Usually, chains like this skimp on the meat, but not this time. We grabbed sandwiches yesterday and were pleasantly surprised--they were packed with meat and tasted really good. We recently started going here for our subs and while the few we have had were good I am disappointed that twice I have ordered the same sub and both times asked for no mayo and both times got mayo. I feel like it I you will have it our way instead of my way. Unfortunately you don't know until you get it home and not going back. Every thing was delicious. We had it delivered and the service was quick and fresh. No ambience since we had it delivered.

Sub was done quickly, correctly and warm. Music was appropriate for everyone. A young man was sweeping the floors while I was there, which is a good thing, except he made sure he slid, dropped, bumped and banged all of those metal chairs and tables that were within his reach. This was not very conducive to a pleasant dining experience. THE VERY BEST BROWNIE IN THE WORLD! I did not want it to stop! My Mom's, God rest her soul, were the best until I ate this one. Asked about my order (2 sandwiches) at the 20 minute mark and was told it would be 10 more minutes. I love an Italian sub, and Firehouse has my absolute favorite. They don't have a ton of toppings, but you really don't need it because the sub has so much flavor already. I always get their wheat bread, it's tasty. No matter what deli meat you choose, it is always moist. Many other chain sub shops have dry lunch meat. That's what makes Firehouse standout in my opinion. If you have room for a sweet snack, their chocolate chip cookies are delicious! read more

I haven't been in awhile and my last visit was definitely my LAST visit. They have incredibly rude employees who act like you are invisible. I must have stood at the register for a good 2 minutes while the employees finished their conversation. The gentleman with the glasses was the only one concerned with actually trying to help customers. The shorter-haired mouthy girl making sandwiches needs to calm down and relax. She has a very poor attitude and you can tell that it sets the tone for everyone else. The order I was given was incorrect, the food was poorly made, and the customer service is a joke. I am underwhelmed by my experience here at Firehouse. I entered and when normally the staff shouts welcome, it quiet. Not that I need fanfare, but if that is the business' welcoming, then it should be done everytime (ok off the soapbox). I asked about a few menu items and got stale answers from the young man at the register. I ordered my medium sub, and he just gives me a blank look and asks, "Is that it?" I'm sorry, I was giving you a chance to type that in. He never tried to upsell me, he was over it. I got a drink and bag of chips and my total was just shy of $11. So the young lady starts to make the sub, and a known person to the staff comes in and everything stops and everyone of the staff congregate to this person. I'm being selfish, but I'm on my lunch break and you all have received my $11 for the food. Please make it so I can go back to work... Ugh...I could have ran to the border, gone to where they got the meat, seen the little red headed girl or should have gone to Publix for better tasting food and service. I ordered a tuna sub from them. I had one prior from a Firehouse Subs location in Countryside and enjoyed it so wanted another one. I was disappointed. The tuna was nothing like my prior experience and had very little flavor and was sparse considering the $12 price tax for a 12" sandwich. The staff was friendly and efficient and I can't speak to how the other sandwiches are but in my opinion I wouldn't get the tuna sandwich again from here. read more

Stopped at Firehouse Subs tonight to grab something to go. I've tried the Italian subs a couple times and while I do like them, tonight on the drive up I told myself to try something different. I pull in to the parking lot and there is a sign in front of the restaurant saying try our new spicy Cajun chicken sub! Well problem solved! I ordered the large spicy Cajun chicken sub and not more than 5 minutes later a cute red head girl brings it to my table and tells me she made it with love. I take the sub up to Sonja's and dive in. The sandwich is great! Chicken is moist and tender. The flavor combinations are delicious. I would definitely order this again and again. read more

They messed my order up. Had to drive 20 minutes back to the restaurant then 20 minutes back home and no apology, pretty rude about it actually. Mistakes happen but not acknowledging the mistake and no apology when you just paid $50 for three subs is pretty insulting. I'll just go to Jersey Mikes next time. read more

