Scrambled eggs with cheese and turkey sausage
Kellie D.

Bright spot (think it used to be Steak and Shake) in the parking lot of a shopping center. You order at the counter. I was trying to order from a section of the menu which I guess could be a sandwich or a platter. The difference wasn't clearly stated, nor were prices. I asked the cashier and she basically said the platter just didn't include bread. I didn't want to hold the line up so didn't ask many questions. Since I'm gluten free I just went with scrambled eggs with cheddar and some turkey sausage. Not sure if pricing was pure item or what, but the price was reasonable. Decent size-- three scrambled eggs with generous cheese -- and I did like the turkey sausage. Overall a quick spot to grab breakfast with friends.

For a coffee that's close by, this was wonderful! I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. For lunch, I got the fight club sandwich add avocado. Maple bacon spread + Mayo was divine. It was HUGE too. For a side I tried the Asian coleslaw and it was pretty good. Very peanuty. Service and staff were kind

Breakfast sandwich and lattes

I really enjoyed New World Cafe the few times I've been in the area! I love their seasonal flavors - particularly their Maple Spice latte in the fall. It was so smooth and flavorful. The cafe itself was a small space, but had a few seats and couches inside. Their breakfast sandwiches were also delicious. I'd definitely recommend stopping by for some coffee and snacks!

Bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with avocado, lettuce and tomato.

I used to stop by here a lot when I was local. Then I moved. My wife recently "discovered" this cafe/coffee shop and insisted we stop by. Coffee was very good, service friendly and helpful, and the breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg, cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato with a very good aioli was fabulous. See photo. We lucked out that it was Thanksgiving weekend and surprisingly quiet. Very good.

My husband has been here without me a few times, but due to my 9-5 job I hadn't had a chance to visit. That changed this past week when I took a half day and went to their new spot by the Duraleigh Library. 10 out of 10 ! My turkey sandwich was fantastic, the spread they added was amazing. My husband had a lovely salad as well. HIGHLY recommend and now I want to go back for breakfast.

Norwegian pancakes and eggs and bacon

Family had Norwegian pancakes! So good the and favorite for both children was peanut butter and chocolate. Number 2 was Nutella and bananas.

Croissant sandwich with flat white coffee

I love coming to this place. The food is good quality, the service is always lovely, and the restaurant is well maintained. And of course the coffee is the best!

A Macaroons avocado toast and a water

We worded a few thing and it turned out to be $30.00. The food was ok but it was huge and it was $16.00 for 1 pease of avocado toast. The vibe was good every one was nice but there was no uniform.

Exquisite coffee drinks in a fresh, new and inviting space. Their cappuccinos are the penultimate happy start to a morning. And now much easier parking, though I'm eager to use the drive-thru to pickup my online order on the way to work.

Counter Culture coffee selection is great. Has lots of options and some yummy sandwich choices including a black bean burger or black bean salad for veg options. Cortado was excellent.

B,E&C sourdough :) They also offer breakfast sandwiches on croissants, english muffins, bagels, and gluten free options too!

Great service, everyone was so sweet & the variety of food options & coffee flavors was really impressive! I'm so glad I decided to stop in here & will definitely be back :)

Ouch, I really hate leaving two-star reviews but I have to be honest. I was excited to try New World Cafe since I just relocated and I saw it that it was nearby me on Yelp. Since there were so many positive reviews, I decided to check them out but frankly I was very disappointed. I ordered my lunch online and opted for curbside pick up. The ordering and picking up went smoothly and weren't the issue. My main issue was with the food. It was disappointing to pay over $11 and $12 for two sandwiches that were as small and sad as these were. I ordered the Return of the Turkey, Swiss & Avocado which has turkey, swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato and pesto on sourdough with potato salad. My boyfriend ordered the Fight Club which has turkey, ham, maple bacon spread, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese on a croissant with bagged kettle chips. To start, the Fight Club didn't even have ham on it! The sandwiches were pathetically small... only 1-2 small slices of tomato and the 3 tiniest pieces of avocado were on my sandwich. Definitely not worth the price, in my opinion. Besides our mediocre meals, I ordered and iced Heath Mocha which was just ok. It was around $6.00 for a 20 oz which is reasonable but I don't know if I would order this again. Overall, I am not impressed but may be willing to give them a second chance sometime in the future and I will update my review as soon as I do. Meh!

It's not a place to walk in and order a latte to go. it took over fifteen minutes for one drink. And there were 4-5 people working.

Needed a more quiet space to get some work done for about an hour, but once a table opened up the table next to it had some loud talkers and it was not conducive to focused work. The staff is nice and helpful. They seem to always have a smile! The coffee is great. Always fresh. The bakery items are good too! I have tried about half of their regular fare and they never disappoint. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is it seems some people camp out there to get work done for hours on end. It makes those of us who want to just get out of a normal office setting to enjoy some coffee and a snack have a hard time finding a spot. Other than that, love the casual vibe and change of pace.

They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! Of the many cakes they offer online I finally decided on the Mango Mojito cake!. I wanted something diffrrent. They asked what I wanted written and I said a capital letter "D" the Leo Symbol and a "crown" (since Leo's are kings/queens) They said the crown would be an additional charge, no problem. they asked if I wanted green or white frosting and I asked if blue could be done, and I didn't care what shade of blue. They asked if I wanted any accent colors/decoration on the cake and I said I don't care, I'll leave that up to you just make it nice. I was thinking the cake decorator would get creative fancy or something, especially since I was open to the design/color, it was for a birthday, and already paying extra for a "crown" TBH I would have paid whatever it took for a really nice cake. The taste wasn't bad. I was expecting a slightly bolder flavor especially with a name like "Mango Mojito" cake but nothing stood out. There were some random bursts of mango. It tasted better cold/chilled but as it got warmer the flavors just kinda blended together. The cake did have a nice texture. It was done on time! Customer service was top notch. This was my first cake in North Carolina so I dont know how cakes are done here and have no other NC bakery to compare it to. Maybe decorating isn't their forté... I just wanted a nice cake for my bday party to celebrate in style!

All this is child's play compared to the drinks. I was hoping they would redeem the experience. I was rooting for you, iris coffee lab. The matcha left me wanting more. I couldn't taste even a whisper of matcha flavoring, and the price was laughable for a glass of green milk. When my flat white arrived, I felt that twinkle return to my eye. Sadly, about 3 sips later, as I neared the end of my beverage I was shocked to discover a texture component I was not expecting. After a lot of contemplation, I have decided I am not a fan of coffee grounds swirling around my mouth. The customers are hip and trendy, the employees exceedingly friendly and speedy, the drinks bespoke and innovative, but I think we need to cut out the frills and go back to the basics. Why play 3D chess when you've yet to master tic tac toe? I think the experience was net neutral, but for how steep the pricing is, I feel it's my duty to let the world know what they're getting into.
