I'm little surprised that all the McD's in this area are all below 2 stars, even tho they usually have consistently full drive thru lines of all national Fast food places (apart from In n Out). This Harbor location I feel has a renovated interior and generally I don't receive bad service with an attitude. I did have more of those incidents at the McDs on Main Street/ Target location so I just stopped going there, along with the larger street population who at times hang out in the parking lots. I only order via the mobile app- so there are rarely issues with receiving the correct order. Also I don't order large meals, seems like many of the 1 star ratings are due to receiving incorrect items or not getting the correct sauces etc. This is why I do not do drive thru for Fast food. I want to check and see what I received so I can ask for any changes on the spot. What I see has happened here is that McDs is trying to cut out the human factor of taking orders, and made customers first use order kiosks awhile back. There is nowhere to order from a live cashier. A few months back I heard new owners bought the local area McDs. They took away the self-serve soft drinks area, and it looks like they want to turn all their McDs into take out/ drive thru only. Soda drinks are the cheapest cost for restaurants, so taking away refills for in store customers seems pretty extreme. Prices at all fast food places have gone up significantly, so using the app and offers is the only way I purchase food from here and other national fast food places. read more

It's been a while since I've been to this McDonald's location on Harbor Boulevard. They renovated a few years back and it's actually pretty nice inside. The menu boards are very big and behind the register now. It's a huge upgrade from what it used to like prior. Overall, there's a lot of parking here but getting to the actual driveway can be a little tricky because there are constantly cars coming in and out of here with the freeway being right there too. Download the app to see what kind of deals and coupons they are running at the time. Especially with the price of food now take advantage of any promotions they have going on to save some money. You're also able to make mobile orders so you don't have to wait for a register to open up and your food could be waiting for you when you get here. Best parts of the experience were speedy service on a Sunday evening (approximately ten minutes from ordering to sitting down to eat), flavorful menu items (cheeseburgers prepared correctly; coffee, which has always been good for a fast food chain; fries were still delicious when cold while driving in the car. They didn't get hard and crunchy and were perfectly seasoned.) The bulk of my dismay centers around the pricing. We ordered a two cheeseburger meal plus a coffee. If you don't want the soda included with your meal, which costs a whopping $7.99, you'll be hit with a "drink upcharge" of $1.10. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent visit to your McDonald's location. At 2:30 AM, I encountered an experience that was far from the standards I expect from your establishment.Upon arrival, I was met with a lady claiming there were other customers in line, despite the fact that there was no one else present. The staff refused to fulfill more than one mobile order, forcing us to make an additional trip through the drive-thru. Once at the window, the employees were unprofessional, loitering and chatting while we waited an unreasonable ten minutes for our food, which was served cold.The situation worsened when I requested sweet and sour sauce. I was charged for four sauces, and after asking for the charge to be adjusted to one, the employee rolled her eyes, disappeared for another five minutes, and then returned to charge me for four sauces anyway, providing only one. To add insult to injury, our drinks were incorrect, and items were missing from our order.Upon calling the store to speak with a manager, the individual on duty at 3 AM was unhelpful, rude, and displayed no empathy or respect, ultimately hanging up on me. Likely the worst McDonalds in existence. This location is so far off the standard for quality and service that due to it's inability to meet even minimum standards for a McDonalds it should be stripped of it's name. My guess is that it is absent any ownership oversight and has been left in the care of children who lack any coping skills. Honestly people, find another location and thank me in advance. What is this please explain, I ordered off the Mc Donald's app for a delivery and I got a wrong order I wanted the 6pc nugget meal medium with a coke, the fries and drink were good for both of the meals but even my burger was wrong I wanted to try the new Smokey BLT burger and I couldn't even experienced it because of these dumb workers so I called them over the phone and I spoke to a girl over the phone and she said "oh I was hoping it didn't go out like that" right when I told her about the 2 patties, then she said "I'll give you the refund and also the nuggets" then asked " when will you come" and I responded "around 10 to 15 minutes" she said "okay" and that was the conversation over the phone. I went to the Mc Donald's waiting like 15 to 25 minutes in line then told them the situation just to get my whole order right but I was told to get the nuggets and the burger and my full refund, but then I just get my whole order again but then I asked "and my refund" just to get told from the lady that I spiked to over the phone "no I just said the refund OR the food" so I said "well take this shit then" so I got my refund back $20.02 and left. Never do the curbside pick up here. I placed an order (mcchicken and McDouble and sprite, so small) at 11:15, parked at 11:20, and at 11:40 I was still waiting. I walked in, see a bunch of people standing around, and said I could pick it up and they handed it to me on the spot- it was ready and packed, they just never brought it out. This is the third time I've tried curbside with them at this location and it's always happened like this.
