Making reservations on open table as quick and efficient. When we arrived, our tables put together and ready for us and we were sat immediately. A decent menu with good variety and fair pricing. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My husband had the stacked turkey club sandwich and he thought it was delicious. I had the tuna poke nachos and the tuna was very good but the wonton nacho chips were stale tasting. I don't know if they were just left out for too long or if they were over fried, but that would be my only complaint. We chose to dine outside and watch the beautiful sunset with the cool breeze, brushing our faces while we sipped on our cocktails and enjoyed lively discussion. Since we had ordered simple appetizers like chips and queso and ceviche, it was a little disappointing that they weren't served first. When I asked about it, I was told the kitchen was backed up. Our server was pleasant, but she wasn't very attentive throughout the meal. There were a few times we had to get up and find her just to get drink refills or an update on our food. I completely understand that restaurants can have off days, and even the people I was dining with--who visit often and usually rave about this place--mentioned that this experience was out of the ordinary. As for the food, the ceviche wasn't my favorite, and my shrimp tacos were a bit over-fried. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially considering how highly the restaurant had been recommended. Placed my order, grabbed a table in the clean dining room, and waited for my food to be delivered to my table. It took about 10 minutes to get my order which was served by another helpful and friendly employee. Product quality from this location was a disappointment and not up to the quality I'm used to getting while dinging at other Culver's locations. I ordered my usual, the Culver's Deluxe Combo made with double beef patties and topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onion and their signature mayo on a lightly buttered, toasted bun. The burger which looked amazing was not good. The burger buns and burger patties were cold, dry, and flavorless. The only thing that stood out and tasted good on this burger was the fresh burger toppings. The crinkled cut fries were also HOT, plentiful, and delicious. We asked her several questions and she knew the answers to everything. We ended up ordering an app and an entree each. She warned us that the oysters were hand shucked and might take a bit longer. No problem. We didn't mind when they came out. After 30 minutes, my husband's clam chowder finally arrived. It was delicious, but there was no reason for a cup of chowder to take 30 minutes. Chowder has to be made in advance. Thirty minutes after that, so an hour after we originally ordered, someone (the owner? another server? I don't know who.) said our food would be up soon. Our original server then came over to apologize and say that they hadn't even started our oysters, crab legs, or the Grouper platter at all. An hour later and they hadn't even started cooking?! It wasn't even that crowded. Surely shucking a dozen oysters doesn't take an hour?! We asked our server to cancel everything. We paid for the chowder, gave her a very generous tip for her trouble, and left. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to have to leave hungry. Get it together Crab Shack! That's ridiculous.
