Came here after an Orlando Magic game. Late night comfort food joints are a staple of Downtown Orlando, and they are desperately needed. Looking around after the game, a smash burger sounded like just the thing we needed. Ambiance was nice. Good, chill vibes, a random door to a random next-door bar. Plenty of viable seating for my party of six. Service was pretty ok. The front counter worker was nice enough, but the food took forever to come out. Much longer than I would expect for the products we ordered. The food itself was dynamite. I got the Papi Big Mak (Two Florida-raised beef patties, smashed onions, lettuce, American cheese, sweet-heat pickles, tostone "Middle Bun" , Papi Mak sauce, Sesame Martin Potato Roll). This was a fun thing. The patties had a good crisp to them. The totstone did not, though, so it got a little lost in the bite and chew. Needed more sauce. And that sesame seed bun really helped out a lot, too. A little extra texture in every bite. I was a fan. I also got the chance to try the Umami Papi (Two Florida-raised beef patties, crispy bacon, white cheese, sweet-heat pickles, crispy onion, raspberry jam, Uuuumami truffle sauce, sesame buns). This one was a better topping combination. The pickles had a nice pop of acid, the raspberry jam really stood out, adding a nice sweetness, and the truffle sauce, never thought I needed it on a burger. I did. Standout burger. I also got the Papis Loco Fries. I forget exactly what these fries were topped with, but the cheese, just look at it. Congealed just perfectly. A good side item, for sure. Overall, this greasy meal is out there doing the good work for the people. Maybe this was a four star meal overall, but I'm not sitting, that Umami Papi was a standout for me, and the reason I now give five stars. read more

Nice, crispy edges on the patties, and I loved how many sesame seeds were on the buns. Great flavor. Cons: The only thing was that they waited for our whole party's order to be ready before calling names, instead of just serving them as they came. This lead to cold burgers. Juicy, well seasoned patties, and a perfect crisp edge. They really know how to compliant their burgers with toppings instead of overpowering them. They know their flavor combos well here. Was at the local farmers market and saw this had a pop-up, with a limited menu, but the gentleman said they have a physical storefront, just a couple blocks away, so I decided to walk over and check out the full menu. It was so cute inside, very casual feeling and attached to the bar next-door, with a swinging western saloon style door to get from one side to the other lol The girl at the counter was super sweet, the menu is pretty stacked with options and I just wanted to play it simple, so I got a double cheeseburger with their special sauce on the side, and I added some grilled onions and tostones. My friends and I stopped in here before a concert at Kia center. It was on the route between where we parked and the stadium. Considering it was a sold out concert we were shocked this restaurant was completely empty - even more so once we tried the food! We each got a different burger and all agreed they were amazing. They were greasy and flavorful. The upgrade to a meal is very reasonable and the helping of fries was generous. The employee was incredibly kind, working with a couple unusual requests for customization (including changing out the beef patty for a chicken patty for one friend with a distaste for red meat). She was enthusiastic and even offered to come around the counter and take a photo of our group. The restaurant is a vibe. So fun and cute! You do have to go through into the bar next door to use the bathroom. There is an interior doorway between the two restaurants, but it's a bit far for a bathroom and a little awkward to have to walk through the bar. read more

Drove 35 minutes to come here because the reviews seemed decent and someone said their vegetarian option was good. Ive never been so disappointed. The regular Papis OG burger was good but not worth coming again. My vegetarian Papis OG burger had 3 tiny slivers of onion, two pickles on one side of the burger and the patty itself was just not good. It had hard pieces of rice in it. I got yuca fries and they tasted slightly under cooked. The garlic sauce was fire though. The crinkle fries could have been cooked just a minute longer as well. After paying $37?? I think that's including a tip, it just wasn't worth it for me. I've 100% have had better. Customer service was fine, nothing amazing. Not super friendly either. The booth seats are absolutely disgusting with crumbs and debris. I wouldn't recommend. read more

