I haven't been here enough to formulate an opinion for feedback. Yesterday however, i had an order that should've been ready to go as ordered on the app. I leave my car to go inside and there is a male worker, who was mopping the floor. Decided to lock the door from the inside infront of my face. I was shocked, I walk to the other side and he's speed walking to lock it i front of my face. I go back to the other side, the lobby isn't supposed to be closed till 6:00 PM, so why are we closing it before? When a customer let me in, he proceeded to try to kick me out. Never the less, i got the food but in no way or form should that lobby have been closed. Then asking me to go to the drive thru lane? Make it make sense. Used the McDonald's app this morning for curbside pickup and it was a smooth experience. The app had great deals, including the buy one get one for $1 hash browns, which is solid these days even though they used to be cheaper. I pulled into a curbside spot about 8 minutes after ordering, entered the spot number, and my food was out in under 2 minutes. Everything was correct and hot. The sausage egg McMuffin was good, and the hash browns were hot and crispy. The employee who brought the order out was really nice and friendly, which always makes the experience better. This specific establishment completely rubbed me the wrong way. The weather has been super hot lately here in Oakland, why is the inside just as hot as the weather outdoors? The lobby was filthy. I am utterly pissed the F off! Ordered through mobile app and spent about $52 and some change. Got to the window, picked up our order, and it didn't look like there were enough sauces for the 5 orders of chicken nuggets, so I asked for more. The lady at the window gave me 4 more, and some guy in the back says something in Spanish, and she replies with, "I know, but she wants more," and gives it to me, and he is going to shake his head. Like, are you for real? When we get home, we find that one of the nugget orders and my grandson's apple juice are missing. So I show up at 3:55 in the morning correct and it's still showing the lunch/dinner menu and so I tried to order and since I never go to McDonald's for breakfast, she tells me oh we only have breakfast right now and when I ask her, what do you have because I don't come here for breakfast so I don't know she tries to tell me that all the menu changed at 4 o'clock so I'm thinking how am I supposed to be able to? biggest rip off I get a large caramel wrap every morning from my local McDonald's in Pacifica. I happen to be in Oakland today so I stop by this one they know not only have a surcharge for a large caramel frappe of $.10 extra plus to 50 Cent for the extra caramel, they also give it to you in a medium cup when I question them because I know exactly what size cup comes in every day in a large cup. This is straight up theft! Ordered through the mobile app, meals and ice cream, mcflurry. When I went to pick it up the man tells me the ice cream machine is locked. He looked about half asleep and probably didn't want to clean up the machine so i just asked for a refund and he tells me to go through the app. Not thinking much of it i drive home and find out it has to be the store that does it. Every now and then, the craving for McDonald's hits my tastebuds and no matter how much I try to ignore it, I can't. I stopped by early in the morning for breakfast and decided to try their new Chicken McGriddle (~$2) and added cheese ($0.50). They had a special through the Mobile app, so it actually came with a free Hash Brown (normally ~$2). I also added a Small Orange Juice (~$2) to make it a full breakfast. When I arrived, my order was still not ready. According to the app, it will give you an estimated time and tells you it'll be ready when you get there. So that was a bit disappointing. After speaking to one of the workers there, they got my order together pretty quickly. The Chicken McGriddle was interesting. It was just the McChicken patty on the McGriddle syrupy pancake sandwich. The hash brown was cooked perfectly, as always. And the orange juice was a solid breakfast staple that tied it all together. Overall, it was a good try. I don't think it would be my go-to breakfast order, but it definitely kept me full for a while and tasted fine! read more

