As you walk in, the dining area looks very friendly and fun. They have some toy machines where you put quarters in but they did not work. My mom really enjoyed the food here. The sauce you can dip the tacos in was definitely a highlight. Overall I was disappointed with the ground beef meat. I thought it lacked flavor and was very mushy. The shell was normal, I think they add a lot of toppings to try and counter their meat flavor. The people who took our order were friendly and quick. The drinks were very good, cold, and refreshing. Overall it doesn't seem authentic at all but I don't think it claims to be either. It's much more of a fast food, american version of a real taco place. Which can have its pros and cons. read more

Always quick service & never disappointed. My goto over Taco Bell anyday & twice on Sundays!

Well usually the service is decent but they are not that cheap & depending on what you get the shells break in half

we ordered two taco burgers at the drive through. We were the fifth car in line. After 10 minutes we hadn't even moved. it was averaging 10 minutes per car. We left after 25 minutes waiting in line. we were still the third car from the window. read more

The absolute slowest service at a Taco Tico. Had to wait 30 mins for order, and by no means were they busy. By far the worst Taco Tico.

It's not really Mexican, it's good fast-food Tex-Mex; like Taco Bell was before Pepsico ruined it. For those of us who grew up eating Taco Tico in the 70s & 80s, traveling here to one of the few remaining Ticos still standing is a required regular pilgrimage. *No one* makes a taco-burger or sancho like Taco Tico. My only complaint is that they should bring back the individual sauce packets instead of making it right into your order. I'd rather control how much and when, when it comes to salsa. Keep making memories, Tico. We'll keep coming. :-) read more

Do you like cat food? Then this place might be where you want to eat your next meal. All the locals here rave about how delicious this place is, but in stark reality, this place has some of the most worst "Mexican" food ever. Their prices seem slightly too high for what you get. I have ordered a few things here and their burritos are equivalent to the ones you buy from the convenient store. You know, the frozen ones you throw in the microwave. The meat looked like it came from a can of cat food. It looked like it had been sitting in the stainless steal container for hours. The hot sauces they provide are not even what I would call hot sauce. It's got a strange taste to it. The little condiment cups they provide are ridiculously tiny. I had to fill up 7-8 of them to even be enough to accompany my meal. The only positive I can give this place is: 1. It's clean 2. It's quiet 3. Free Wi-fi 4. TV It's sad that Taco Bell is 100x better in quality, than this place can do for food. Go else where for Mexican. read more

Customer service was subpar. I had ordered multiple meals which came with multiple drinks. Asked for a drink carrier and was told I did not have enough drinks to get one because it effects food cost; which I would understand if I just had one drink, but I had multiple. Offered to pay for a drink carrier, the cashier proceeded to argue instead of working with me to find a solution. I wasn't talking down or being rude to her, I just simply needed a drink carrier. If something so small can cause someone to be so rude, maybe they shouldn't work in customer service. It's not for everybody. This place was closed once before and I would hate to see it get closed down again because one person is driving away business. read more

This Taco Tico is now under new management and we've not had a Taco Tico here for about 5 years before they re-opened. Granted, this is not Carlos O'Kelly's, or Chi Chi's of Wichita, but for fast food it's okay. Prices are great if you get the specials. There are some things I like at Taco Bell, and some things I like at Taco Tico. Taco Tico...the Taco Burger and the taco pizzza thing. Taco Bell, the Baja Gordita's and the nachos' bell grande. I can say that this new management of Taco Tico has improved the old by far. I wouldn't eat at the old one mainly because I know who worked there and the hygiene issues they had. So far, I've nothing to complain about. Except for the mild salsa is a bit too hot. read more

While I love food from Taco Tico, eating in the establishment is not something I would do again. We walked in and it was an extremely dark which took away the family feel completely. We got our food pretty quick but had to take it back right after because of not one, but TWO hairs that were found in my food. Gross! We got it fixed and the cook kept glaring at us from the back. I'm almost scared to order something else! The music is too loud in here, so if you want to have a conversation, good luck. This is probably the least satisfying Taco Tico experience. I recommend the one in Derby over this one ANY day! read more
