Everything was in perfect order, and in about 2 minutes she came back to make sure everything was good. Exactly the kind of service I always look for.. Food: quality and price. My guest and I ordered build-your-own burgers and steak tips. I wanted my steak tips medium rare and that's how they came, exactly cooked to order. With my steak tips I got a large basket of shoestring fries which were very tasty, and a big bowl of cole slaw that was sweet and delicious. The steak tips were excellent. Perfectly seasoned and grilled. My friend's burger was big and meaty, and was filled and stacked with all kinds of goodies. We both got diet cokes, which came with free refills. Overall, if you drop by a local neighborhood pub to grab a quick dinner, you can't go wrong with this place. It's not the Capital Grill or anything. We came near closing time but they allowed us to sit in the dining room while they started to clean the bar section. We heard they have delicious fried pickles so we ordered that and chicken wings as our starters. The pickles were truly delicious and very filling for 4 people. We shared a customized cheeseburger and salads. Overall, great service and timing. The burger itself was good, but it didn't wow me where I needed to come back to eat it again. We have gone to the next door Raven's nest and liked it quite a bit. Thought we'd try Tessie's as it looks so inviting. Our waitress Kelly was great! Very attentive and easy going. I ordered the corn chowder - great texture and soft potatoes but quite salty. We both got burgers and somehow they lacked any kind of flavor. Tater tots were hot and crispy- very good there. I was planning on getting a salad that was on special but as I looked at the menu, I noticed the "famous" buffalo cauliflower and wondered what made it famous. So I got the buffalo cauliflower salad - topped with quinoa, corn, artichokes, red onion and ranch dressing. The flavor combination was outstanding and that's in large part due to the Buffalo cauliflower- coated in a Buffalo flavored batter and fried to perfection. It had great reviews, was pretty much on our way home, and the menu listed fried pickles and tots! That sealed the deal! The place was crowded, with mostly high top tables and bar seating. Luckily a smaller table for 2 was available. Our waitress was perfect...she was there when we needed and even anticipated some needs before we even asked! She was fast, efficient and super nice. The fried pickles were fantastic and they easily accommodated another sauce as I am not a fan of ranch. Our burgers, one Patti Melt and 1 build your own (both requested Med rare and on Texas toast) were perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor. The tots were a smash hit and I really liked their take on coleslaw. Great meal, excellent service, prices pretty reasonable, clean restrooms. It was a little dark inside, but after we were done reading the menu that did not seem to matter. We loved it this dining experience and would definitely recommend a stop in. It didn't dignify a taste. It was like dumping a bowl of oatmeal on a bun. What was I thinking? Where was my recall? Remove it from the menu already! Do a little research and testing. We went in on a Friday evening and were able to snag a table, the space is small, and I don't believe they take reservations for parties under 6 people, so get there early! Recently went on about 1pm on a Sunday. The space is small, but feels big. The decor is nice and makes the space feel comfortable. We started with fried pickles, which were delicious!! I have the Polynesian burger that has pineapple and teriyaki, it was a good burger. The portions were good in the sense that you felt satisfied but not busting when you finished it. The garlic tater tots on the side stole the show. They were crispy and had the perfect amount of garlic. They have a good variety of beverages on tap, and seasonal cocktails. They did have a little flyer that they are soon expanding their menu, will look forward to returning to try it. The servers were nice and read back each order to ensure it was correct. I would maybe not recommend for small children as the space is on the smaller side, but they do have a kids menu. read more

Amazing experience we went there to see a friendly hadn't seen in a while. She is a bartender there. The place was clean. Well lit lots of customs very friendly people.. We set at the bar. It is a little pricey, five shrimps on a platter were like $15. But it's Christmas and we were having a nice visit. Was our friend that we hadn't seen over here. There's only 7-8 seats at the bar a couple of high tops of two for high tops of four and two lower tables of four each. This is a nice place to go. If you don't like the large gathering type of place that has lots of people, loud yelling games going on, etc. They are only open until 10 to 11 tentatively pending on how busy the place is. I would definitely recommend this place for someone to go to to have a light bite and a cocktail if they're interested and actually want to talk with the people that they are with so they can hear what they are saying. Our bartenders name was Mary, she's very friendly outgoing informative explains all the drink specials. What's in them just in case something you don't like , Tells you what the specials are right now they have a lot of food holiday drink things to try. I suck with the regular thing. I always drink because I was driving and I knew I didn't want anything heavy or complicated. Happy holidays everyone try this little tiny place in the center of Walpole. Found this little, and I do mean little , place while searching for a new burger place. Menu for burgers was a good size and it offered some really different combinations on the burgers. The place was tiny, I think we counted 12 tables and a small bar, so the wait time was long and many people saw the line and left. They are renovating a second d side and when done it should look great. We ended up grabbing a spot at the bar. Drinks were very reasonable considering the area we were in as were the prices for food. Wife is keto and they had keto options including a two nice prices of lettuce to wrap her burger. She had the wholly guacamole burger. A good amount of guacamole with fried jalapeños. I had the Tessie. A burger with cheese, onion bacon jam and smoked avocado. Both burgers were cooked to a perfect medium rare and delicious. I also had the coleslaw as a side and it was a pretty good tangy side. Only thing I would change is allow fries with the coleslaw. We were told it's the new rule... while we were finishing our drinks and preparing to leave anyway the waitress COULD HAVE NOTICED and judged the moment and say thank you... and just let us go. But to blatantly come up and say she was sorry but she had to ask us to leave was beyond horrifying, really???? Not to also say the lettuce on the chicken sandwich was shriveled up,roll dry and not too tempting. We told the waitress but she shrugged us off....in the old Tesses they would have offered we get something else or fix it.... Sincerely, Not sure I'd return! My friends and I went on a Wednesday night at 5:30 and the place was loud and crowded. I ordered a cheeseburger, could they spare the American Cheese btw, cooked perfectly very well done. One of my friends ordered the pulled pork Sammie on Texas toast which was delicious with tater tots and my other friend ordered The Tessie, a burger with cheddar, smoked avocado aioli and onion bacon jam. We had onion strings which came out cold and we sent back. Our server was a lovely young lady who was excellent. As an aside, don't expect to have dessert there.... 1 cake choice, they were out of the dessert of the week and they don't have ice cream!!! We ordered the soft pretzel appetizer, you get 2 large pretzels, honey mustard and beer cheese dips. Dip the pretzel into both, you won't regreet it. I got the Polynesian burger, my husband got the Calusa burger. Both were Fantastic! I ordered the fries as my side, he ordered the tots- brought out fries with it, but I'm not even thinking of deducting a star for it, because everything else was so good!
