My husband and I came here before a show next door. We wanted a quick dinner because we'd prefer to use our "two item minimum" for drinks at the comedy club. I can't believe how expensive Shake Shack has gotten! $13 for a cheeseburger is crazy. We ended up ordering a mango mini boba drink and cheese fries to share. There's very little customer to employee interaction here since you order on one of the kiosks when you walk in. They did bring our fries and drink out and the employee was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and tidy and employees were cleaning throughout the short time we stayed. The drink and cheese fries were good; it was a decent snack before a fun night out. When we were leaving, I saw a sign that said employees are paid $15/hour and it made more sense why the prices were higher and it made me appreciate this location more knowing they're not paying the ridiculously low N.C. minimum wage. I will definitely be back.

I'm happy there isn't a shake shack close to me or I'd be trading pounds for dollars. The food is always great. I've never had a bad experience when it comes to my order or food quality which is why I keep coming back! The service is almost nonexistent in recent years now that they've moved to ordering at the kiosk. The only interaction you get with staff is when they drop off your food and even that's pretty minimal. That combined with the prices are the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. Don't get me wrong it's great food, but you can easily find better burgers and milkshakes for cheaper.

Good and greasy. I got the Shake Stack double, added bacon with fries and a large sweet tea. One of the best burgers I ever had! Only negative is the cost ($23 for this), but I won't remove a star for that. Just go on your payday, you'll be fine, it's worth it, 5 stars.

Great service! I made friends with half of the staff. Food was good but the chicken had too much batter. Drinks are great here! Price point is a little high.

I'm a Shake Shack fan and this was my first visit to the Village District location. I went on a weeknight and it wasn't very busy. I placed my order online ahead of time and while it was a few minutes late, it was hot and correct. My family and I ended up eating outside on one of their sidewalk tables. They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating while we were there. My son loved the bacon and avocado cheeseburger, while I always opt for the traditional Shack burger. Sometimes simple is just the best! I like their fries, I don't love them. I also do thoroughly enjoy their shakes and love how they have different special flavors every month. Overall a solid spot to grab a burger and order online if you are hoping to cut down on some of the wait!

I went last week. Erica & Tre are phenomenal employees. The entire staff was wonderful. Tre assisted me with my gift card. And Erica assisted me with my order. The restaurant was very clean. The wait time was not long. The food was fresh and hot. My chicken bites were flavorful and my fries were nice & crispy. I also tried the Cherry Blossom Milkshake. It was good. Plenty of seating. Parking is in the front but may be hectic on Friday and Saturday nights. Their veggie burgers & chicken sandwiches are also delicious. I don't eat beef or pork, but my family loves their burgers and BLTs. KUDOS to them!!!

Very pleasant and personable staff. Fairly fast service. It was my first visit to a Shake Shack and a staff member helped me place my order at the kiosk. I love the shopping district there and was looking for a kid-friendly place to dine after shopping at the nearby Barnes and Noble. I ordered the single-patty cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and pickle along with a 50/50 Lemonade and Organic Tea. The cheeseburger was delicious and I would absolutely order it again. Hard pass on the crinkle fries for me because they tasted like something from the frozen aisle in the grocery store - nothing special. My daughter liked her hot dog and the frozen hot cocoa shake. Will visit again for sure.

Let me start by saying I am not a burger lover, but I had to go here for a team lunch. Place was clean and bright and had four kiosks to easily place your order. I began my order, planning on ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. I was pleased to see that they had gluten free buns. Alas, they did not have grilled chicken. I decided to order the veggie burger. However, I couldn't find the option for a gluten free bun anywhere! Finally, I just selected the lettuce wrap. When my burger came out my whole team burst out laughing. It looked a huge head of leafy green lettuce. You couldn't even see the burger. To be fair it was a gorgeous head of lettuce, not that wimpy iceberg stuff. I munched through my lettuce until I found my burger which was average. I should have ordered crinkle cut fries -- they looked really good.

The latest Shake Shack in the Triangle is now open and offering great smash burgers, fries, and more! I dropped in during opening week and while this store is a bit smaller than the Cary or Chapel Hill locations, it's pretty convenient to me and glad to have it here. Order at one of the kiosks up front (there are table numbers/stands next to kiosk) or do it the old fashioned way at the register. The food is cooked to order and will take 10 minutes or so and is brought to your table. There's a condiment station and napkins that you can grab while you wait for your food. I did the standard Shack Burger and splurged with a cinnamon roll shake which was creamy and dense, it held up well even as it warmed up. And the burger is as good as usual, the quality of Shake Shack ingredients stand out and they are exacting with what comes out of the kitchen. Overall it's a solid location but just smaller given how expensive real estate is in this neighborhood...

Tonight I went with Carolina Crunch which has their Honey Salted Caramel ice cream mixed with Heath bars and Butterfinger. They use a lot of local ingredients here and this ice cream was made with honey from Mike's Bees in Raleigh. My wife had the banana pudding ice cream and it was excellent as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors here. Very creamy with a silky texture. This is better than the vast majority of places you'll go to for ice cream. Service was very friendly and patient as my family practically sampled every flavor on the menu. Lots of outdoor seating here which was perfect on a comfortable, moderately cool summer night. While the shop itself is small -- offering no indoor seating, though there are a couple small tables outside (and you can always just walk around in Cameron village -- the ice cream is expansive in both options and the flavor it packs. With a mix of classics and more unique flavor options, I have never once tried an option I did not truly enjoy, if anything they have often been amongst the best of that flavor I have even ever had. The ice cream is just so good, the texture, creaminess, and flavor profiles all incredibly well balanced. The shop itself is clean, well decorated, and inviting with a semblance to what you'd expect and desire from a classic ice cream shop. They even pay attention to the details, like using these fun metal spoons for tasting (highly suggested) instead of the typical flimsy plastic or wooden ones common in other shops, which are available for purchase. The staff was friendly, service was efficient. There is also some cool merch which is fun if you're into that stuff. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of their naming scheme for the options, instead of just having a single, double, or more straightforward menu options, they have names like "standard" which is actually 2 "half scoops" (quotes cause they're just small scoops), and then a single which is a single full scoop, or a trio which is 3 half scoops not full scoops, just overall a tad confusing and not straightforward in how much ice cream you are actually getting, though it does allow one to get multiple flavors more easily I guess? The prices are definitely leaning on the higher side, especially for pints, but I feel that is to be expected of "gourmet" ice cream shops, especially nowadays. Overall, I highly recommend for any and all ice cream lvoers, and will absolutely be returning myself.
