The worst service I've ever experienced in fast food. After a long vacation my family and I came here pretty late at around 8pm, my father, mother and I arrive at this McDonald's. We go up to the place where they ring up your orders. The lady working there kept asking my father (he was ordering for us) what we wanted even though we said it like 80 times. She clearly didn't understand what we were saying or maybe she just had selective hearing or something. So after we go up to get our food at the second window and she gives us two straws,we immediately know something is up. The lady working there tells us to pull off to the side and she hands us two drinks and 2/3 meals we asked for. My father ordered me a 10 piece nugget meal (I'm big ik) and they only gave me 10 nuggets the nugget meal comes with fries (medium) , a diet coke (medium) and 10 piece nugget. So my mother goes in to ask for the other stuff and the woman argues with her so we had to pay for another meal on top of that. ALSO the lady that was working there apparently felt threatened by my mother that's only 115 lb and 5'2 mind you so she calls over her manager to watch the transaction. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

Food is fine but it takes so long to order even when no one is in line. Needs some cleaning around trash and the service is soooo slow.

Stopped by on a Friday morning at 7:30 to grab some breakfast. Small line so I decided to use the restroom first. Once entering the bathroom, it was pretty dirty. It looked like it had not been cleaned for at least a day or two. The trash cans were overflowing- the stalls were dirty, and toilets were very gross. Trying to wash my hands was absolutely impossible, which is where I decided to leave and not order food. The soap in the women's restroom did not work at all. You could not pump it out. Which indicated to me ( my assumption ) that if I can't use it - then what are the employees using? So NOPE big for me. read more

This McDonald's does not have a kiosk in the lobby for ordering, the drive thru is a total nightmare and the staff is not well trained. Most of these points would be accurate for the majority of McDonald's but today was over the top. The drive they line was draped around the building leaving my options to wait in the line or to go in to order. We decided to go in today and when we opened the door you would have thought they were throwing cash for the taking. We ordered: (1) McDouble, (2) Cheeseburgers, (2) Large Drinks and (2) Large Fries - Crispy. While waiting for the food a guy starts yelling that he didn't want "crunchy" fries. He wanted "tender" fries, whatever that means. Well, I watched them take his fries, which his hands had been on and place them into someone else's bag. The manager told them they can't do that so they chucked them. I only wonder what goes on if you are in the drive thru of any fast food location and have no idea what is going on inside. I referred the episode to the the manager on charge and she looked at me and sad :" Ah, OK" like it was something normal and usual. My concern are: Where is the HEALTH DEPARTMENT?!? First off let me say that up until the pandemic, I had to have my mcdonalds fix at least once a week. Over the last few years, we've been cooking more at hone and ordering deliver from local pizza and sub shops. The other day, I broke down and went to mcdonalds in salem NH. I ordered a quarter pounder w/cheese meal, a frozen coke, and a filet - o-fish with a small fry. When I was told it was a little over $27.00, I thought they made an error. We have a place called pressed where you can get 2 sandwiches for a little less that come with a side order, and believe me, a hell of a lot better. You can even go into maryanns restaurant and have 2 meals with waitress service for about the same. But what really pissed me off was the filet - o-fish. The fish was LITERALLY HALF THE SIZE PIECE OF FISH THAT IS USE TO BE. Do yourself a favor, avoid these fast food restaurants that are ripping people off. read more

i just went to this store to purchase food, i ordered my food inside. after paying with a $20 bill the cashier give me back my change coins and bills. as i sit back the same young men starting to helping the girls with filling up the bags with food. i called him over and said you cannot be touching the right after you just thouched money. That idiot start urging with me telling me to go to market basket and don't come here. this guy had no gloves at all before and after doing all that. the assistant supervisor came and told me to talk to her not him. i explained to her and she just said you want your money back. i told both of them they should be fired and the kid told me to suck his d..k. really professional. to all don't eat at this location they are not doing the right. they are completely pigs. read more

Wow, no love for the Salem McDonald's?? This McDonalds is one of the oldest in the area, having been built in the early 70's; There isn't even a Playland because that idea came later. (The land is too small, having once been shared by JM Fields, which became Digital, then Lechmere, and is now Target.) I want to say it even once had the bathrooms on the outside, 'gas station' style, before the side dining room was added, but that might be a fuzzy memory of something else. When I worked there, around 1997, they had just gone non-smoking, yet smoking happened anyway. Nowadays they have cameras everywhere, which spoils the fun even if it does keep the place from being robbed. The service here is always much faster than at BK or Wendy's, and the food is decent. They remodeled the inside a few years ago, adding wood paneling to everything, (Kind of like an Irish Pub-perhaps they were thinking 'O'Donalds', or they overdosed on Shamrock Shakes.) There is also a cozy area in the corner by the front windows, with leather chairs and a plasma TV, usually playing, that's right, commercials for BK and Wendy's. Still, I can't shoehorn into a Yelp review all the memories I have of this McDonald's, whether it was being a child and getting a Happy Meal (Back when Happy Meals had cookies, dammit), getting breakfast before delivering morning newspapers (My first job, which afforded me my first $129 electric geeetar), hanging out as a teenager with friends who worked there, working there myself at a desperate time in my 20's, stopping in to get my brother and I a quick dollar menu snack the day after Mom passed away, eating there before work at the old Victorian Park Haunted Mansion, it goes on and on. Morgan Spurlock (The 'Super Size Me' guy) would have you believe that McDonald's is an evil entity that is single handedly responsible for this 'obesity epidemic.' Restaurant has air conditioning on in winter to keep patrons from lingering. Asked to have turned down to no avail. Left and sat in warm car. Other patrons noted this is common practice at this McDonalds. 1 star due to physical discomfort due to A/C and fact that food started to cool necessitating eating in warm car. read more
