work. So disappointing. read more

Let me tell you why I love stopping at Cracker Barrel! There's a familiarity like an old friend. Selena was our sever and was quick to take our drink orders as soon as we sat down. The food came in a reasonable amount of time for it being dinner time. When the kitchen forgot to put the diced tomatoes and green onions on the Biscuit Benny Benedict, and a spoon for my grits, Selena was quick to remedy it. I love the sense of teamwork here, too. Our server was busy, and Dan came to check on us and refilled my coffee, got a travel cup, and got us our ticket so we could get back on the road. (Still had a couple hours to drive and wanted to get going). He was so kind and helpful. On our way out Kayla smiled so sweetly and wished us a good night and thanked us for coming. As a family, we have always enjoyed the experience that Cracker Barrel provides. The staff is always friendly. The atmosphere is always positive. The space, has typically always been VERY clean. However, the last few visits we have noticed that the bathrooms are no longer kept up with. Last night, the smell of rotten eggs radiated throughout the entire building. I asked what the smell was, and a staff member said "the bathrooms." That was enough to say, "we don't need to dine here tonight." So the first part of my review, and the 3 star score, is based off of 2 things: 1. The last 3 of our visits where service was very slow, they noted being short staffed, bathrooms were disgusting, and smell was unbearably unpleasant. 2. The multitude of visits prior - which I will say again, have always been wonderful. Again, in the past we have always had prompt, courteous, and clean service. Other considerations: I would give Cracker Barrel 5 stars for: 1. The gift shop has always been very well maintained. We love making purchases for ourselves as well as others from the gift shop. The collections and variety of items are very diverse and unique. 2. CATERING!! We absolutely love to order the family meals or catering meals. I wish that I had a picture to share, to show the genius packaging that our large gathering meals are provided in. The box is HUGE. But it's very sturdy cardboard with a handle and travels amazingly well. It's awesome because you can easily feed 6-100 people with their catering/family meals to-go options. Also, you get literally everything you need as far as plates, napkins, sauces, utensils and EVEN SERVING WARE (spoons/tongs) for the bigger (catering) meals. 3. Idk what you call this part of the "catering" services because it wasn't "full on catering" but last Christmas Eve, I decided it was a better value to order the family sized side dishes from cracker barrel rather than make and take my own to our family Christmas gathering that evening, and I was correct! Less stress, super amazing side dish, so much easier than stressing around the kitchen. So even if you don't need a meal completely catered, you should consider ordering the family sized side dishes and make your holiday(s)/parties/celebrations/family feasts wayyy less stressful. 4. By less stressful, I should also explain that they have curbside pick up for these orders, so the staff will bring everything out to your car! You don't have to fight the crowd to pickup your food. Simply select a time for your pick up when you order in the app. Show up at your reserved time. Park in a curbside parking space. Let the Cracker Barrel staff know that you have arrived, and within a few minutes your order is delivered right to your vehicle! But, again, the (generous) 3 stars is based off of what most people will likely experience, with dining in, at Cracker Barrel in Park City, KS based off of several of our recent visits. Our immediate and extended family of 16 enjoyed Cracker Barrel's in Park City take out feast for our Christmas celebration. We chose the Spiral-cut Ham Feast and the Prime Rib Family Dinner. These options included everything from mashed potatoes/gravy, mac & cheese, green beans, stuffing, au ju, hot rolls w/butter, and pie-pecan and apple streusel. We added broccoli/cheese casserole and a chocolate pecan pie. Pickup was easy; drove up to the back and our order was packaged in heatable containers all assembled into special constructed boxes to assure transport coolness and delivered/loaded into our car. Also, our attendant doubled checked our order with us to make sure all our order was present and complete. Take the hassle out of your holiday but letting Cracker Barrel do the prep. Our family raved about the good foodInstead of slaving away in the kitchen preparing the food, we were able to delight in being together. read more

