The employees are so rude. I went through the drive thru Monday June 27 at around 2pm and the guy taking our order was so rude. I was ordering and being polite as I know their jobs are hard and it doesn't hurt to be kind. I know how working at a fast food place is draining and tiring as my bf always tells me but there was no need to snatch the money from my hand and basically throw the change back. The guy who was working had tattoos and if you don't like your job just leave. Nobody is forcing you to work there. The employee giving me my meal back was really polite and she was so sweet. 2 stars only because the new renovation looks pretty awesome and $1 sweet tea. But that's it. Customer service here sucks. I really hate how every now and then I meet a cashier who tries to charge me extra for cream or whatever else. I personally love my large sweet tea with 5 creams because that's what makes it taste awesome. I've been doing that consistently at many different McDonalds but this one always seem to try to get me to pay extra. Once, I asked for 5 creams and the cashier told me it's $1 for every 3 creams I get. WHAT?! I proceed to tell him that I just came the day before and got my creams for free so why am I being charged now? He goes, "It's our policy. $1 for 3 creams." So I asked, "Okay. Where does it say that? I don't see it on your menu." He stutters something about people taking too many condiments and wasting it and finally says, "ok I give it to you this time." THIS TIME?! You should be giving it to your customers every time! WTF? What kind of policy is that? I really wish someone would be able to clarify this whole random-charging-of-condiments issue for me. Came here last night after bar hopping with my boyfriend and friends. I was craving something sweet and originally wanted a frosty from Wendy's but quickly decided I wanted a Mcflurry instead. We went through the drive-thru around 1am and I asked for a m&m McFlurry and the guy said "no ice cream" ok...so I then asked if maybe the eggnog shake and the guy yelled back "I said no ice cream!" ...jerk! We went to McDonald's for breakfast through the drive thru and it was an exceptional experience. We ordered oatmeal, an egg mcmuffin a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a hot breakfast and everything came out perfect. they even gave us an extra hash brown. They gave us little baggies with all the condiments (butter, syrup, forks, spoons, knives, napkins). Good job McDonald's!! read more

What the heck... I've been eating here EVERY Saturday or Sunday and they still have not made one mistake on my order. I even have one of those crazy orders where I specifically want a round egg, rather than the flat folded one. And my iced coffee needs extra ice and light on the cream. I know, they must hate me. But check this out... They offer the biggest orange juice than any other Mc Donald's in San Jose/Milpitas area. I have no idea why. Same price, but their small is everyone else's large. Went through Drive thru last night they asked me what was my order so I showed my receipt. They took my receipt and told me to drive to the pick up area and someone will bring me my food. After waiting for about 7 minutes or so I decided to go inside and ask how much longer. Keep in mind my order wasn't very large just some a 10 piece McNuggets and a McDouble meal. Once inside the McDonald's after about a minute or so an employee finally asks me if they can help me with anything. I told them the situation and so they went and got a manager. The manager briefly comes out and tells me that they are will make my order right now. The manager then asks me what was my order? I don't know why this angered me as much as it did but I was already fed up so I just said what my order was and 2-3 minutes later my food was given to me. Not only did it take almost 15 minutes not including the drive thru wait time but if I never went inside they would have never brought out my food. I will not be using the drive thru here again and that's a sad thing because this location is the closest one to my house at the moment. At 1:00am wednesday morning used drive thru window. 5 cars in front of me. When we got our food, the french fries were cold and hard! wtf? Dude. Have some pride in your job and don't be lazy. My favorite McDonald's! They always serve fast and the food is always fresh! I'm not very picky with my food and I am pretty lenient if my order is messed up, but this McDonalds has never once gotten my order wrong. During lunch, the lines are long and there are so many people. I love coming during lunch (around 12) just to see how long it takes them to hand me my order. I always time them because they never fail to surprise me. My stopwatch has never once surpassed 2:00 when ordering during lunch. Heck! My stopwatch has never surpassed 2:00 during ANY time during the day/evening. The employees here work their tails off to provide a quick meal for the customers. The managers do a great job. But the supervisor... She is the most dedicated, most hard working supervisor I have ever seen! Very loyal, customer friendly, and knows EXACTLY how to do her job. I think what I like most about her is that if you TRY to lie, complain, call people names, make a big scene, fool her, and give her crap, she'll just throw it back right at you. She definitely stands her ground when it comes to someone telling her how to do her job. But if you're friendly (NOT rude) and you have an understanding explanation of what went wrong, she will be more than happy to fix the situation. I have never seen someone so dedicated to their job. The supervisor has done a great job renovating and sculpting McDonald's. She has also done a fantastic job training her employees. I don't know what all the harsh reviews are about. People seem to be rating this place as if it were some 5 star restaurant or something. It's a fast food joint. Quit fantasizing that ANY fast food restaurant is going to be perfect, because most of the time, they're not. Especially if you're one of those people that like to come in at 2:30-3 in the morning. Hardly anyone eats at that time! If you choose to eat during the late night- when the business isn't as busy- then anything that happens that you have a problem with is really on you. Don't blame a restaurant for not providing "fresh" food because late at night their food is made to order. Take a plunge into reality people! I have been so satisfied with this McDonald's that I have been going here for years. Throughout those years, I have seen so many lowlife customers. Most of the time they either have a NASTY attitude or they're just trying to get free food. (Finishing the food Or hiding a burger/fries in their car, coming back to the restaurant to complain that "they never received their order") like I said, it's a fast food joint located in East San Jose. What do you expect? My point is, I am so amazed by how patient this McDonald's managers and supervisors have been with these types of people. If it were me, boy oh boy, I probably would have gone off on someone by now. There was one time I overheard this lady complaining and yelling at a manager about how she was there 4 days ago and McDonald's gave her a fake $20 bill. FOUR days later!!! No receipt, nothing!! She ended up calling the police because they wouldn't exchange the $20 bill. The police said that "McDonald's is right. They can't give you a $20 bill FOUR days after you ordered with NO receipt. There's no proof that you really received $20 in change. There's no proof that you even ordered from here! How are they supposed to know you didn't just switch out the $20?" Not sure how McDonald's managers and the supervisor put up with these annoyances. But a HUGE props to them for doing so!!! Nonetheless, this place is by far the BEST fast food restaurant I've been to. No doubt, this is definitely my go to restaurant when I want a quick, fresh meal. Love this place! read more

