No greeting when I walked in so I thought they might be closing early but they said they were open until 8:45 PM. The employees were nice after I started a conversation, but initially the employee at the register acted as if I was bothering her. The food was hot, although the tater tots tasted a little like freezer burn. I ordered a burger with lettuce wrap but, received it on a bun. The rest of the order was correct. Every time I get food here it is fresh and delicious. Today I got the crispy chicken salad bowl. It is fresh and delicious and crispy chicken. Just the way I love it. I will say this place is very clean for starters. I was welcomed warmly by the staff as well, and she explained the differences I asked about with the menu. The price was pretty well set, and I didn't feel like they were going to take my left arm and my firstborn child. The fries absolutely slapped, definitely on par with McDonald's fries, fresh out the grease. The burger wasn't greasy, and def had a shake shake vibe to it. My husband and I were looking for lunch and came up on this place. After looking at the reviews we were really excited to give it a try. When we went inside the place was very cute but most of the tables were dirty. When we went up to the counter to order we were second in line, however, it took nearly 10 minutes to order since the person in front of us ordered one everything and there was only one register. I ordered a cheeseburger and my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger. We also got a side of fries since they do not come with your meal. I appreciated that everything was cooked fresh and all of the vegetables were prepared fresh, however, the flavor of the food was very bland since they used no seasoning at all. It was very disappointing. They couldn't even season the fries when they came out of the fryer. The problem is salt doesn't stick to dry fries, it sticks better to fries fresh out the fryer. They did offer malt vinegar to use but it just didn't help. Overall a very poor experience and will not be going back. Just felt like a waste of money. read more

I don't like when I drink it out of ice but let's just get to the start I did it was take out so I never met the staff or anything, the food was pretty fire not like spicy like nice and the interior when I looked on the Internet, it was kind of nice like they should make restaurants like this at my previous review about Texas roadhouse I mentioned that they gave me food poisoning. Second time, I tried the classic. They taste really fresh and they're filling. The sauces are really good as well - love the chipotle mayo sauce! I need to see if there's one closer to home. Food is always good. Service is always professional. Recently, we ordered dinner through the app. When we arrived, we were told that their milkshake machine motor just broke on them. The manager on duty was so very apologetic. They refunded the cost and offered free large sodas for each of us. Kudos to the manager on duty. One of the best fast food restaurants in the area. The Chili Dogs are fantastic! You will never go wrong with a Burger from here or a Milk Shake. They make all of the food fresh to order. This is one of the better Wayback locations, and Wayback Burgers is what I recommend if you can't get to a Five Guys. They cook everything fresh and you can watch the process as they do it. They also have a pretty nice looking shop, fairly clean and I enjoy their retro items. I in particular advocate the cheeesy burger, which is a delicious vat of meat, lard, and a load of cheeses. The only thing I will warn you on is the pricing, since it's pretty pricey to eat out there. I'd also say their fries aren't the best in the area, but they do what you need them to. Great place to eat if you can' be bothered with the McD's near it. read more

The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is satisfying. Now there milkshakes they are 5 stars by itself I LOVE them. AMAZING!!!! Ordered online on a Monday during lunchtime, I arrived at the time I specified and my food was already prepared. When I sat down I was surprised at how hot and fresh the food was as well as how my shake was still thick and not watered down. The double burger I had was perfectly cooked and not sloppy at all. Normally with that many toppings you end up with a sloppy mess at most burger spots, NOT HERE!!! The hand cut fries were at perfect temperature, not too hard and not soggy. The overall experience was amazing. Great staff, clean environment..... I WILL BE BACK REGULARLY!!!! The prices were higher than the Middletown location that we usually go to for some reason, but the workers were very friendly and accommodating. I really felt like a valued customer even though they were closing soon. The serving size was good and the food was delicious. Walked up to the counter with 2 people standing behind it, not really doing anything, and one standing off to the side. All 3 avoided eye contact, apparently in an effort to NOT have to take my order. Finally had someone look at me and ask for our order. Placed the order and was paying (partially) with a restaurant.com certificate. Again... excuses were tried in order to not take the certificate. Once I was able to prove that the certificate does NOT expire, the order was taken and I was able to pay. I honestly don't think anyone knew what to do with a restaurant.com certificate and just didn't want to deal with it. Bad business practice, "Jake". If you're offering discount certificates, train your staff on how to redeem them. Burgers came out in a timely manner and were pretty good. Not Five-Guys good, but better than a Smashburger. Normally I love Jake's, but if you want to avoid a bad taste in your mouth, DO NOT VISIT THE SMYRNA LOCATION. I arrived to pick up an online order, only to watch the counter staff disrespect a couple of EMTs and coerce them to not order "because it was going to be 30 minutes before they could do anything for them." My order was not ready, I was then told they did not have the impossible burger. Okay, but why wasn't I called before my pick up time to be told? So I ask for a veggie burger instead. I wait in the car 15 minutes for my burger. It's now 25 mins past the expected ready time for my order. I go inside to get the meal and now the ALL WHITE FEMALE staff is just chatting away. No sense of urgency and a complete lack of customer service. I had to ask them to wrap my burger up because they were letting it sit while they continued to talk and get no work done. I get my meal and go feeling pretty annoyed. I open the bag to realize my tater tots are completely cold. The cheese on my burger isn't even melted (it was supposed to be an impossible melt). What's worse is that they did not even give me my drink. So I turn around to go get my drink and complain about the service. The manager acted as if I was a total idiot for wanting a refund and did nothing to make the experience better or even try to help fix. It's safe to say I will never go back to the Smyrna location and I don't recommend anybody to ever visit. Save your money and some stress. read more

The burgers are great, but not worth the poor customer service. We ordered our food for take out and a twenty minute drive later, we found our order was incorrect and we had charges for toppings we did not receive. We called, she took our name and assured us that we would be comped next time we were in. We ate our incorrect but still tasty burgers and fifteen minutes later, we get a call from the Jakes employee saying we would have to bring back our burgers and "show" they were made incorrectly. Kind of hard to do once they've been eaten! She said this was "policy." We were disappointed in the service and I emailed the store owner. I got a quick, apologetic response and three coupons for $15 each. He also said there was no such "policy." This is where I would give a 4 star review, except when I went in to redeem the coupons, I was showed even worse customer service and the cashier implied I was lying about the coupons and was only given two, not three. Then she argued with the owner, who was present, in front of me about how/why/etc I was given coupons and why I was eating at Smyrna instead of Dover.