This is a review for every McDonald's in Oakland California of the United States. Many people rely on inexpensive affordable food... With that being said, the food should be edible, hot and tasty...menu items and extras should be obliged. Who wants to eat chicken nuggets with no sauce? Not me. Who wants to eat ten chicken nuggets with one sauce? Not me. If you do not want to give out ranch for the fries or sweet and sour for the chicken nuggets, maybe try to infuse those ingredients into those items, or make them taste better on their own. You infuse the McGriddle with syrup. Delicious by the way. Would be nice If I could order a McGriddle with a simple delicious round egg instead of flat dry folded egg. The option for round egg substitution had been removed. They also removed the steak egg and cheese bagels that helped make my childhood more special. Why not bring it back? You keep bringing back the McRib, which is disgusting. When I ask for something and pay for it constantly I expect to be obliged. How do you never have milkshakes but they are stuck on the menu... remove it. Remove the condiments if you do not intend to give them out. And perhaps answer the phone... Don't hide. We need to come together. Food is the cornerstone of American society. We have to do better. Other great food items..blueberry muffin is a nice addition to the menu but only when warmed and the employees do not think it necessary to warm your muffin so the item becomes pointless. Hash-browns need ranch. Fries need ranch. The deluxe quarter pounder is very good. I do not like ketchup on my burger and the company slaps ketchup on every burger. The chicken sandwich regular is delicious, especially with cheese. The new spicy chicken sandwich is so spicy to me its almost inedible. Lastly Maybe the company can try to take the shelf life of the meal from having to consume it within twenty minutes of it being fresh. After those twenty minutes the meal is dead. People still eat it because they do not have a choice... I be they ate and are still irritated and hangry because of the cold dead food that it affects the rest of their day or life. I know it's McDonald's, so I really don't expect much, but my experience here on Monday 1/18/21 was just deplorable. A female employee with purple hair and glasses gave me a Powerade instead of the Dr Pepper that I asked for, I thought she heard me wrong and decided not to make a fuss about it and just take it, I didn't really care about the drink, and actually thought I was doing her a favor by not having her fix my drink. A few Minutes later she rudely asks " what drink did I give you?" And when I told her Powerade she rudely says "give it back". So I give her back the drink and she gives me the Dr Pepper. It was like she was upset with me because SHE gave me the wrong drink! I guess she mixed up my order with someone else's, but I already touched the cup and put it in my cup holder, so the fact that she wanted it back to possibly give to the customer behind me is scary. Something must have been wrong with the soda machine because the Dr Pepper did not taste right, so my partner asked for water instead, and of course she was not happy about that either. She gave us the water bottles then she slammed the window. Then my partner needed ketchup so she sent another employee to the window. We were not rude or nasty at all, and we were not being difficult so I don't understand why this woman was so hostile towards us. I ordered breakfast and their apple pay machine was not working, i was told to drive to the next window and i did. The lady hands me over half my order and then stops. She proceeds to repeat for the next 3 minutes "but I already gave her the food" in Spanish to her coworker. Finally the lady who sent me to the next window comes but no one is talking to me, i am just sitting there while the Spanish speaking lady proceeds to keep saying "but i already gave her food" the original lady leaves again. So i interject and say i can pay with a card, i dont need to use apple pay. The Spanish speaking lady then tells me i have to pay cash to which i respond with "i dont have cash, can i pay with apple pay or a card?" So she turns around and in Spanish tells her coworker in Spanish that i am getting upset. I am fluent in Spanish so I respond saying i am not upset, i just want to know how to pay as cash is not an option. To which this lady responded saying that if i had not paid for my food why did i accepted it. i responded by telling her she was the one that handed it over to me and she told me "well you should have been smarter about it and not accepted the food". I am baffled at this customer service where I am being told to be "smarter" about not receiving my food. As it was always my intention to pay and its not my fault the system was not working. Came to purchase a Grand Mac, electronic signage in the drive thru displays three Big Mac options, but while ordering, I'm told the Grand Mac has not been available for 4 days. I sat in the drive thru for twenty minutes only to be told the Grand Mac is not available. I couldn't leave the drive thru since it's curbed, so I was effectively trapped until everyone ahead of me left. I requested a manager, who was nice enough, but he couldn't correct the sign and was aware that it was incorrect for the last four days. If I were at a Starbucks they would have offered compensation, but nothing was offered so I left disappointed. I'm a home owner just a couple of blocks away, bad enough I have to deal with the trash from the restaurant blowing up the street, I can't get food they advertise or customer service on the level of other establishments.