The best part about this experience was that we went right when it was about to close (30 mins give or take) and our service was just as good as if it was the middle of a shift. They were so friendly and nice and let us take our time deciding, as it was our first time there. The smash burger TOTALLY hit the spot. Honestly, the employee, a woman (I should have gotten her name) who was working the counter was potentially the best customer service employee I've interacted with in a long time. I love that this place is open late hours. My Smashburger was delicious, my yucca fries were the bomb. I will most definitely be back next time I'm in town. The staff was very friendly and nice, and accommodating. I love the music, literally you could walk over from the dining area and go dancing and get some drinks. Man, I waited to come back here after 2 years and giving it another shot because my first experience wasn't the best. Today, I was in a hurry so I decided to get the OG as a combo with fries and a soda. I got it to go, the guy at the register was very friendly and nice. I got my meal within 10 mins and rushed back up to my office to eat it before my next call. Once again...my burger was burnt. The patty's were charred, the onions were charred, and the buns were charred. Needless to say, I took 2 bites and threw it away. I really wanted to like this spot because the reviews are always good. The best smash burger I've had in all my travels, not just Orlando. I went with a double with just cheese and bacon so I could tell how good the meat was. Let me tell you that it's fantastic. They have I sign that says the burgers are smashed in wagyu tallow. I don't know if that's where the flavor comes from but whatever they are doing it's working. The patties are very thin so next time I'm either getting a triple or two burgers. Very tasty bacon and a soft bun that kind of smashes down as you hold it. Those are the best in my opinion. Fries are very good crinkle cut variety and the shake was also good. Friendly staff and you could get in and out quickly if you're in a hurry as my food came out in just a few minutes. Popped in here for a Smash Burger after a show at the Vanguard and I have to say, it was a great switch up from my typical Taco Bell run. I have never had a smash burger and this being my first experience was honestly pretty solid. The service was quick, the only downside for me would be the pricing. It did seem a little more on the pricey side for the size and options they have, but due to where they are located I'm not too thrown off by the numbers. Will I come here all the time? Solid 3.5/4 Went for a late night, thursday dinner with 3 people. I ordered the Papi Chulo along with my friend. We both enjoyed our burgers but didn't care for the bananas. My friend got the Loco Fries and she enjoyed them and my husband got the Noche En Miami. We split the chulo style fries. The chulo fries were great! No ketchup needed. Surprised the burgers do not come with a drink and fries, everything is separate. So I got a cup of water with my meal. The tables weren't as clean as I would like them to be and I did see one of the workers touch the top of the burger (that was ready on the food window) with their bare hands, to check to see what kind of burger it was before sending it out, i'm assuming... But as someone who works in the food industry, bare hands + cooked food = ick. 1/2 of our food came out quicker than our other 2 meals and my friends were almost completely done before our food came out so I was a little impatient with the timing. Located in downtown Orlando, Papi Smash'd Burger is located down the street from a lot of the bars. It's a small place with a good amount of seats. I came by at night and you could hear the music from the bar next door. You order and pickup at their counter. On the day I came their menu was even more limited than the menu pictures posted online. Not sure why that was, but we got their OG smashburger and the papi loco fries, which were fries topped with everything on their smashburger - two beef patties, pickles, cheese and special sauce. Food came out in about 5-10 minutes. The burgers were good. The sauce and the cheese were great. I will say, I did not like that my buns were a little colder than room temp. Most smashburger places usually toast the buns or at least heat them up. The temperature difference between the buns and the patties just caught me off-guard. I really appreciate their unique burger combinations, infusing Latin flavors into their signature creations. So far, I've really enjoyed Papi's OG burger (2 beef patties, smashed onion, American cheese, sweet heat pickles, martin potato bun, and papi sauce), as well as Papi's Side Chick (24-hr spice brined crispy chicken, hot spice dust, cabbage apple slaw, sweet heat pickles, and roasted red pepper aioli). It's a bit pricey imo -- $15-18 for a burger or sandwich that doesn't come with any fries or side items, but you can add crinkle cut fries for $5. They also have yuca fries as a side option. I've only gone in person once and the wait for the food was a bit long, but these burgers are best enjoyed when they're hot and fresh. I do order them on UberEats occasionally, but the travel time for delivery definitely impacts the quality. I would recommend dining in if you can. read more

She was very patient as we tried to make up our mines for the offerings of the night. Watson and John T went to work once our order went thru in the kitchen. They brought the burgers out and explained what each burger had and what made each one special. They also explained the accompanied sauces and what to dip where. I am rating 3 stars because not everyone in the back is wearing gloves and the person working the front went into the back with no gloves handling the food. I got the Papi Chulo and I gotta say, a caramelized banana on a burger just works the bacon was crispy, the chimchurri was flowing, and I LOVE Martin's Potato rolls. A little pricey for what I would want to spend normally on just the burger, but to make it a combo with fries and drink for cheap, it evens out in the end. The fries were crispy and slightly seasoned so it's worth it to make it a combo. I'll be back to try out other burgers and sides. This place is AWESOME!!! My husband and I came here for lunch because we had something to celebrate. My gosh, we were able to get some tequila shots and QUALITY food for the money. I ordered the OG and my hubby ordered the Big Papi Mac, which tastes like a Big Mac with a tostone in the middle. Drool worthy! I absolutely loved their flavors and their vibe in the restaurant. I told the lady up front I love Drake and she played it for me. My hubby and I were able to demolish our food, take shots and dance in the middle of the day. This place is so good!! Overall the food was pretty good! The burger is a classic smash burger. I didn't realize I needed to ask for the toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc) so it was just the burger. But luckily the beef was cooked so well I didn't even miss the toppings. I'll give it a 9/10. The chicken sandwich was...interesting. When I initially bit into it, I thought it was a frozen chicken patty, only because the texture was weird. Not the taste, but the texture of the chicken itself. The sandwich however tasted really good with the blend of flavors from the slaw, sauce, seasoning and pickles. I'd give this sandwich a 7/10 Ambiance is very pretty and the staff was very friendly. Burger time! Papi smash is the place. They are located on downtown Orlando and it is a great place if you are creving for a hamburger. They have a great variety of beef and chicken burgers with different topppings. Sides and drinks are sold separately. They have a great variety i got the yucca fries which they were delicious. For drinks they have fountain drinks, beer and milkshakes. I try one of my friends milkshake the coquito. It is really good just a little too sweet for my taste. Quite possibly the best smash burgers we've ever eaten. We ordered the OG and the Papi Chulo. The sauces and the Martin's potato bun definitely made the burger. It was so good we ordered more to go. I can't attest to any late-night service, but we went on a Sunday afternoon and even then, they were busy. The interior decor is fun and definitely worth posting on your social media. The place isn't too big but the way the tables and chairs are laid out, people were taking up more space than they needed to, so seating seemed limited.
