Ive enjoyed Culver's for years but recently the sizing for their custard has become really inconsistent. I paid the $5 or whatever it is for a double cc that use to be 2 ample rounded scoops and the past few times Ive ordered its a sad messy 1 1/4 scoops. I clarified if what I was served was a double and explained that in the past its always been 2 full scoops so thats what I was expecting, they politely said they could remake it and came back with the exact same amount they originally served me. I've never been a Culver's fan. The first time I had Culver's when moving to MN I got pretty sick. Today we tried the drive through and I'm still not impressed. I think I could have gotten my food quicker at a sit down restaurant. There were about 10 cars in there parking lot waiting for their food they ordered. Culver's is sooooo slow they regularly pass out numbers that you place in your window, I think we waiting about 20 minutes for a "mixer", chicken strips and fries. So if your not in a hurry and want mediocre food, by all means feel free to set up camp in their "drive through". read more

This Culver's is actually pretty good. I've been going here for a couple of years now and my order was wrong for the first time today. That's what prompted me to write a review, actually. Although my order was royally messed up today, everything is usually correct and tasty and they get the food out fast despite being crazy busy all the time. Their burgers are honestly really, really good. They are so fresh and juicy every time. Most of the time, their burgers are as good if not better than a sit down burger place's. My parents live in Illinois and say the same thing about their local Culver's. Be prepared for a 15 minute wait from the time you enter the line to the time you drive away with your food. They keep the line moving, but it's a popular place during the lunch and dinner rush. Worth the wait. Meh...everyone has an off-night and this must have been the case in the kitchen when we stopped in. Our server at the cash registers was organized and efficient. The chili was good, hot and served correctly. The butter burger (one of my favs) was just the saddest little burger of all time. No ketchup or mustard or pickles but it did have cheese. It looked a little like someone had stomped on it, then threw it in the wrapper. OK, OK! I know that we're supposed to rate fast-food joints on how bad they are. As I bow down my head as being con-compliant, I'm stuffing Culver's fries into my mouth. To me, they have the best fries and excellent burgers. I've never been disappointed here. Well, that's not true. I've been disappointed that I usually get a single, rather than a double, burger. This place causes my gluttony button to activate, big time. The only thing I get consistently are the fries and a Dr. Pepper. This is because I'm trying to eat every burger and sandwich on their menu (no time frame for completion). I have a deep love of mushrooms and bacon, so I have to fight the urge to get the mushroom Swiss or Culver's deluxe with bacon every time I go. The patty melt is on par with regular restaurants, too. Even the fish sandwich is pretty tasty and made with REAL FISH! If you find yourself in WSP, fighting the ridiculous construction, take a break and stop into this Culver's. They'll fill your belly nicely and you'll be less likely to swear so much when you leave. read more

Stopped here on my lunch break to pick up food for a few coworkers and I. Ordered for carry out and stood at the counter for about 20 minutes before they asked my name and then grabbed the bag that had been sitting on the counter for the past 10 or so minutes. I got back to work to eat and noticed that they didn't include fries in any of my combos I ordered. The food that I did receive was good. The food is fine as far as greasy fast food goes, but they can't get an order right to save their lives. It's very frustrating. I've been ordering here once a week for 6 months, and they really only get an order right about 25% of the time. They usually err in condiments. If you ask for ketchup, they give you pickles. If you say no pickles, they give you pickles, etc. The other thing they do is automatically upgrade you to the more expensive item. For instance, if you say "plain butterburger" they give you a double deluxe with cheese, "fries" equals large size fries, etc. It probably is good for the store's bottom line, but it is not appreciated by regular customers. We went to Culver's for the first time tonight for my birthday because they had sent us a sheet of coupons. We were very pleasantly greeted, and when I informed them it was our first time, we were led through the ordering and seating and all that. The manager took my folks to a table and got them situated with their drinks while I finished up ordering. My folks had the butterburger double deluxe, as that was a 2-for-1 deal. I had the mushroom and swiss single, with a free upgrade to onion rings as a side. All the burgers were wonderfully flavourful and the tomatoes on the deluxe burgers were quite tasty (which can often be a problem elsewhere). The counter folk were very helpful in guiding me through the ordering process, telling me what was on each burger, and so on. Culver's features Pepsi drinks, which is normally a bit of a downer for me, but they did have Pepse Maxx on the fountain, so I was pleased. For dessert, my folks each ordered a turtle sundae, again on a 2-for-1 coupon, while I got the pecan and hot fudge sundae. Their frozen custard is first rate, just the way ice cream should taste. We all felt we would return, and maybe try out some of the other things on their menu. I especially want to try the reuben melt. read more

