This is a McDonalds. So theres a limit to how good the food could ever possibly be. But that said, this is probably the best McDonalds food I've had in the last 10 years. I've only been here a few times but every one of those times, the fries were cooked perfectly, the nuggets were cooked perfectly, and the burgers were cooked perfectly (except one funny mishap that wasn't they're fault, it had to do with the way the ordering system interprets certain customizations). At the end of the day, all I care about really is how good the food is. And for McDonalds, this is as good as it gets. read more

She hoisted her arm "get in the line over here!" "Over here! This McDonald's needs to get it together because what I experienced was beyond unacceptable. The drive-thru workers were unbelievably rude -- not just attitude, but straight-up disrespectful. Acting like customers are an inconvenience instead of their actual job. Then the food? Absolutely disgusting. This location runs a tight ship. Always clean and nothing is out of place. All the workers are nice and friendly and efficient. I don't understand the bad reviews. People are really hating on this crew and people have been outright just rude to them, this is during (lunch time weekdays). The food comes out fresh and hot. The soda is always bubbly as if they clean the machine every day, nothing is sticky ever. Everyone is working and not on their phones like some other restaurants. read more

Went here the day before Thanksgiving. The person at the counter was very unpleasant and seemed quite upset that people wanted to order interrupting her deep thoughts about whatever was on her mind. We had to wait for our quarter pounders to be cooked, which is fine, but they seemed to have cooked the quarter pounders to something akin to a charcoal briquette. We ordered a cheeseburger, 2 quarter pounders, a double quarter pounder, a chicken sandwich, a McNuggets, and a McRib. When we got home, no nuggets, no McRib. When we pulled up to the window the woman working began to yell at us for not waiting for her and that she is just one person and that we are just supposed to wait until she calls us, as if it's normal to spend 10+ minutes at a McDonalds drive thru after someone greets you then doesn't say another word. I waited in the drive through for an actual eternity. My wife gave birth to our first son while waiting in this drive through line. I watched him grow up, playing between the idling cars. We home schooled him using old napkins from our glove box as paper. The only thing that could make this location worth visiting is if they literally allowed you in the back to collect the items in your order yourself. The staff is not only incompetent at understanding the menu and what comes with a meal, but when asked for missing pieces they may roll their eyes right in front of your face. That's always fun. This Micky D's seems to be more up in the price range and I though I was doing my tip justice on another Mc Donald's when being charged 30 cents for an extra squeeze out a Mac Sauce bottle... This place charged me 60 Cents for Extra Mac sauce! For 60 cents I really hope their not using another "Herb" for seasoning... Their order taking is unaccurate, you drive up to a dry, straight face 90% of the time, And why ask what sauce I want if your not even going to toss in the bag? Mc Donalds is known for their salty fries "but me like salty" (roll eyes) My fries had no salt on them at all. I also ordered a crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich, apart from it having just ONE thin piece of lettuce part of it was turning brownish from most likely being left out for too long withough covering it, or just getting plain old. Same issue with the cheese as it was dry and hard on the corners, the same texture you get when you leave your cheese on the fridge all night and forget to seal the bag letting air go through all night, or just leaving it outside uncovered, unwrapped... I've been to this McDonald's more than a few times when I've been in town, and they're good. Fast, clean, decent and kind people. EXCELLENT management. I'm actually writing to make sure you know more about them than just their food. They are a part of the little community here. They take care of the elderly patrons that come eat there every day. They CARE about them. They care about all of us. My Mom had something really bad happen outside of their restaurant. They were they, they helped, they were devastated as we are too. I went here with my kids because of the play place i like to have them run around till there tired.the food was great i got the bacon cheeseburger club, my kids happy meal and my girlfriend got the chicken wraps. The food was great fries were fresh the nuggets were crispy. It was a great dinner as i took the kids to the play place it was hot. The kids were sweating like they ran the marathon. 10 minutes being in that room i burned off that delicious burger. It felt like the sauna room at the gym just no creepy old men. I took my son and his friend to McDonald's on Saturday night after their Hockey game . They got 2 Big Mac meals and we went through the drive through. Got home and both Big Macs only had ONE Hamburg patty instead of 2 . Really nasty with all the buns and sauces and Only 1 Hamburg Patty of Beef. Employees were nice not sure they knew what they were doing. I haven't been to McDonald's in a long time and routinely do Not let my kids eat there . I purchased lunch including a Diet Coke. I found some plastic gloves inside the cup with the ice and soda. I immediately returned and asked to speak with the manager. When she saw the cup with the gloves in it she said no and walked away from me. Her assistant told me to leave or he would call the police. McDonald's just finished the construction on their brand new restaurant on Route 1 in the former spot of the weirdly layed out, giant McDonald's, and former Lenscrafters. Now, they have replaced the entire building and opened one different from all others in the area, with a playplace and much more modern, open air, bright, colorful setting that is beyond the expectations of an average McDonald's. In comparison to the location on Broadway in Norwood Center, it would be tough to categorize this McDonald's and that one as even being the same restaurant change. From not only the exterior and interior, service is not even comparable. This new location is on top of things (typical to the way that this place was always run) but the seating area is gigantic and comfortable with space that is used in a much more practical way for a fast food restaurant, that is much cleaner. I was very happy with my first experience to the new McDonald's, and while I am a larger fan of Wendy's (and will be even happier when they open in Norwood, scheduled to happen next year) this is a good spot that almost accompanies for the lack of a Wendy's in the area. Good job with this one McDonald's, always nice to have something around that just isn't like the rest. 5 stars for this one. The best of the McD restaurants in the area. read more

