We are here for a volleyball tournament and this place is right across from the Orange County Convention Center. Due to the proximity we've eaten here a few times to get something quick and sadly, we have yet to encounter an employee who seems like they are happy to be there or somewhat enjoys their job. Getting someone's attention at the pick up counter to request ketchup (which they never include with your order) or a refill of your drink is next to impossible because none of the employees make eye contact with you when they are putting orders on the counter. Rather than anyone proactively asking "how may I help you?", you have to get their attention by interrupting their pattern of ignoring their customers or you would likely be standing there all day like you are invisible. On the receipt they give you, there is a survey that you can fill out to receive a free burger with the purchase of another burger. I filled it out and when we were there today, there was nowhere to add it to our order in the kiosk (and that's the only way to order food there). I had to choose the pay at the counter option and then had to wait again trying to get someone's attention to help me, because no one mans the counter! When I finally did, he said that he couldn't help me because to use the BOGO code they gave me from the survey, I needed a manager. He went to tell the manager what I needed and all I heard her say loudly was "he'll have to wait, I'm busy right now!". So I waited some more and finally she came over and helped me but she acted like I was an inconvenience and that she was doing me a favor. I'm guessing my order didn't actually start until after I paid because we had to wait even longer despite ordering from the kiosk 10 minutes prior. So while the food is what you would expect from Mickey D's and the convenience/location is great, the customer service there is severely lacking. Sadly it hasn't gotten any better in the 3 years we've been coming to this tournament. I know, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice (or more), shame on me! Sadly my kid likes their food. I recently visited this McDonald's , or as many locals affectionately call it, the "Big McDonald's," and I was genuinely surprised to see some of the low ratings. My nephew and I stopped in for a quick lunch and playtime, and we had a great experience. We ordered at the kiosk, took our number upstairs to the play area, and the staff was incredibly friendly. They brought our food to the table, helped with drink refills, and made the visit easy and enjoyable. The food was fresh, the play area was clean and well maintained, and there were plenty of kids playing while still feeling organized and welcoming. What makes this location special is the extensive menu that goes beyond a typical McDonald's, along with the large play area and arcade. We didn't use the arcade this visit, but it's a great option to have. Parking is free, and it's a fun, convenient way to spend an afternoon with kids without paying theme park prices. We went to this McDonald's a lot since it was near our hotel and it's also open 24/7. I used mobile ordering a lot and it worked fine. They were also generally nice when I needed to ask them about something. This McDonald's is close to the convention center and it was slammed on one of the convention days. This is definitely one of the better McDonald's locations that I've been to. The food actually tastes pretty good and is crispy. Service is pretty fast and friendly. Atmosphere is the only thing I would suggest improvement on as I think their restaurant could be a little cleaner. I have patronized this location on several occasions due to the quality of their food; however, after my experience with their condescending manger, Freedy, I will no longer visit this location. After providing the cashier with my receipt and survey code to obtain a "buy one get one any sandwich" the manager, Freedy comes to the window and tells me I cannot use it at this location. I must use it at the McDonald's store I received the receipt. I told him I wasn't aware of this and proceeded to leave the drive thru. I have completed surveys in the past and used the code at another McDonald's location with no issue. I was never told it was invalid until today. Since I made a purchase at that location earlier, I still had my receipt. I completed the survey for their location, wrote my code on the receipt, and placed my order again. The manager was at the window displaying a vile demeanor and condescending attitude. After I provided the receipt, he looks at it like it's fraudulent. The address for their store #6660, was clearly visible on the receipt. He then asks me to provide my phone as proof that I completed the survey. After he views my phone I can hear him tell the cashier, "just give it to her, just give it to her" as if I was begging him for free food. When did McDonald's adopt the policy for customers to provide staff with their phone? Asking me to show my phone as if I'm a liar, criminal, or someone attempting to scam for food is beyond disrespectful and out of line. He had absolutely no right to ask for nor touch my phone. I only have to provide the receipt containing the