Kingdom Coffee is a great coffee shop in Springfield, MO. They roast their own beans and make all their food items except for the baked goods. I ordered their lavender latte to try out their homemade syrups, and it was delicious. My only hang up is that I wish they had pour overs as an option on their drink menu. The staff was beyond polite, professional and helpful answering questions about other local spots. And pretty COVID safe for the point we're at in this weird journey. Just passing through on a road trip & needed some food & caffeine. We've gone to several coffee shops that look cool but their coffee is god awful! This place was really nice & clean, quiet & inviting if you were working. My husband & I both got the rotating brew & shared a cortado. Nice quiet place to work. I hadn't been in a minute and came in to grab the vegan burrito, but they ditched it. They need at least one vegan food option. Very sad and surprising that they don't. I They had a vegan burrito before and they said two months ago they took it off the menu. Is it because it didn't sell well? They could have replaced it with something else like a breakfast sandwich or changed the recipe to be more tasty (mushroom or plant-based meat instead of cauliflower). It's 2023. This place was a pretty great find! I was just passing through on the way to the airport and I needed a good cup to get me through the rest of the travel day, and when I pulled up to Kingdom, I knew I'd found the right spot. The cortado and the pour over--my go-to order at a new coffee shop--were both very good, and came out fairly quickly, which was nice as I had a plane to catch. The cortado was smooth yet had a bite to it with the tanginess of the espresso, and the pour over was fragrant with a creamy mouthfeel that had me wishing I could've enjoyed it sitting there in their shop, watching the cars go by through their massive gallery windows. There was plenty of seating to be enjoyed in the shop as well as a few different food options that I was in too much of a hurry to try. Good drinks, good pastries, good ambience. It is pricey, but it's worth it if you're treating yourself! Baristas are friendly and quick to come out with your order. It does get busy, so factor that into your decision making in the COVID age. However, the tables are widely spaced out and definitely help in maintaining 6 foot distance. Masks are required whenever you are not seated, and this policy is (thankfully) enforced! 2-hour street parking is available by the building, with a free parking lot available a block over. read more

Trying way too hard to be an upscale coffee shop. The place is pretty, but the prices are way too high in my opinion. Maybe thats because my coffee was burnt, it could be better when made correctly. Cute little coffee shop in downtown Springfield near the college. The staff is very friendly, the coffee and the pastries are delicious, and the vibe is great for a place to bring your laptop, tablet, or meet up with a friend. I'm visiting from California and I really enjoyed the ambience. I got a bacon egg and cheddar biscuit not realizing the size and deliciousness I signed up for. Make it a coffee and burrito combo for $6 and change, which you ought to just toss in the tip jar making it an even $7, you definitely get what you pay for and something about that little string tied around the burrito on the wooden plate thing makes you feel like royalty. Treatyoself, and get that burrito combo. But be careful or you will form a habit and be broke very soon. Kingdom Coffee and Cycles is simply stunning. Everything about this shop is perfect and as it should be. Springfield, Missouri no longer disappoints when it comes to speciality coffee. For those of you who frequented The Hub off Boonville Ave, Kingdom is the reboot--and what a superb job they did with it. The location is a drastic improvement, now located downtown off S Market Ave. In terms of atmosphere, the main room is filled with natural light and the walls and surfaces are accented in dark hardwoods. It is unassuming, minimalist, and very comfortable. There is plenty of space which makes the room feel clean and airy. The coffee is the best I've had in Springfield. Actually, it's the best I've had short of Intelligentsia in Chicago. I ordered an espresso (Populace) and a pour over (Intelligentsia). Both were excellent, perfectly extracted, and complex. I really appreciate baristas who know what they are doing, and Kingdom baristas can certainly claim that. After my so-so experience at The Hub those many months ago, I wasn't sure what I would be getting this time around. I'm so glad I came. It's been a while since I did a double take on a cup of coffee, but I was so pleasantly surprised when my mouth lit up at the first sip. Everything from the atmosphere, style, coffee, and presentation is just as it is meant to be. (Special appreciation to Intelligentsia and Populace, too. Note for coffee lovers the city 'oer: Kingdom used to be The Hub; The Hub is now Kingdom. I mean, in essence, anyway - Kingdom is a re-imagined version of The Hub and now looks exactly as good as the products it sells. Not that it didn't before, but Kingdom's new space is now just stupidly awesome. The modern seating, the roughly-hewn but nicely finished wood installations, the big windows and touches of light, and the debonair staff remind me to a serious degree of the famous Intelligentsia location I visited in Los Angeles. But the differences exist, too, and these differences make it truly Springfield: the staff has time to shoot the breeze with you or tell you what's good and the location is actually pretty quiet despite being a block or two from the busiest part of downtown. As for the coffee, you're in good hands: Kingdom offers Intelligentsia, MadCap, Populace, and Crema. You can order it by the bag or by the cup. You can also order house drinks from chai lattes to americanos; whenever I went to Drury I would stop in at The Hub and order an iced mocha at least once a week. Once summer hits I imagine I'll be back to doing this regularly, although the idea of a soul-warming pour over regularly tempts me. I went to their soft opening on Friday evening and was all coffee-d out for the day, so I picked up a bottled ginger ale from a little fridge full of tasty sodas they now offer at the counter. The presence of this and enticing food treats (see Exhibit A, cupcake photo) officially makes Kingdom a great place for all, coffee drinkers or non. I'd love to see some bike racks go in next to the shop, but seeing as Kingdom is partially a bike shop, I'm 99% sure this is just a work in progress. Oh, and speaking of bikes, this is a stellar place to purchase a bike or take yours in for repairs. I was gifted a lovely Linus from The Hub last year and it's possibly my favorite personal asset apart from my cat. I also was able to take it in for a free tune-up a few months after owning it. 9/7/17 - From out of town for a business meeting. Just popped in for coffee and some Wi-Fi. Great long table layout for multiple people to meet, work or just hang-out. Nice clean interior. Very well lit during morning. Playing pleasant techno/atmosphere music. First thing I saw was the massive home-made cinnamon rolls. Seriously, I couldn't look away from them. Got an iced coffee and a cinnamon roll. Barista was very friendly and helpful. Coffee was delicious and cinnamon roll may have been the best I've ever tasted. Ever. Sorry Grandma. Wi-fi was free and fast. Patrons we're having conversations, and music was playing, but not distracting at all as I worked. I really enjoyed my time here.