For the past few months they have hired many new people who are rude especially the girl at the window who takes your money. I have been going here for years as my parents live in the area and like a treat every now an again. I have now decided that this establishment is no longer worthy of my business. No fast food joint deserves a 5 star PERIOD. IMHO of course. It's easy to connect and easy enough to jump on their computers. I've been able to stop by Starbuck's in Norwood and just sit my ass while surfing and doing some work. It's a great place to kill time waiting for traffic to die down or anything else. They are conveniently located on the corner of Rte 1 and University Ave in Westwood. There's a Mercedes dealership behind them, a Chrysler in front and an Audi diagonally on the other side. I will not give my opinion only facts. I go to this Mcdonalds frequently. Others our out of the way. I believe this Mcdonalds seriously makes a conscious effort to rip customers off. I put this to the test. I went to other Mcdonalds and compared the amount of soda in the drinks. A medium drink at other Mcdonalds has about 17-18 ounces in it. The Norwood Mcdonalds consistently has on average 9-10 ounces in a 21 ounce drink. You literally get half as much at Norwood Mcdonalds. I have complained and emailed management. They will not even reply. There Facebook response was "sorry hope you give us another chance". Why?? They will not change. I have also checked with national Mcdonalds to see what recommended serving sizes are. There is so much ice its difficult to put a straw in the cup. I could be wrong and less than 50 percent soda in a drink is ok but at least a reply back from management to explain that would be nice. Also employees are not adequately trained on mobile order. I place my mobile order and charge it to my CC. Almost every time they still try to get cash out of e until I have to explain the process to them. read more

I ordered this week in the drive-thru and although I had to pull up for about 5min, they brought my food out fresh, hot and in the middle of a rain that was TERRENTIAL. Plus, the woman who brought me my food used the word 'deluge' to make a joke when she handed my order over. Hot, fresh, quick food and a funny and kind employee. I don't understand the issue with this McDonald's. We come in almost every morning and they take forever putting orders together. You see the workers just chatting over in the cafe area ignoring the fact they have 6 orders sitting on the screen and a lobby full of people waiting for food. They also have everyone working drive thru and no one paying attention to the lobby, which all the orders are to go, we have to get to work too. Last week we put in a mobile order to make sure it was ready and we were on time for the train and they still took forever! The lady had the balls to say that she would be right with us and went to stocking sauces, in the morning where no one needs them. I don't get it.
