I would normally never review a McDonald's, but this one really is spectacular. I stop here every morning for coffee and a McMuffin on my way to work. The employees are so friendly and upbeat. Their service is very fast and the food is always hot and fresh. Even with the amount of traffic going through here they are really efficient. The employees really seem to take pride in their work and it shows. I see the same people every morning and we always talk and laugh. So nasty. We ordered a 10 piece meal and a deluxe quarter pounder meal. The chicken nuggets were stale as hell. The sodas had zero carbonation and not even filled all the way. To whom it may concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable customer service I received at your Schiller Park, Illinois, restaurant on July 12, 2026 08:32am I placed an order through the McDonald's mobile app and received confirmation that my credit card had been charged. When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, the manager(Latina in her 50's to 60's) informed me that my order "did not go through." I explained that my credit card had already been charged and provide the order Number, but instead of offering an explanation or attempting to resolve the issue, the manager simply turned her back and walked away. I found this behavior to be unprofessional and disrespectful. I understand that technical issues can occur, but customers deserve clear communication, courtesy, and assistance when problems arise. At no point was I offered an apology, an explanation, or help in resolving the charge on my credit card. I am requesting that this incident be reviewed and that I receive a refund if the charge was not already reversed. I also hope appropriate steps are taken to address the level of customer service I experienced so that other customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. Love McDonald's and I think the McDonald's app is GREAT (I wish everyone used it to make things easier and faster). This particular location really dropped the ball today. They have one of those "split" drive throughs where they alternate orders between sides. I pull up to the speaker, nobody in the other lane at this point. The gal says the usual, "Welcome to McDonald's, will you be using the mobile app today?" YES, the code is XXXX, I reply. Then... crickets! ZIP, ZILCH, NADA! No reply. A car pulls up to the other speaker and their order is taken, and they drive up. ME? Still nothing. So I'm like "hello?" 2nd car pulls up to other speaker, orders and pulls up. ME? Silence. 3rd car pulls up to other speaker and orders. ME? I honk my horn. beep, beep.... and still nothing. 3rd car pulls forward (now the line is full of cars in front of me, blocking my way. ME? HELLLLOOO??? Finally gal comes back, can I help you? Needless to say I gave her some "kind words" told her I didn't want the order anymore (couldn't take a chance on any gross retribution). Went to drive thru at lunch. Ordered 1 1/4 pounder NO SALT 1 fry. NO SALT 1. REGULAR COKE RECEIVED 2 1/4 pounder WITH SALT 2. Fries. WITH SALT 2. DIET cokes So every item was wrong and I received and paid for twice what I ordered! No reciept. Had to go off to side and wait which is fine as it's a special order. Guy comes out with order. Double everything, no drink. Tell him I don't want double and try and hand him the bag back. He grunted something, did not take bag back. He saw I didn't have a drink and he said drinks and held up one finger. I reminded him, regular coke. He comes back with a tray with 2 cokes, both Diet. So I got charged double and got two of things I didn't want. So I went back to work opened a can of coke, threw their cokes out. Pcoceeded to eat the food with the salt, a little salt not going to kill me. I can save the second for tomorrow but the fries are never the same. So disappointed. Asked for a regular burger. No onions. No pickles. 3 pumps of Big Mac sauce on it. Had to explain it at least 5 times. I don't know why I had to explain it so many times. It was a very cut and dry order. Confirmed the order on the screen and with the cashier. I ended up with a burger with no pickles no onions and 3 pieces of bacon on it. The food ticket says the order correctly, but the burger has absolutely no Mac sauce on it. I'm just really annoyed because the order was so simple and somehow it was such a problem to execute. I live near this McDonalds and it is sometimes, my only choice for takeout. On 4/28/23, I was there around the lunchtime hour. 12 hours later, with NOTHING else in my stomach, I developed chills, a high fever, diarrhea, and projectile vomiting. I have no doubt (being an R.N) that I was poisoned with salmonella pr e-coli bacteria. It took 60 hours to rid this from my system. I really enjoy this McDonald's and they always get my order correct. The fries are ALWAYS fresh and hot and never had a problem with a cold meal. I enjoy the swiftness of the crew and I always get my order fast. I have yet to order a picky meal but I do believe that they would get it right either way. I also asked for a cup of water in which to mix my ice tea liquid. The girl (the manager) at the counter wanted to charge me $.027. $0.27 FOR TAP WATER. YES WATER FROM THE DANG FAUCET!
