I waited almost 15 minutes in the drive-through only to receive the wrong order in the wrong drink. So I called the phone number. Posted on the window just to say, I thought the workers were too stressed to do a good job. The HR guy answered the phone. So there really has no call Center but the owner has nine local stores. He literally stayed on the phone with me for 11 minutes telling me that my incorrect order was the fault of course staffing " because people don't want to work anymore" incorporate for new items they aren't trying to prepare. He was defending every single thing about management's approach. Definitely not the guy that should be answering the complaint line without being trained how to talk to customers. How do I rate this McDonald's a zero? Stopped here tonight after a long travel day to grab a quick sandwich with my husband. Oddly, the restaurant had no eat-in customers. It was filthy, yet employees were standing around chatting, not making any attempt to clear/clean tables or the drink area which had sticky soda spilled all over it. A pleasant young woman (therefore the 1-star rating rather than zero) finally waited on us, but I did NOT get what I ordered. The fries were cold. We finally found a table that had not been wiped off but was better than all the other options. I wiped it with wet napkins but didn't have sanitizer on me to do a better job. We spent $20 for what was inedible. At least my diluted iced tea was cold and wet. Sorry, I knew there was a reason I no longer patronize McDonald's, but now I am reminded and I will never go there again! read more

While I am sure this won't surprise anyone, in a world that has become colder and less friendly by the minute McDonald's has found new ways to take your money without speaking to you. And it's frustrating. Make no mistake, they do not want to talk to you. Except minimally at the drive through. They really don't want to talk to you there either. They want you to have used their app and give them the ticket number. I use the app once in a while. But it is cumbersome. Between a Dr visit and work this morning I thought an egg McMuffin breakfast sounded good. I hate the after smell of grease in my car so I went in. The place was barren. Lobby empty. Counter empty and all the workers could be seen around corner in the kitchen. I perused the fast changing digital menu. And waited at the counter. For 4 minutes. People looked at me and walked away. Not a good morning, we will be with you, eat poop and die, nothing. And I knew they wanted me to use that damn menu kiosk. All fast food places do. And they along with Taco Bell and others do it too. They will purposefully ignore you. So you can spend 10 minutes maneuvering their cumbersome digital nonsense. So I did. And at the end it said "sorry this machine is unable to process digital funds. Please take this order receipt to the checkout". I was furious. I turned and went to the desk again. Smoke must have been coming out my collar. Again they ignored me. Until finally someone came out with food for another customer they lay on a tray. And said "do you need help"? I said yes. Because I don't work here. I handed him the receipt and he said "ok, 7.99". I paid and said "you know, this used to be the BEST fast food place when I was growing up, while my kids were little, and now it's a sleek looking poorly run machine. Nobody has manners or etiquette. We truly are just ticket numbers, Ive been trying to order a meal for 10 minutes. What happened to customer service"? He said "yeah. This will be out shortly"...and in 7 minutes more, it was. So what's the end game? McDonald's doesn't want you IN the lobby. Sharing meals with your family. Making messes and noise. Having to speak to you. Learn and practice politeness and basic human communication skills. They advertise the 5 dollar meal but hide it by not putting it on their menu. You have to ask for it like a dirty word. Their sandwiches are smaller but cost more. Again, you probably know all this, but I needed to let you know along with everything else, the greed and corporations continue to consume us rather than appreciating a customer who can and will go somewhere else. Had lunch with my Grandson yesterday. The restaurant was dirty. All but one table in the dining room was unwiped. Garbage can was overflowing. The restaurant was not at all busy so I could see no reason for the pig sty conditions. The franchise owner should be absolutely embarrassed for the condition of their business. read more

