The desserts at this location have been unavailable for a few weeks. When I went to check once again I saw the milkshakes were on the menu. I got my milkshake from the little station inside the store. I went to thank the workers and (with a good attitude) mentioned that I noticed it has been a bit since the ice cream was available. And politely asked what happened. It was a group of three. Two teenage boys and one adult female. One of the boys started saying really strange things. I couldn't understand all the gibberish but I caught things like "because the 6 7" "chevrons in Texas" and I'm not sure what else. I was confused and asked what he was talking about. I assumed he'd stop being weird if he saw I didn't vibe with what he was doing. He doubled down and kept talking about random things. I told him that he was being weird and I left. But like. I'm NOT a high maintenance customer! I haven't been INSIDE a McDonald's in yearssssss. Who knew they now have fancy kiosks, so that you're able to place your own order? Not me. I saw the kiosk and I also saw the register, so I thought kiosks ordering was optional?!? I don't have an issue with the kiosks I have an issue with the staff/customer service. We were a little annoyed that workers actually looked at us and kept working. First world problems, but still! While there are signs, they are not at eye level. It's not rocket science, I figured it out. The young lady begrudgingly took my order (overcharged me, might I add). I called her on it, but decided to let it slide. The first time was in 2022 when I was 7 months pregnant, and the second was on March 5, 2026. Same issue both times. If something as basic as fries isn't fresh, it really makes me question the overall quality and freshness of the rest of the food. If I'm going to a McDonald's it's typically for ice-cream, or coffee. This was a quick road stop for food before heading home. The location is off I540 with signage to exit. The store is combined in a building with a large BP fueling station. Parking was adequate and lot clear of debris. The restaurant is self sustained and takes up about 50% of the building. Drive-thru is offered. They have their own restrooms by the counter which I found clean with supplies. During my Sunday afternoon visit the dining room was also clean. No other customers were present and every table was clear and clean. Much to my pleasure they do not offer self checkout kiosk. The clerk made eye contact during the order, but no smiles. The order a quarter pounder combo and a four nugget combo with a M&M McFlurry. The counter was clean. The self serve drink station had some debris from straw wrappers. Overall pretty clean and carbonated drinks good. I like that they have pump ketchup and darn if it even dispensed. My number was called out and in than 10 minutes. The order was correct. The food was hot. Everything was tasty, but in my opinion fries over seasoned. My daughter disagreed. I noticed the staffer who assisted my daughter and I cleaned tables when there were no customers. Wow! No sweeping and no mopping by I was impressed. One thing that was ignored was the front trash container which was full. Overall a really great Micky D stop. Fast food is a very tough business to manage what is basically a revolving door for employees who mostly use the position as a stepping stone to another job they want, or as a way to get flexible hours while in school. With that said, the manager, whom I've met, seems to keep her core employees happy enough to stay for longer than the statistical 1.9 years for fast food tenure. With the challenges of the COVID restrictions, this location has kept up the good service and has someone cleaning tables frequently once the crowds settle down. Most of the folks seem happy and some even eager to do their part. I've even had my order waiting for me before the kiosk prints off the receipt! Being a repeat customer has its advantages :-) I typically order iced tea which has been consistent in taste throughout the years. I've also ordered, on occasion, an item from the app specials and have never been disappointed. For a fast food place with lots of traffic during those rush hour times, they do a pretty good job of getting people in and out. I go through the drive-through wanting UNsweet tea. My husband or I will taste it before we leave the window (learned they reach for sweet no matter what the order says). Many times they refill the unsweet container with sweet, so the result is a nasty half & half. When you tell the it isn't right they argue that it came from the container with the right label. This McD Donald's do not give hot food most of my visit. I will not go back here anymore. The fries are never hot fresh when I buy them. Once I get home the fries seems as if they are hot on the top and as you eat the rest, they are hard and not just freshly cooked. The chicken nuggets I bought are never fresh also seems as if they are giving me nuggets that has sat out all day. I also got a mc double and that was folded in half on the bun cheese running off the meat it was terrible. So, through that away because I wasn't sure if something happen to it are not. Two things that annoy me when I "walk into" a restaurant. Dirty tables and to go bags. My biggest pet peeve is having 10 tables to choose from and not ONE of them has been cleaned off. Maybe the condition of the tables is indicative of the pigs that work there, but seriously. This place normally keeps the tables clean so they get kudos for that. Secondly, If I'm a "walk in" and I say for here, then you give me a bag and no tray, I will most certainly assume you want and need to clean the tables. Don't assume when I say "for here" that I don't want a tray. If you fail to provide me a tray and give me a bag because you don't like cleaning trays, maybe you like cleaning tables better. I always leave the mess on the table. No, I don't consider the bag as a convenient trash receptacle for my dining in experience. The line servers or the cashiers need to start getting this right. You may always assume, if I say for here, I want a tray, not a bag. In fact everywhere I go for fast food, if you give me a bag after I say for here, your guaranteed to have a mess at the table. This industry is NOT rocket science. Start thinking. I know owners are challenged for good help these days. But at least put a trainer in as a manager and don't just teach the superficial elements of the job. Start looking at your service from the customer's perspective. Stop being lazy or expect me to respond in the same manner in which I'm expected to experience. read more

First time here in the morning. This place is the definition of fast food. Had my order ready in seconds when I walked in. Eveyone is very polite and active. Location is super clean. Saw other reviews saying the opposite but they have must came when the foreign ladies weren't here. I came in the morning and staff was quick with the order, something I haven't experienced in a fast food restaurant in so long. Got my order right and with napkins the first time. While I ate, I was looking at other customers who decided to walk in instead of drive thru get their orders instantly too. Other locations always with an attitude even when they're wrong. Big ups to this location. Wish other locations could learn something from here. PLUS they get triple the work as it's connected to a gas station, has shopping center right next to it, and an interstate with lots of flowing traffic on top of being super close to big communities. A manager from another store compensated us with coupons in the mail. Later, when we attempted to use our coupons at the Leesville store, we were told they were no good. I just cannot understand for the life of me why the drive thru can not ever get an order correct. I usually order coffee with 4 splenda.