Courteous, efficient, and friendly staff improve the dining experience. When you add delicious food at reasonable prices, it's a winning combination. Then they brought our food out in small chunks- they said they couldn't ring all the food in at a time or it will overload the system. It was about 10 minutes before the next chunk of food came out. The sausage was terrible. We didn't have any napkins and after the food started coming out we only saw our servers twice. The food wasn't correct when it came out. First off, we had no issues with our server. There was a fly literally baked in one of our biscuits. The manager on duty offered a free desert. Who has an appetite for more food after finding something like that? I voiced my issue to our server, so they removed the tainted meal from our ticket. When I went to pay at the register, I felt rushed like I was an inconvenience to the worker when there was no other customers in line. I noticed her name tag said she was the retail manager, so I immediately knew I was more than likely being treated rudely because of our issue with the food. Then she abruptly told me she had no change for a big bill i had so i could leave a tip. I sent my husband across the street to Quiktrip to get change so I could give our waitress a tip. I always enjoy going to a Cracker Barrel to look at all the unique stuff in the Gift Shop area. The food is usually pretty good. Several choices to pick from. On our visit just the other day, I noticed the silverware wasn't clean. I asked our waiter for some clean silverware and he brought back another basket of silverware and said the original silverware was clean it just hadn't been polished. Um I know the difference between spots from washing and spots from un-clean silverware. I honestly wiped the silverware off with a napkin and yes the washing spots came off but the crusty spots I had to scrape off. Personally I don't need polished silverware, just prefer clean silverware! Am I being a bit picky, maybe so but shouldn't a Restaurant take pride in the cleanliness of their silverware? read more

My personal fav has always been their loaded tots, recently they've added Shepard's Pie to the menu and my taste buds were in heaven. The server seemed to need more experience and manners but the food was prepared perfectly. I'd rather tip the kitchen staff! I will always eat there because of them. Was passing through Wichita on our way to to Colorado Springs. The wait was 30-40min but it was a busy Saturday lunch time. Cracker Barrel is usually on the bland side but breakfast all day and you know what your gonna get at any location. My wife and daughter love to shop in the store area. You can sit out front on the porch in a rocking chair. The staff working at this location deserve a shoutout they were all very very nice people. They greeted us, waited on us and just were genuinely nice. A huge surprise this day and age I suppose. The food was great and we ate like kings. The gravy that came with the Saturday special breaded fried pork chops was great and so much better than the breakfast gravy we used that instead and I question why that's not the gravy they serve on everything. Maybe a higher up will read this ?! The breakfast gravy needs reworked it's sad and dull for a sausage gravy. Everything was exceptional. My steak was cooked perfectly. Thank you again to the staff! We've come here quite a few times over the years. We have always received good service and the food has usually been very good. Tonight however, the service was still good but the food was poor at best. The chicken fried steak was obviously from frozen and not hand breaded and my wife's grilled chicken tenders were lukewarm at best. My mother's popcorn corn shrimp and hush puppies were horribly overcooked and cold. My son had fried chicken breast which was actually hand breaded and hot. It also seemed to take way too long for our order to come which leads me to believe it set on the warmer for quite sometime. They cleverly put those chairs out on the porch to park your butt in while you wait. It makes me WANT one. Way to go! Good sneaky sales there, lol! We walked in knowing there is typically a rush. We come here often. We were quickly seated at 12:00pm. That was the only quick part of our visit. We sat for 12 min before my coworker walked up to the manager who was standing there visiting with a table and had made eye contact with us, to ask when we would be waited on. Then another 5 min went by before our server came up to us. She took our order. About 5ish min later we got our coffee. By 12:47 we asked when our food was coming out. Our server let us know that we were 3rd in line. We asked for the tab and left by 12:51. We come here a lot and typically have no issues. We're waited on quickly and efficiently. Other tables in other sections who were seated after us were receiving their food. Today was horrible. The attitude's were outrageous, there was a huge lack of urgency, no one was smiling. Having worked in the food industry for 7+ years I get it, when the rush comes in all we wanna do is get food in and out. This was plain bad service. I had called right when all the Covid stuff was allowing places to be opening back up. The person was rude and seemed uninterested in speaking to me. She also informed me they were very busy and instead of calling I could have looked online instead of asking stupid questions. I didn't go in to eat that night. Decided the previous person was just a prickly cactus and tried to support the business. I placed an online order and picked up food about a month ago. I was disappointed with the wait time, lack of service and quality of food. Today. I had food delivered via door dash and it sucked. After 2 bites it was into the trash can. The door dash girl was great but my food was awful. The location out west was terrible so this was my go to location for Cracker Barrel. I don't know what has changed with this park city location in the last few months but it has really gone down hill. read more
