The line was long, but it moved quickly! There's plenty of seating inside and outside, and they'll bring your order right to you. I ordered the Jeanne Capp (delicious!) and it had a great ratio of espresso to milk with subtle sweetness. To eat, I had the Avo + Heirloom toast, which was the perfect savory bite for breakfast! Came with a friend on a Tuesday morning to enjoy breakfast together. The perfect spot to do so. Since they've built their outdoor space, it is my favorite spot to sit during the spring and summer. This time I got their seasonal coconut latte - delightful, as always. Fod food I grabbed their Staff Eggwhich (truly, one of my favorite breakfast foods) and topped it off with an order of the espresso donuts to share. Still a very solid coffee shop. The breakfast always hits the spot. As for my cappuccino,it's pleasing, the staff mentioned that they can't heat it over 160 degrees though I am willing to make a bet they bring it out at barely 120. Not sure why they can't get the temperature right. The coffee is great here but no way is it made at the ideal temperature. Coffee is my love language, I know for sure it's the wrong temp. I always see loads of cars in their parking lot so I had to try this place out. My wife as nd I stopped by on a Friday morning at as bout 8:30 and this place was hopping busy. They specialize in made to order coffee drinks and have a nice food menu as well. When you get here you better know what you want by the time you get to the counter or there might be a revolt. This is such a cute café, and I loved getting to know a little background about it while I visited. I love the fact that they host an annual 5K to support research for ALS. I got the jammy egg toast which had the perfect amount of spice, and honestly left me fuller than I expected. The espresso mini donuts were heavenly. I loved the protein bowl- generous portion and a lot going on- I only wish they'd replaced the raw red onions with pickled onions because who needs that much raw onion? My friend loved her veggie sandwich, which included the aforementioned pickled onions. The blueberry hibiscus tea was nice but a little boring (a too much ice). The color of my iced latte really threw me off at first because it was so light but the coffee still tasted great. I got the maple cinnamon iced latte, per the barista's recommendation since it's the most popular drink, and it had a good balance of flavor and espresso. I was shocked by the small amount of ice that it came with since I didn't request it, which is not a complaint at all because that means more to drink! I also tried some of the lavender latte, a seasonal special, and it had great floral notes that complemented the espresso. I prefer mine on the Everything Bagel Next, I love the early grey black tea and seasonal lattes. The flat white coffee was delicious too Sola is the perfect spot to enjoy brunch with your friends or work from home spot. They have great sunny outside space and during the cold months, they have a heated, covered patio. The staff are always super friendly when asking for recommendations! The bring your food to the table which is convenient and you pick up your drinks at the counter. It had been a long time since I visited this place, so my husband and I decided to go on NYE. We came right before 11 am, which is when they start switching to lunch. However, we were already in line, so we were able to order breakfast. The line was out the door. There isn't a lot of room to line up inside. I feel like they need a bigger location because it is packed in there, and the tables are quite close together. I got the iced eggnog latte, a side of sausage, and the Nutella and banana toast. Everything was really good. My husband and I also split some mini cinnamon sugar donuts holes. They're quite small but tasty. The staff kept coming around to pick up plates we were done with, and I would prefer to just take them all when we're done to the dishes area. Usually I've had good experiences with sola, but I was quite disappointed today. I had my boyfriend pick up some breakfast this morning and I requested the Gonza sandwich but with cheddar instead of pepper jack cheese because that's just my preference. He told me the woman at the counter said they can't sub cheese but it wouldn't be a problem because pepper jack isn't spicy. Well I got the sandwich and after two bites, I was sweating and my mouth was burning profusely from the salsa on the sandwich. No where on the menu does it allude to this being a spicy dish. I don't mind spice, but this was intense. I genuinely couldn't eat it and had to throw the whole thing away. I just think it's interesting that the lady said to not worry about the spice in the cheese but didn't mention the salsa. The sandwich was also very very small and I wasn't expecting that. There are other things sola is good for so I don't want to say it isn't worth going to, but I was quite upset about this experience. read more

That certainly was the case on this Saturday. It's a cute little place but pretty tight for dining with small simple tables near the entrance and lots of tables outside. The main area is pretty packed with the counter and kitchen. The food is very good and fresh and is served relatively quick considering the crowd at the time. The interesting menu item called Peach Turkey was actually a good combination! The Chicken & Pesto was tasty as well but the garlic aioli overpowered the pesto so the expected taste was not there. I had a coffee and the mini garden veggie omelet, which had pepperjack cheese, roasted tomatoes, peppers, and arugula. It was the perfect size for a light breakfast. The coffee was good and I love how it was served out of a diner-style mug. We also shared the mini donut holes. We opted for the espresso flavor, which was fantastic. SO GOOD. They have amazing coffee (i think it's counterculture, which is the best coffee roaster in the triangle). The food was cooked to perfection.