I love this location. It's newly renovated since last year so it doesn't look ghetto at all... The service is really quick and everyone is so nice and willing to help. And the iced coffee never fails! Most other McDonald's give me watery coffee, but this location does not! Total 5 star in my book and the location is 2 minutes away from work (1 if I speed)! In addition, when I ask for no cheese, usually they just take the cheese off the burger or sausage mc muffin where I can still see traces of cheese, but this location always makes it WITHOUT cheese, just the way I like it. This is my cheat meal place for the week usually, but this week, I've been coming here way more often than I wanted to :( read more

This is usually my McDonalds of choice on the rare occasion I feel like going, because the food here has never made me sick like the one on capitol has. They sent out an advertisement for their re-opening that included a deal on friday for 2 quarter pounders with cheese for 2 dollars. Seemed like a really good deal so I tried to jump on it. Got there only to see a bunch of signs saying there was an error and that the deal would not be honored. Instead the deal was something like #2 meal (which is the quarter pounder with cheese) for $5, saving you a whopping 40 something cents. I don't even know what kind of miscommunication translates 2 quarter pounders for 2 dollars to a #2 meal for 5 dollars, but the fact that it happened and there was no compensation was just sad. Since I made the trip I ordered a mcdouble and a mcchicken. Not sure if it was the lingering bitter taste in my mouth from the deal, but they tasted and looked even more artificial than usual. Okay I like McDonald's as a quick meal but this one I only tolerate because it's the closest to my house and they're 24 hours and have breakfast at midnight! But even before their store "upgrade" they've messed up orders or just had crappy made food. My bf and I don't have high expectations we know what to expect from McDonald's but this place is careless and are only worried about their turn around time. Since moving I thought McDonalds "quality" (LOL) has gone down but it was just this one.. Today's gripe: Sandwich wasn't even wrapped it was basically placed the paper. My egg McMuffin had a 1inch in diameter eggshell in it.. (At least they're real eggs....) And muffins are always burnt. Past gripes: missing items (almost all the time)... Incorrect prices posted on menu (breakfast burrito for $1 but charged $1.50).... Ice cream is icy and watered down and runny (idk how they figured how to do that) ... They don't mix mcflurrys... Giving out the wrong burgers... Mostly their focus on turn around time vs giving out the correct food.. read more

This is usually my go to place in the mornings before work. Ordered a large vanilla iced coffee today and as I consumed drink noticed fruit flies/bugs in my drink. I know the weather is getting warmer and it's that time when all the insects come out , but now I'm wondering if the bugs got in there machine and laid eggs or what...tried calling this place four times to give them the heads up but no one is answering. For some reason, there are very few late-night food options on this part of town. My boyfriend works nights and occasionally gets hungry at work after I've finished our leftovers- stopped here last night to grab him something. The line for the drive thru was the slowest I've experienced in a long time- spent 20 minutes waiting, but no one ahead of me appeared to have an overly large or complicated order. And then the food. Ordered two of the grilled wraps (sweet chili and the featured southwestern) and a double cheese burger- he's a hungry dude but I try to make some healthier choices for him when possible. Let's just say for a $10 order, the only thing that was edible was the dollar-menu double cheese burger. It's a childhood classic. The wraps? They're super overpriced at $4 a pop, even if the chicken is tasty. One wrap had all the meat piled at the top and made it seem like a good value, but after the first couple of bites it was just lettuce and tortilla. Oh and sauce. Be prepared for your wrap to be drowning in whatever sauce it comes with- and they're gross. The sweet chili was cold and gross. BF spit it out and it went directly in the trash. I tried the southwestern, since I like the salad, but it was way spicier than the sauce used in the salad- I'm a Texas girl, so I can handle a little heat, but this was off the charts. Super disappointed. Also, the employee who helped me at the first window was texting all night. I understand he's not an integral part of the food prep chain, but if he's slacking off they probably are too- no wonder the line took so long! read more
