Even though our curbside order took much longer than expected, when I called the store, the manager was transparent and honest, which I really appreciated. You don't always get that in this industry even in fancier restaurants. I didn't catch her name but I hope she's promoted. They even offered a coupon which was very kind. Service sucks and slow. Workers never pay attention to the orders up front. There's never a person at the register to handle the orders on the kiosk, or to take an order. The service just sucks. Unfortunately this was not a very good McDonalds. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but it took almost ten minutes between the time I placed my order to when someone came to the register so I could pay. I would've given them a pass for that because the drive through was pretty busy (I was one of only two people inside) and they can't control how many people are waiting, but once I finally got my food, half the chicken sandwich was basically raw. I don't mind waiting a bit because things happen, but the chicken wasn't even cooked all the way through. They can control that part. The wait would've been fine if I could actually eat my food at the end of it, but I was afraid of that partially raw chicken and had to throw it out. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I'm fed up with the horrible customer service here! They've overlooked items in my order countless times, but I always check the bag, so it's usually not a big issue. Today, I sat in line for what felt like forever and in a rush went directly home after receiving my food. I get home, and sure enough, my McNuggets are missing. Sauce is there, no nuggets. I head back to the store and get nothing but attitude from the person at the counter and not even a sorry. I worked customer service for years and try very hard to be understanding, but the way I was treated shows straight-up contempt for customers and complete disregard for their experience. After battling with the kid at the order board who's insisting on having everything right despite the price he's listing not being remotely correct, and the video board is malfunctioning, we roll up. Surprise surprise, he took the wrong stuff down. Explain it to the next window. She's insisting that's what's there- even though it's only listing the sandwiches, not the meals. So finally they start going to fix it and they hand us a bag of 'part of the order' and ask us to pull up. Pull up, park... Y'all... it's someone else's food. Not even close to our order. Never did I think I would review a McDonald's in my life...unless it was more terrible than expected of course. This should be the model store for all Mcdonalds to strive to be. The staff is friendly as if it were a chic-filet without the fakeness. The establishment was cleaner than ANY fast food place I have ever been to and I ordered a Big Mac and for the first time in 20 years it was made great! Sounds weird and yes I'm considered a "foodie" since I've been in this industry for 25 years. I have fine dining experience and I do consulting. About the Big Mac, put together, not falling apart, everything on it fresh and perfectly portioned. Most of all the perfect amount of sauce!!!! That NEVER happens. I had put in an order through the McDonalds app before leaving work, it's about a 10 minute drive to get there. When I get there expecting my meal I am told they will start making the meal. When I got my meal they didn't supply cups for the drinks that I ordered. It was a complete waste of time, It would have taken less time going through the drive through then ordering through the app especially if it's not going to get made until the customer gets there. My total was $4.49, and I gave the cashier $5. He then proceeded to ask me if I had any change because "they were put of change..." I gave him two quarters and got back a dollar. But what if I hadn't had change? Would they just have charged me $4‽ Offered to throw and extra hashbrown my way? Probably not. This is the Macker's I'd suggest if you needed to go to one that's on Route 13. If you're wondering why, it's because they're pretty quick with giving you your meal. Their meal quality fluctuates, but is more often good than bad; I've had really good triples, but dry as all get out ones as well. They also double check with you on your items, possibly because they don't want to have complaints. The biggest issue that the place has is that getting out of the place is a hideous nightmare. Not joking; your best hope is to either get out by the Subway or use the strip lot and turn around. It makes the place a bit of a pain on that. read more

Quick, fast, and clean place. The food is hot and carefully wrapped. The deals are nice and again, the orders were delivered to our tables very quickly and professionally. Did you know that when you order a cheeseburger, they actually just completely omit the burger patty for you? It's amazing. You know what you're getting with McDonald's so I can't rate them much lower. You have to understand your expectations should not be super high when dining here. That said, there is always a long line and the staff is usually very friendly and try to get people in and out quickly. This McDonald's is always busy but they do move really fast. The food is pretty good as well. My problem is it's always something missing from the order. On 2/3 occasions I ordered happy meals and got home and either the fries or chicken nuggets are missing out of the box. This is very frustrating because I normally prefer my children food here when it's late after sports and I don't feel like cooking so, to get all the way home and see half of the meal is missing is frustrating. Again more than one occasion this has happen. Recently it happened and I called the Smyrna Manager and they stated I can come back or they would send me a coupon ... what kind of coupon ??! Its McDonalds. I have been going here for years. Normally the food is made correctly and it is of good quality. I have gone through the drive through and also inside. If it is busy there can be a wait and they do get busier than other McDonalds in the area at some parts of the day. I would say they are better than the Dover McDonalds that is near the Community College. You shouldn't have any problems here so it would be a place that I suggest over other options in the area. But its McDonalds so be realistic don't expect a TBone steak just expect your food at a reasonable price and without any hassle. read more