I am not a fan of McDonalds or fast food in general, but twice a year for over two decades I order 85 sausage McMuffins for a hospital account of our as part of a breakfast treat we bring in. Chloe took care of us flawlessly and with a great friendly attitude. Nice to see even in the horrible environment anti human McDonald's has created. I don't know how hard it is to hire employees that can follow directions but I'm sitting in their drive-thru right now waiting on a new batch of fries with my Burgers getting cold. This McDonald's is disgusting and slow. I ordered a single fry and a cheeseburger in the drive thru. They told me to pull up to wait for the fries since they were running behind. I waited over 20 minutes for my fries and the line of people was building up behind me as other people were also told to wait. Other than that this place stinks like absolute *ss on the outside. I didn't even have to walk in to smell the terrible stench emanating from the building. Do not go here at all. Most disgusting, vile McDonald's I've ever been at. Ordered two kids meals and a quarter pounder deluxe among other items in the drive-thru. They didn't give us the drinks with the kids meals and my deluxe didn't have any vegetables, which is the only reason to even get the deluxe. So very angry at this McDonalds AGAIN! I pulled up to the drive through and was the only person there. I was told to wait, I patiently waited. I asked if the soft serve machine was working, it was not. No shakes either. Typical at McDonalds in general, but par for this location, Okemos, MI on Okemos Rd. I ordered a Double cheeseburger plain. I saw on the display it was put in correctly. I inquired if this could please be hot, I was asked, you mean fresh? , I said yes if that was the correct way to order that item. I was told to pull up to 2nd window, I sat for maybe 10-15 seconds, was handed the burger, my water came after that, then I paid, received no receipt. I get home quickly, I live very close to this location. Open up the package and it's barely warm, the bun is stale and cold and has all the stuff on it. I call the store to complain and David answered, he had also taken my order. I asked him why when I asked for burger to be plain and fresh it was not? He said he ordered it that way but he didn't make it. I asked him if he knew how fast it came up, since he handed it to me, he didn't suspect it wasn't fresh. He had no answer. I explained I hadn't gotten a hot satisfactory burger from this store in over a year, that I had no receipt, and I wanted him to print out my receipt and I would be in the next day to speak to a manager. He did apologize and said if I returned they would make another cheeseburger. I could not return then, it was 10:18pm. I told him I was done with this horrible excuse for a McDonald's, and I am. Regardless of the convenience factor, never again. There are several other fast food choices in that direct vicinity. I have been ill for over a week and this was my first attempt at beef. This McDonald's needs an update when it comes to the outside. The building hasn't caught up to the "McCafe" look that many McDonalds' now have. The service from the drive-thru was pretty good. The inside; however, left much to be desired. I was the first to order in a group of 3 and a group of about 6-7, and both times I got my food last. It is pretty dirty when you come in there too. My food was good. They never fail when I'm in the mood for some fast food. I've seen and been to better McDonald's in my lifetime, but this falls a little below the mark. This is an average restaurant in my opinion. Arby's down the road would be a better option in my opinion, but this place will do nonetheless. read more

Seemed like your typical McDonald's. I put in a $50 breakfast order to-go. Oddly they ran out of hotcakes so early in the morning but at least I was able to get 3 out of 4 of my orders; however when I got home we realize they didn't pack the pancake syrup. Needless to say, the kids we're disappointed. Also, the eggs were slightly runny, making the biscuits a little soggy. The construction in 2018 made this location difficult to access, the hills as a part of the driveway here make it a bad idea for any vehicle with a low ground clearance. When I tow, my hitch is less than 16" from the ground. I scrape the ground every time I enter or exit their lot with my class III Reese hitch. Don't forget to fill out your server mcdvoice customer satisfaction survey folks! It's worth free food! Not sure what the negative reviews were about. I am writing this based on comparison to other McDonalds. What can you say, it is a McDonalds so the food can only be so good. The food is hot and fast. The drive through is incredibly fast and I have never gotten an incorrect order there. Amazingly, the service in the drive through is actually 'with a smile' and courteous... definitely not your average McDonalds there. When I eat inside, the staff is friendly and it is clean. Inside has been updated. As McDonalds go, this is one of the best out there in my opinion. read more

The food is regularly cold here. The staff while not hostile are certainly not very outgoing. The ketchup dispenser has been broken for months now. If it weren't for their location this would be a very underperforming location. However I guess the location right off the highway allows their poor performance to slide and avoid making long overdue improvements. Do yourself a favor and skip this McDonald's. I frequent this location a lot as it is on my way to work. So i go through the drive thru enough to know when my order will be made right or not depending on who is running it. I have gotten many of my ordered messed up, even going so far that i got a Dr Pepper instead of a Diet Coke the other day and i noticed when my order is wrong it is always when the old woman with the Betty Boop name tag is handing me food. She is consistently rude when handing it to me and 9/10 some aspect of my order has either been forgotten or completely wrong. She almost literally throws the food out the window instead of handing it to me gently, there have been multiple occasions where i have almost dropped my food because of the aggressive nature in which she hands it off. She either needs to be taken off the window or find a new job. read more

Update from my 2012 review. With all the phone calls I made to managers and corporate about this location, NOTHING has changed in three years. My office location moved, so I no longer stop at this location. Today, I made the mistake of trying it, jumping off the highway on the way to work for breakfast take-out - my loss. Still the same lousy food preparation. I had the same outcome with this location I had in 2012. Old, stale and cold hashbrown, a steak, egg and cheese biscuit that was warm, but the bottom portion of the biscuit was sopping with grease to the point it was no longer recognizable. The coffee was lukewarm and the holiday pie tasted stale cold and raw, possibly made the day before? I called the manager promptly and she reported that she checks the food and it is fine. Since no receipt was given to me and she "could not find" or locate the store receipt, I was shockingly told I was out of luck, but she would talk to the staff. Ya right!