I've visited this location several times, and been reasonably satisfied with the food, given that it's just over-priced, greasy fast food. Well okay, it's not very fast, but at least it's better than a lot of the competition. My complaint is really about their advertising. I expect a little spin in advertising but I don't like being deliberately lied to. Their latest TV ad states that Culver's sears their burgers to "seal in the juices." Really? In his classic culinary textbook "On Food and Cooking" educator Harold McGee explains that this is a notion that surfaced in the 19th century and was quickly disproved. Searing meat doesn't "seal in" anything and that isn't why it's done. I'd be amazed if there's a chef anywhere in the Western world who believes that. We sear meat to get the browning or Milliard reactions on the surface of the meat, which enhance the flavor. And anyone who's cooked a steak or a burger should know this simply by seeing what happens as you cook it. Certainly Culver's isn't managed by culinary idiots. I'll bet they understand this perfectly. So guys, what's with the advertising? Do you really have that little respect for your customers, or for the truth? I'll be eating elsewhere. read more

After a previous terrible experience I had at Culver's I was given a simple "free value basket" during my next visit. When I went to use it during this trip Javi came to the window and berated my party with questions about my previous experience and ultimately refused my coupons with snarky and uncalled for comments under his breath. i used to come in here all the time with my client. we'd come at 10 all the time. the door said they're open at 10. one day they just decided to tell us they don't open until 11 because of covid. but their door clearly said 10. they wasted 15 minutes of our 30 minute lunch break. towards the end, the food was making me really sick. i like to go there now for something different, but i have instant diarrhea from their chicken tender. i get the chicken sandwich. Worst experience with a fast food place in 10+ years. Spent 20 minutes in Drive-thru to get and order for two only to get home and find out hey messed up the order not once but twice. How do you f'up an order twice. Drive 15 minutes back to tell them I want the correct food this time only to argue with, I assume, to be the asst manager tell me I need to move my car or he is not going to get my food. Avoid this place, wrong orders frequently, bad customer service, and sloppy food preparation. My burger looked like it was thrown 10 feet into the box. But, if you do go, ALWAYS, ALWAYS check your items before you go. Ok, Culvers is a Wisconsin import. I love this place. The food takes a few minutes longer but its worth it. The meat is lean. The sizes are what you want. They dont try to give you super sizes. I have ordered many of the items on the menu, but i now get the Bacon Butter Burger Delux with Onion rings and a rootbeer (no ice). Not living in the twin cities, unless I have heard about a place from family or Yelp, I listen to suggestions. THe night we flew in, my aunt and grandmother said "Culver's." What a treat.! There Culver's deluxe is excellent with all of that tender, greasless meaty, cheesy, pickly, oniony, tomatoey goodness on a fresh bun; the fries are greasless and crispy. THe chilled custard with cherry and pecans a sublimely smooth with a plethora of sweet, salty, smooth, and nutty hitting your tastebuds like who knows what. The turtle cake is sinful with its rich layers of chocolate, custard, pecans, and caramel. Their strawberry shake is rich, smooth and creamy with real buttermilk and strawberries, no mixes here.! THe employees are very nice and wikll answer any questions that you may have. This location is clean. Round it off with a shake or one of there soft drinks, and needless to say one of their custards or ice cream cakes, and you wiill not be disappointed. This has definitely got to be some of the best fastfood that I have ever had. So, for excellent burgers, fries, shakes, custards, and ice cream cakes at rock bottom prices with friendly service in a clean, casual atmosphere, Culver's cannot be beat.