Update: it is so relieving to see that an owner contacts customers and does what's right. I revisited them and I have to say that's it's THE SUB PLACE. Nothing else compares. Everything is clean, definitely no bugs, and you can now purchase their hot sauces they've collected from around the country. Amazing. Stars upgraded because their food is awesome and so is their owner/management. Change is always a good thing and I look forward to what comes next from FireHouse Subs! Okay, I have been loving all of their subs since they opened. My god they're good however, about 9 months ago I started noticing a few things: BUGS, NATS, FLIES, DIRTY TABLES. The subs are made fresh to order and you can watch if you like however it's normal to order and sit down and wait. The food is great but with the lack of attention given to the cleanliness of the floors, bathrooms and especially the tables (ALWAYS DIRTY AND I ALWAYS HAVE TO CLEAN MY OWN TABLE) I naturally put two and two together (bugs and dirty everything) and can't help but wonder...what's going on to create the bugs that I can't see??? Normally flies like this are, in Florida anyway, derived from bacteria. They're called drain, or sink, flies. They have the most success breeding in bathrooms and kitchens. Bathrooms especially because the eggs are spawned from the poo and pee that is there, or has been there, and then remains there...which is used as a breeding ground. Unless properly cleaned the flying bugs will continue to be present. I can't remember the last time I ate there, and I usually visit 2-4 times per week, when I haven't had to continuously seat these bugs away from me. Now, I visited today and it was the last straw for me hence the review. The table was dirty so I cleaned it as usual and the employees watched, smiling of course as they had some kind of a BS meeting with an older man that appeared to work there. I've seen this dozens of times and at lunch time, between 11-1:00 usually. I then waited for my order and noticed my foot was in a pile of sauce, at least I hope it was sauce. Next, after claiming my table, I went to fill my soda and boom...these flying bugs again. They were really bad today and guess what's next to the soda machine in the back? The bathrooms. Putting all of this together I just wasn't hungry anymore. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the place is in need of a professional cleaning and management needs coaching or replacing to correct the lack of continuous maintenance once the bugs are gone. I have a feeling it's independently owned and operated which is sad because the lack of pride is really showing. Ownership is way too comfortable to see what's right in front of them. This could all go away and be improved quite easily but it's been happening for quite some time as I mentioned. Unfortunately, as addicted as I am to their subs and hot sauces (#9 hot is where it's at!) I can't go back until they literally clean up their operation. I may report the situation to the county health officials to hopefully get them to act on the situation. Hopefully this review is seen and something is done. These bugs are dirty and have a breeding source. It can be in the drains, toilets, sinks...you name it. But they all need to be cleaned, treated, cleaned and treated again and then they should reopen the doors. These flies can live up to 20 days however they will die and be gone as long as the breeding ground/source is destroyed. Bleach won't do it either, they need professional bug spray and treatment. I hope I'm not wrong because that means these pests are coming from other dirty conditions such as the actual food they're using, that we eat, either in their storage or from their preparation area(s). It's getting pretty scary in there and today out me over the top. Meetings should also be held after hours. No need to take up the entire front section of the small restaurant so one man/manager can eat while all the girls come and meet with him at one time quickly then individually come back to him to speak their minds about what's wrong, who is wrong, what's going on...all of that. Doesn't appear that it's anyone's fault but the place is dangerous. No more bugs for me until they clean up their restaurant, FULLY. I hope this is seen with good intentions. The people are harder to change than the bugs but if you guys start with the bugs, implement a plan to keep the bugs from happening, and stick with it I'll be back. I can deal with the damn meetings. The subs are that good. I just don't eat bugs. read more

First time here. Ordered an Italian sub with extra onions. Take out. By the time I arrived home the mushy sub was soggy. Being from NJ, I have never had a sub that was heated.Except a meatball one. No extra onion. The only evidence of cheese was indistinguishable from the gob of mayo on the roll. My wife and I split it and am sorry to say we both had "the green apple trots" next day. Can't wait till Jersey Mikes opens later this month across the street. They know how to make a proper sub. The only Reason I posted one star is because it will not let me post without 1 if I had my choice this place would have negative a 100 stars it is the crapiest sub place I've ever eaten in my 53 years of life I ordered an Italian sub, was nothing of the sort. I'm from Chicago and deftly have never heard of honey ham and sweetness on an Italian sub, their bread is the lousiest bread and they are so overpriced I actually asked for a refund through a long email to the company withOUT a reply, they were more than happy to take my 20 something dollars when all I did was take 1 bite spit it out and throw 2 subs in the garbage. No wonder they always have people spinning signs maybe if they inprove their ingredients as well as their customer service they might succeed I don't see this place sticking around for too much longer, would not recommend it I'd rather definitely eat Subway 100 times tastier!!!! read more
