Last month, McDonald's stateside had happy meals targeted at adults. I wanted to get one and figure out what all the type was about. I couldn't find a McDonald's near my hotel that offered the cactus plant flea market happy meal. I ended up downloading the McD's app on my phone (I now have two McD's apps, with the Canadian one having a maple leaf in the golden arches logo to distinguish the two) and found the offering at this location. I ordered the ten-piece McNuggets, with sweet and sour dipping sauce and a medium Diet Coke. I find that McD's stateside has more free offerings through its app. When the Vikings win, you get a free Big Mac. Cool! This eatery is in Saint Paul, not horribly far from the hotel that borders the city. It was a nice drive on a Sunday evening. I picked up my order at the drive-thru. The woman over the speaker was great. I got to the pickup window and got a hard-working, nice man. He was so hard on himself when he thought that he had completed my order, but realized looking into the paper bag that he was missing fries. I loved that quantity check. It's the main reason why I'm giving this McD's a higher rating despite not getting my happy meal toy. This store had run out of them, so I essentially got a regular meal. Not earth-shattering. Disappointed? A bit. I can still get a kid's happy meal if I need a toy with my meal, so all is well! He passed me my Diet Coke, followed by my bag of food. I thanked him and left. Turning onto West 7th street from the drive-thru can be challenge if you need to make a left turn. It doesn't have any traffic lights and this street is busy. I probably waited a good couple of minutes before I could safely complete my turn. I got to my hotel room and had a late dinner. I loved my McNuggets. They were crispy on the outside and tender inside. I love sweet and sour sauce. It's consistent in taste on either side of the border. My fries were yummy. It had the right amount of salt. I tend to dip them in the sweet and sour sauce. Perfect! I had the Big Mac the following day. I heated it up and it was yummy. Mind you, something free tends to make things better in my eyes. My Diet Coke hit the spot. It was cold and didn't taste watered down. You earn points stateside as you do at McD's in Canada. I currently have free items being offered that are all burgers (Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, and double cheeseburger). I should be able to claim all of them when I'm back in the Twin Cities. The expiry dates are awesome! I'd return here. Folks were friendly and my food was yummy. I also want to try the McRib because I don't remember if I liked it when I had it eons ago. (429) read more

The staff is very motivated and give excellent customer service. The speed of service is wonderful and the food is always always fresh and hot. If there was any issue or a mistake made they would gladly fix it for you with no problem or arguments. I was here at 11:54 on the drive up window. I paid and pulled to the second window when I asked the employee he didn't want to answer my question he didn't want to be there. I had two employees when I asked them my order is wrong they started yelling at me telling me that I have attitude This is the worst MCD I have ever been too The manager came up to take a complaint and she walked away because she said her delivery was here. Please don't do to this MCD because your order will never be correct and you will be treated like a trash. Please train your employees to be helpful. read more

Holy crap, I don't even know where to start here with this review. All I can say is PLEASE don't order from this specific location, especially if done on an app like Uber Eats. I ordered a strawberry watermelon slush to be delivered to a hotel I was at, and upon receiving my delivery the bag my drink was put in was torn and started leaking disastrously. Who's idea was it to put a SLUSHIE inside a paper bag!?!?! The end result was a huge mess all over the hotel floor and in my room. Went through drive through to order and had ti wait 5-10mins for someone to take our order when we started ordering they don't have drinks available anymore. I proceeded to order a frappe and a rude, unprofessional worker came on and shouted they don't have drinks only fountain drinks. I have to give this mcdonalds 2 thumbs up and 5 stars. They have been hard at work and low employee turnout because of the covid so they have been working mad and doing extremely well. I am a regular and I can tell you right now this McDonald's will always be a 5 star because they are dedicated to getting your order right and give it to you with a smile. I hate to say it, but I've just had it with this place, not that I'm a regular customer. On the way home from the airport, 9:30 at night, stopped here just because I was tired and hungry, and needed something fast. There were 3 cars ahead of me, who pulled in just before I did. I have no idea what the person(s) in the 1st car ordered. I would love to know. I truly would. We sat. And we sat. And we sat. And we sat. Long line of cars starting to queue up behind me. And still we sat. Luckily, just enough room that I could back up a little and drive away from this shit-streak operation. Let's get this straight. Your food is unhealthy and it tastes like shit. And it isn't that great of a value. The only reason I stop here is because you're ostensibly a FAST food restaurant. I realize the people who work here aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer, but figure it out, people. If one car is holding up the line, move them into the parking lot, for Christ's sake. I live reasonably near by and have two kids so I'm here more than I'd prefer. (Honestly though, McDonald's French fries are crazy good.) Last couple of times have been sketchy, this last experience was terrible. God awful. Overcharged, mistaken order, took more than 15 minutes from standing in front of the cashier to getting food (and we were the only ones there). The cashier could not even be bothered to acknowledge me, even though we were just a few feet apart. The manger, to his credit, was great, but his crew was not on their game this particular evening. Ridiculous experience. Ordered two large unsweetened iced teas. Received sweet tea, thankfully I discovered before I drove away. Attendant was obviously irritated that I honked to get her attention to ask for the correct item. So she rolls her eyes when I say hey, I ordered unsweetened please. She turns, does pour new teas, and starts to shove now partially filled cups at me. When I ask her to fill completely, she sighs deeply, but refinished filling. This whole time I've been holding the first teas waiting to hand them back to her. So she turns, ignores the fact that I'm already holding cups in my hand and tries to shove the replacements into my full hands. I tell her I need her to take the others back. She says she cannot. I say that she will have to because I don't have anywhere in the car to put 2 extra cups and they don't have a trash can. So what does she say? "That's your problem not mine and not my fault." Cleanest Mcdonald's I have been in, in a while. Came in with a bunch of little girls after a birthday party around 1540 and the guy taking the orders was professional and very patient. Yeah I've been sitting in this drive-thru for about 20 minutes now. The girl in the window to take money is just sitting on some equipment, clapping her hands, or playing on her phone. What happened to taking pride in under 60 Seconds drive-thru times? My God, people, this McDonald's is a hell hole. I pull up to the window and she tells me they're completely out of Pies, both apple and strawberry, and she's bouncing up and down like a bunny or something, if I'm waiting this long in the Drive-Thru why haven't you put more in the oven? Just hit up the drive thru on the way home from Valleyscare. We were the ONLY car there and they managed to screw up 2 things on an easy order. We ordered a ten piece nugget, large fry, and a #1 (Big Mac meal). It was repeated back to me correctly. What we got was a quarter pounder instead of a Mac, and a 4 piece nugget. I wish that I could go lower than a one. Firstly, when did we lose the fine art of making a McDonalds burger? Really, a burger. My double cheese burger was cold and thrown together, my goodness. So I called the store and spoke to the manager who informed me that it would be three to for weeks before I received my refund in the mail. I told him that was ridiculous and told him that I was returning to the store. I turned around in rush hour traffic on W 7th and drove three miles back to the store. The morning team is always great however the night team seems to ruin our experience every time. They like to get in a habit of closing early and pretend that they don't see you at the drive through window. It's happened on multiple occasions. They also seem to always forget the kids apple juice and sauce that you're paying for. read more

