This coffee place is definitely a place where you wanna go, when there's not that much people. I love the modern and hip vibe of the building in itself -- the decor inside the place a really cozy yet light environment. I love how active they are about giving back to the community. That to me shows a lot. They're also proudly Latina and women-owned too, so that in itself shows a lot.I walked in and got an horchata latte -- and needless to say, they were one of the best ones I've ever gotten. It tasted really silky, not too sweet, and the cinnamon taste wasn't overbearing. One thing to note - they are closed on Tuesdays, which is odd. I will not question that. They are also a vibe as well -- great hospitality and they treat everybody who comes in like familia. This is one of those be-seen in coffee shops. The decor is strategic and well thought out, and the people who come here are a diverse crowd. It makes you feel welcome, whoever YOU may be, and I loved this place the moment I stepped foot inside. The staff are friendly, youthful, hip and beautiful. I feel like coffee is made best by people who have good energy and it's always a great vibe coming here. I usually opt for the iced mocha, which isn't a sugar bomb like most places. It looks milk forward but you can very much taste the coffee. I also favor the cortado, which comes in a little cup with a beautiful foam on top. Super strong for those rougher mornings. They also serve a great vegan chocolate chip cookie and Tutuli Coyotas with fig, raspberry or guava filling. Think sweet empanadas meets cookie, or homemade pop tart with a thinner crust. I tried this place for once after being new to the area, I was disappointed with the drink itself, I was handled the drink with no lid/ no straw, and that was that. The person who gave me it wasn't rude or impolite however you think it's common curtsy to at least give a straw/ lid because it was a to go drink so I had to be careful when leaving the door. It was a mix of early grey tea with oat milk and some kind of sweetener. FTP? Something? Whatever it is, and if you spot that acronym-- GO BUY IT. Such a delightful treat in the morning. The vegan conchitas were adorable, super affordable, and delicious. I also tried the vegan Impossible empanada and FTP tea which were both excellent. Everyone working was really wonderful and knowledgeable on wheat free and dairy free options if that's something that impacts you. Hasta Muerte Coffee is off-the-charts delicious. It's been on my list to try for a long time and finally had a chance to stop in. Their Creamy Gold Brew is absolutely amazing! It takes a usual cold brew coffee and kicks it up three notches with its Trust Your Gut Spice Mix (turmeric, it seems like, with other spices) and Café De Olla Syrup. Combined, it really makes that cold brew shine. I also got two empanadas -- one beef, one mushroom. Both were highly flavorful and tasty with a great crust. Inside the cafe was a small gift space and community area. Seems like a really cool and safe space to be in. Overall, this place is absolutely worth making a detour for! read more
