    Menemen

If you're looking for a cozy spot with a simple yet traditional menu, The Social Sloth is a hidden gem you need to visit! The freshly made bread and pastries are an absolute delight, making each bite feel like a warm hug from a culinary grandma. I couldn't resist the menemen, and while it may seem basic at first glance, the explosion of flavors made it clear this dish is anything but ordinary. The ambiance is charming and unpretentious, making it a perfect place for a casual brunch or a laid-back coffee date. Friendly staff, great food, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. I know I will!

Turkish cafe! Great food, great vibes. We ordered Turkish egg, Turkish tea and beef pastries. We also ordered eclairs. I can't discribe how delicious everything was! The egg is mixed with tomato sauce and onion. Very unique flavor. The pastries tasted similar to samosa. Puffy and warm. Prices are unbeatable! I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Amazing food and very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was what you expect from a small business, which was welcoming and attentive. We also took a variety pack of the Turkish Delights home, out of this world delicious, definitely coming back often.

Delicious Turkish food - obviously prepared with love! Meatballs, beef stew, sauces like whoa, chai lattes, salads, cakes, tahini sweets, baklava, and more! Cute sloth designs and art all over the place. Lovely owners/chefs who give great food ideas and seat ideas ("The plates won't all fit at this table, let's migrate to the bigger table!") ... One of my favorite places to eat in Michigan!

The staff was so kind and welcoming! Best dessert in the area. The coffee was so authentic! Great place for family and friends to gather or studying! 5 stars.

The Social Sloth Cafe & Bakery has been on my list for a while, and it did not disappoint, and most definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the Köfte, which are Turkish meatballs, and they were delicious, especially with the mint yogurt sauce on the side. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the salad provided a nice complement to the savory flavor of the dish. I, of course, ordered the baklava for a dessert, and it was by far my favorite part--so delicious! I'm happy I stopped by, and will for sure be a repeat customer. I'm hoping to try something new each time I stop by!

Finally had a chance to try Social Sloth and I wasn't disappointed! I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and found it to be very flavorful- I normally like cream in my brewed coffee but this I drank as is, no bitterness at all. It was served in the cutest cup too. I also ordered the Traditional Breakfast plate which was amazing! The service was great and very accommodating. So many items that I want to try so I will definitely be back!

A quaint little coffee/Bakery shop with Turkish Tea, & coffee,". It doesn't just stop there. It's a full on Restaurant with Authentic Turkish food for Breakfast through Dinner. they have Turkish sausage called Sujuk which is a little spicy and very good. And the Traditional Breakfast plate with the Olives, & Feta and fresh vegetables with homemade jams was very abundant & filling. If your looking fort homemade food. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Our host was super kind, helpful with the menu and had a sense of humor. Grape leaves - I believe it was cold if I remember, and it's a softer/mushy texture. The host called it "Turkish Sushi." It was good and different! Appetizers- phenomenal. Fresh, hot, flavorful. We had cheese served on a hot stone, it was beautiful. Nothing was over or under seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nice fry, nice bake, nice sizzles. Salmon was cooked just right. Calamari was fried great and had a good crunch. Feta borek reminded me of crab cheese ragoons. I love the way it's prepared though, even bites and good flaky crunch. The shell is light and wasn't greasy. Baklava was delicious. Rice pudding was delicious. Drinks were on point. 10/10 will be back again!

Zeytin serves authentic Turkish cuisine along with other middle eastern and American food. A table favourite was the Pepper Delight. Basically, chopped red and green peppers combined with walnuts and tomato. I highly recommend both the Rice pudding and the Fried calamari. Nice big plate I had almost all to myself. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. My friend, Darius, ordered the Chicken shish kebab and the pita was dry, cold and stale. They immediately returned with fresh, hot, moist bread. The wait for the initial order and drink refills was a bit longer. The dining area is large, yet cozy. The eatery has a very embracing, warm ambiance and it's a great gluten-free zone. The guy that suggested we stop here eats vegan. 01/26

She was able to pack what I wasn't able to finish of my entree with a bag of ice (I live out of the area). Thank you! On to the food. My son enjoyed his food as did I. My entree, Penne with Chianti sauce was delicious and was a very nice portion. My son did enjoy everything he ordered. In addition, the restaurant is attractive and clean. My complaints: my very small side salad, and I mean small, had a nice dressing and three small sliced cherry tomotoes for a whopping $8.00. Cafe Zola may have had less than a dollar in ingredients. I don't mind paying $8.00 but make it a salad, not a gouge. His $5.00 ginger beer was maybe 8 oz. Otherwise, a good meal.

I gave a two rather than one thinking that it being Easter, it affected some things. To start, we had an 11:45 reservation. After 10 minutes the couple ahead of us checked in to find out there were no available tables. They had just seated a couple with no reservation who was in front of them. My sister and I cancled the reservation and sat at the bar which was empty. I got a special drink which was a honey lavender latte. There was no lavender flavor to it. It was not worth the $8. My sister had an ice caramel latte with almond milk and that bad boy was over $9 and she said chains have better lattes! On to the food. I ordered brussel sprouts that were supposed to be fried. I asked them to come out before our main dishes. 20 minutes later they come out and they are barely pan seared and had no flavor. People who came in after us and ordered food started getting their dishes. Finally after being there for 45 minutes I asked about our food and I was told that our ticket went in after others because of the appetizer and the kitchen staff not being competent enough to understand how to order up the food. He also mentioned that the kitchen was really small. If that's the case, then don't cram so many tables in such a small place. Fewer tables means fewer orders which means more efficient food production. My waffles were good, but for $18?!? No. And the babka French toast my sister got was defenitely not worth the $21. I'll never go back.