Zero stars. This McDonalds has the worst service of anyplace I have ever been. If they ever got an order right it would be a miracle. Most recently when I went back in to get the hot mustard sauce for my nuggets instead of the honey mustard they gave me, the employee said where are the honey mustards? I said, what? She said I need the honey mustard back. I said I opened them both, that's how I found out you got the order wrong. She shrugged and turned away. I went out to my car, put the food back in the bag and brought it back in (with the two open honey mustards) and put it all on the counter and left. I didn't even ask for a refund. This was probably the worst McDonald's I've ever been too. The individual who took my order was polite and patient. Then I moved forward to pay, but the line was backed up. It was taking 20min for each person to get their food. When it was finally my turn to get my food, the employees didn't great me, just walked by like they didn't see me until my food was done. When my food was ready the lady opened the window, passed me two bags without saying anything, then went back and then passed me my drinks, and promptly shut the window and walked away. I was thinking, let me check my food before I pull off, and for sure they forgot something. So I pulled up and went in. People were hopelessly waiting for their food on the inside as well. Lousy service and food. Either the employees at this particular McDonald's are especially poorly trained, or they're complete idiots. It is the nearest McDonald's to our home and for every time they get an order correct, there are many times they make mistakes. The sweet tea is awful, tasting like barely flavored water. The burgers are dry and most often incorrectly prepared. I suggest avoiding this McDonald's at all cost. There is another one only a few miles down the road that is much better managed (or at least have better staff) and well worth the extra couple of miles. read more

Went through the drive through and drove home. Got home and I noticed I didn't get my credit card back, and only got half of the meal I ordered. I live roughly two blocks away so I just drove back. I go back through my drive through and they had my card then the manager was EXTREMELY rude about my order saying they gave it to me. I told them I still had the bag if they wanted to look and see. So they told me to pull ahead and wait and my food (2 McChicken and a large fries) would be right out. After 30 min I decided to drive back through and complain (it was now 10:30 and the doors were locked). I drove back through the drive through and they said it wasn't ready yet and I just had to wait. So u did for 20 more min. At this time it was more about the principal of it for me than the food. Since my Big Mac I did order was cold by this time an hour later. I drove back through to complain yet again. The manager just told me to be patient. I asked for his name so I could call the next day and complain. Overall I got food that wasn't fresh after an hour wait, insulted, and given the run around. What a horrible experience. Before my husband and I walked in, a young man out in the parking lot told us to use the kiosk to order so we won't get yelled at. We were surprised, but we decided to go in and order anyway. Out of 4 kiosks, only 1 was working, and we didn't see that one was working right away-it was farthest from the door on the other side. The kiosks all said to order at the counter. BUT, NO ONE would wait on us at the counter. We finally figured out the one kiosk way at the end was working, so we ordered. Many others came in and they also were totally ignored by the workers. We waited for our meal and when the guy brought it to our table, he just threw the tray at us. I had to go back up and ask for our drinks because they weren't on the tray and they acted like we were bothering them. I stood at the counter and all of the employees just looked at me, but none asked if they could help me. Finally, I had to yell, "excuse me", and ask for the drinks. While we ate, many more customers came in and were totally ignored. Finally one guy yelled out, "is anyone going to take our order" and he was told in a snotty way to order on the kiosk. At that time, there were several others waiting to order, and they just ended up walking out. All of the employees in that McDonalds need to attend a course on customer service because they pretty much treated everyone like dirt. Not a good business practice. This McDonalds is outdated as a building and parking lot!. So many potholes, I lost a hub cap on my car when I was driving thru the drive up window!!!! Friendly service and hot food, but avoid the parking lot. Also, the building is missing roof shingles, needs lots of paint and has so much rotten siding, it is almost hard to tell this is a McDonalds. Based on the exterior of this place, I wonder why I stopped, but never again till this place is torn down and rebuilt! read more
