This establishment is always full of surprises. Will today be the day I ask, eager to head over to my favorite corner of town where the drive thru pulls directly out into busy traffic. I get in my car and make way over to the local watering hole. McDonalds. I pull into the drive thru and order the same thing i have been ordering for the past few weeks consistently. This is no ordinary McDonalds though. No matter how clear i make it, nor how polite I am, they will always get my order wrong. Its like a special power. I go to McDonald when I'm in need of a quick snack or coffee. I understand it's McDonald so you can't expect much. However the experience here was so horrible I'm not even sure how they are still opened. If I can rate this place zero star, I would. I got into drive through and there were barely any cars. I pulled up to the station to place my order and the lady tells me "one second." Sure thing. I proceeded to wait for a minute and another car pulls up to the other station and I hear a male voice taking the car's order. Now I'm getting a bit annoyed since I've been waiting for two/three minutes (which is pretty long for "fast food") and they're taking the order of another car that just pulled up. I yelled out my window "Hello" and the lady responded again "One second." I wanted to leave but a car was now behind me. I eventually placed my order which was a hash brown and a coffee. I go up to pay and when I get to the second window two workers comes to the window and asked me what I ordered. I told them it was a hash brown and a coffee and they're both frantically trying to find it while arguing....She then tell me she needs me to pull to the side of the building so they can make me my order. At this point I'm super annoyed. I tell her can she also include two ketchup in my order and as I start to drive to the side of the building she tries throwing the ketchup in my car! I had to brake and tell her to put it in the bag for the hash brown. I couldn't believe it. Who does that!? I pull up to the side and it takes another 3min. I decided to just refund and leave. If they are this incompetent and unorganized, I do not want to eat their food. I went inside and told the cashier I wanted to refund and when he went to grab his manager, two of the managers were bickering about not wanting to do the return. SERIOUSLY?! One of the manager finally comes over and apologizes and wants me to take the food instead. I said no and she gave me my money back. When I counted the refund, she gave me the incorrect amount. I had to correct her and then she gave me what she shorted me. It wasn't until I was in the car that I realized she also gave me the incorrect change. Can this experience get any worse? Honestly, this order should've took no longer than 5-10min considering it fast food but this whole ordeal took 15-20min. Whoever is training at this McDonald needs to do better. All the workers are lost and the manager can care less. read more

I've visited this McDonalds 5 times and every time I have had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time. I visit this location because it is close to work. The only thing that I ever order is coffee. Today was the last time I will ever visit. I attempted to order a coffee this morning but after waiting in line for 10 minutes without the line moving, I left. This morning there was only one cashier and a ridiculously long line. Again, this afternoon, I went to this location to get my coffee. There was one customer in the restaurant so I figured it wouldn't be a long wait. I ordered a coffee. I waited 8 minutes before they gave me my drink. They had two cars sitting at the speakers for ten minutes before they laughed and said "sorry we didn't know you were there." They told me to pull forward while I was waiting on my food and must have also told the people behind us to pull forward as well, but there was no room so the whole line was backed up and honking. Went in qas told to order on the screen, I said I rather order with a peraon was told I could only do that if I pay cash. So went to the order screen took a minute to figure out. Enter the drive thru behind one car. They took the left ordering one and I took the right. Since they got there first I understood when the voice on the speaker told me that she's be with me in a moment. But then I sat there for 5 minutes in astonishment when I see that all the cars at the window paid, got their food, and left including the one that rolled up with me and I'm here, the only car in any part of the drive thru. They couldn't except cash at the time which is understanding but waiting to tell customers once your in the drive through it's too late. Today was the last straw with this place. Ordered two (2) number 3 quarter pounder with cheese. The burgers looked liked they had been dropped on the floor and then put back in the box. I took them back to the counter and waited two minutes to get someone's attention to asked for the manager. She looked at the burger and asked me what was wrong with it, so I told they were not edible. The manager reluctantly had new ones prepared and told they crewmember is make sure they were "neat." When I returned to my table another customer opened his child's chicken nuggets, two of them looked like they had bites from them, it was gross. However, they did change the play place so that I can see my toddler at all times, and they have a gem of an employee named James that works here. Slowest drive thru ever. I came at 10:50 AM and with two cars in front of me, I was stuck there until 11:25 AM. I don't know how that's even possible, unless they actually had to pluck the chicken to make the McNuggets. Further, they gave me 1 BBQ sauce for three people splitting a 20 piece. Horrible service. On days that I did not pack my lunch (I work from 1:00am-10am) I have come here hoping for a quick bite to eat. Every single time, it has taken at least 20 mins for a hash brown and egg mcmuffin. Today I was asked to wait a moment by, what sounded like, a hardly awake sloth man thru the speaker. Anyways, 8 mins later and an attempt at me saying hello (only to be asked to wait another minute), I just said forget my hunger and reversed out of there (luckily no one was behind me). This is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Not once have they gotten my order correct and I recently had the worst experience so far. After coming home with my food from this location, every item I ordered had something wrong with it, the food was cold and soggy and tasted terrible. My wife and I couldn't eat the food and my dog refused to eat it too. I tried to call that night and no one answered so I showed up after work the next day. The "manager" I spoke to, Desiree, refused to refund the money because I didn't have the food with me (as if I'm gonna hold on to it for hours), began to get extremely irate and threatened to call the cops after I asked for the owners number and had "FUCK" tattooed in large letters across her knuckles which is extremely unacceptable in a family restaurant. I ended up getting the executive office number, filed a complaint against her and the location and I will be returning to speak with Desiree's manager. I will not return to this location and I hope anyone who reads this won't either. read more

This location is constantly busy around 12am-3am and is somehow never prepared for it. It's one of the few fast food places actually open 24 hours in a 24 hour city. A lot of us get off work around this time and try to get a quick meal. Considering how they are always busy they should be a lot more prepared, put extra people on this shift if you have to but clearly people want to eat here and clearly there's always a problem since there's so many bad reviews. There's also the cash only problem, randomly they only do cash and never have a sign out warning people so a lot of us end up waiting in line anywhere from 20 mins to an hour just to sit hungry and not even get a meal at the end of the line. It's ridiculous. Just now I waited at least 20 mins to get to the speaker just to be told no cards, then had to wait another 20 mins to get out of the line and two people in front of me also had the same situation. And this has happened many times but guess what y'all are the only people a lot of us can get a meal from after working till 1 or 2 am so we keep going. It's extremely inconsiderate to just let people sit like that. Leave a sign out before the drive thru so people have the opportunity to turn around, it's not hard. Either you guys don't care or you're too dense to think of doing so. Either way something needs to be fixed at this place. So I'm not typically a big fan of fast food, but hey... When you've got a pretty solid buzz at 2:30am, sometimes the only thing that can satisfy your hunger is big greasy big mac, and a 24/7 breakfast menu! Unfortunately when my fiance and I got to the drive though, the stores entire system was down, so we shouldn't have been able to order anything at all. Giant bummer right????? Nope! Luckily for us, a red headed man named Cameron was working, and he let us pay cash for our drunken craving midnight meal. Seriously, he was so sweet and so funny. The only reason I'm even writing this review, is because I'd love it if this guys boss saw this, and sees that his employee is super likeable, personable, helpful, and professional. Restaurant workers don't always get the credit they deserve, and my fiance and I both just wanted to give this guy the shout out he deserves!! We're from Mammoth lakes, about 3 hours south, and we thoroughly enjoyed our McDonald's experience here. PLUS everything was super fresh which was even better. Thanks Cameron!
