I must have gotten lucky judging by all the naysayers' reviews of this Mickey D's on Cottman Avenue at Roosevelt Blvd., in N.E. Philly. But, rather than being disappointed by its performance, we were actually pleasantly surprised by how good their food and service were. We were in a rush to return home after a large shopping excursion to the Asian supermarket nearby, and opted for rapid food from the only drive through in sight. We ordered a quarter pounder w cheese, chicken nuggets, fries and drink, took possession within minutes, and continued our drive home to Bucks County. We immediately noticed the heat coming off the fries In the open top paper sack. First sampling was of perfectly done Frenchies - hot, crisp and addicting. The burger was also just off the steel and settling nicely onto the bun. It reached my mouth in optimal condition, with even the onions soft and translucent and the pickle stuck to the cheese so it couldn't fall out. It was like the dream burger from the adverts, except this baby was for real. Once in a lifetime! Naturally, it wasn't all ideal, as the nuggets had a processed food texture. I knew I was awake. Experience was like 5 years ago I ordered from this location on Uber eats and ordered a shamrock shake not knowing it wasn't in season plus I ordered 2 milkshakes with my meals and when my food came I was missing a milkshake and the shamrock shake I called and they said that the shamrock was not in season and I said what about the other milkshake I asked if they could just refund me for the shamrock and send another driver for my milkshake and he said I'm sorry and hung up 2nd experience was yesterday me my daughter and wife went through the drive through and ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and some other items, when it was time to pay for the food the person ask me did I order the crispy chicken sandwich and I said yes and they end up charging me for the wrong order so I had to wait until the manager came to refund me instead they kept trying to charge my card took more money then they should have and she gave me my card and said it kept declining but when I checked my statements it took $30 total and I had to drive off with no food plus the manager was very rude I overheard her yelling that she had to refund me will never eat here again read more

As an Uber driver McDonalds is my go to lunch stop. On Sunday pulled into this McDonalds for a quick lunch. First thing I noticed the place had about 3 customers in it at 12:30 PM. I turned to use the men's room and a Janitor mopping the section told me the section was closed. I told him only wanted to use the restroom. He got indignant and said this section is closed. He had an exit door propped open right next to the men's room. I asked him if I walked outside and came in that door would it be okay. NO!! I just cleaned in there. Then an employee walked by me and went in the ladies room. He says she is allowed because she works there. That's when I blew up and told him off. He was only keeping me out because I was white. I came to this location 4 times this week to purchase shamrock shakes for my kids Three days in a row the machine was down, Finally on the fourth it worked but did it? But when I got home and took off the top part of the bun to add ketchup, what did I find? Pickles and onions! I was so pissed off, because I hate almost every kind of food. Everything has to be plain for me. Even after I removed the pickles and onions, the burger still tasted like pickles and onions. This isn't the first time I had this problem. Once it happened at the McDonald's at Castor and Glenwood, but at this McDonald's, it's happened during at least half my trips there. Did you notice that I gave this place two stars instead of one? That's because I also bought a $1 ice cream cone, which had more ice cream than a $1.25 cone from Mr. Softee. The ice cream and the french fries are good, believe it or not. WORST! (Drake Voice) Came here at 3am on a Saturday night and waited for over 45 minutes for food. The car in front of us waited forever as well with no communication from staff. My wife and I once went in the McDonalds at 2nd & Lehigh. The cop stationed by the door there thought we looked out of place and warned us to be careful, eat, leave, The McDonalds at Cottman & the Boulevard is FAR worse. It is a filthy, foul smelling pig sty. Service by the semi-literate school children behind the counter (no competent management in sight) was terrible and slow. The real shocker is that the dirty, out- dated dining area seems to double as a day room for what appear to be about a dozen mentally ill and drug addicted homeless people. There was a young man in a corner booth talking and laughing loudly to himself and another gentlemen that appeared to be picking lice out of his head.