code not my phone which is an invasion of my privacy. This manager's behavior is very off-putting and offensive. It reflects poorly on your corporation. Please provide your unskilled worker with the appropriate tools on how to properly interact with customers. The workers at this location lied about Ice cream machine not working. I also heard the manger tell workers to lie and tell customers they're out of iced coffees even though they still made them for online orders. This is the biggest McDonalds in the world and as someone who was raised in Orlando it's a nostalgic place to go. The food is McDonald's you can use your app for discounts and points. The service is ok, but the truth is this busier than your average McDonald's it's not uncommon to wait 15 to 20 minutes for your order. They have more than your average Mickey D's eats through they have pizza, pasta, and desserts. I have never tried any of this items so I cannot say yay or nay. Now this McDonald's come equipped with a full play place on the second level but the last few times we've been there it's been closed. They have a huge game room where you can pay to play, but most of the games are broken, it's been like that for at least a year and they haven't gotten any of the broken games fixed. The employees will refund you if you accidentally slide your game card on a broken game. It's just a shame cause this is such a great tourist location that even locals like myself love to bring the kids to for a fun night out. This sandwich was amazing and I wish every location had them, it did take about 10-15 minutes to receive my order but you cannot rush perfection. I was surprised at the facelift and updates most if not all the McDonald's have had over the last year. When we entered we were greeted GOOD MORNING and asked to use the kiosk for faster service. A cashier stood with us just in case we needed help with our first Kiosk transaction. She was patient and really nice. We got our order and paid for it right away. You have an option to pay at the register or Kiosk. We took our cups and the number assigned to us and took a picnic table seating outside the patio area. They had nice music playing outside and a clean seating area with umbrellas available to guest. The waitress (yes McDonald's now has a waitress) brought everything to our table, including our beverages, forks and ketchup. I must say the experience here was nice. The family really enjoyed it. This is the absolute slowest drive-through that I've ever been through. I ordered two coffees and three sausage biscuits and I've been in line for at least 24 minutes. Once I get to the first window I'm thinking OK I'll confirm my order with someone. Think again Once I got to the window this girls accent was so heavy I still couldn't understand if she was speaking English. Sometimes you just can't fix a lack of leadership and management I'm visiting Orlando and went to the local McDonald's for a quick meal before I moved on for my day. I ordered and I asked to have my cuppa coffee while they're prepping the meal. The register girl stated she could not do that! She was not busy no one else was waiting to order moving forward. My order was ready and there were a number of people behind the counter my food sat I was stand looking at my order by the time I got it it was cold or maybe Luke warm at best. They really don't understand customer service and this is clearly the fault of management because the young kids do do what they are told to do. McDonald's management please wake up the stores clean you have young folks that are looking for a good training and learn how to deal with people. customer satisfaction is paramount. The Golden Arches are getting fancier and FANCIER. This one is located on a busy road, and if you don't know exactly where you're going, it's kind of hard to get to. Just be sure to plug it into your GPS and be good at looking ahead, knowing when and where to turn. Now that I gave you that quick tip, let's get to the good stuff. The grub was delightful: I was starved, so I bought a stack of pancakes and a breakfast burrito. The pancakes were cooked to a perfect golden brown and the hot sauce I got with my burrito complimented it to a T. The atmosphere was okay. Like I said, the look is modern and hip, which I love; however, it could have used a nice clean. The garbages would have benefited from a wipe down as well as the tables. The service added to the simply "okay" factor. The host was not very friendly and customer oriented, but my food was correct so I at least know she was listening to me. Ordered from the kiosk screen something was wrong with the one I was using it kept turning the screen black every few seconds spent a couple of minutes ordering, but finally got through process was easy, but the screen turning off made the process slow. Once we've picked up our number, we found a table pretty quick ,wasn't really packed for a Friday night.Food was served to our table fast.& food was excellent. The only reason I put three stars was because half of the arcades were out of order. And whatever you do, don't take the elevator, it stinks like sweaty tourist and pizza and finger prints like a horror movie. read more
